5 starsI am very happy with Star Enrg. They installed 26 solar panels on my house, along with inverters and 10.2 kWh batteries. From the start, they gave me good advice on how to build the system correctly. The entire installation, including building scaffolds and the final test, took just 5 working days. I would like to echo many of the complaints below. Star Enrg and ***** ****** promise the world and deliver very late after much effort on the part of the buyer. It is a nightmare working with them. Subsequent to installation the system only produces 70% of the electricity promised in our contract. In February 2024 ***** acknowledged this and promised in writing to install additional panels so that the system will fulfill the electricity promised in my contract. To date and after a dozen promised installation dates, still nothing. I have initiated a small claims court action against Star Enrg but they even refuse to accept the filing papers that the court is attempting to serve. They have no physical office location, it seems, despite stating otherwise. This company is a fraud, they should be prosecuted by the state of Delaware. Do not do business with them!!!Star Enrg

It's the worst experience ever with this company.
I signed the contract on April 18th, 2022, and waited for a year (April 2023), no progress was made so I decided to cancel the project. Star Enrg team confirmed that a full refund will be issued. It has been over a year since I canceled, but I'm still waiting for my refund. Tried following up multiple times and all efforts in vain. No one responds. What kind of company keeps customer money for 2 years? there is no accountabilityStar Enrg

1 starStay away from Star Enrg and they are horrible in following a schedule or communicating a schedule. I contracted for solar panels, battery backup and charging port Star Enrg. Selected them based on the google reviews and the number of positive ratings. Now I am seeing the what the people who gave are negative ratings are actually 100% correct. A search on Better Business, you will see similar complaints. Should have checked Better Business before signing the contract. Absolutely would not recommend Star Enrg company even though they offer the best deal based on the experience so far.
The owner David specified an urgency to sign the contract signed in Early May so he could complete the implementation by May end to get the discounts that expire. He stated that the system has to be live by may end for the discount. The contract was signed on May 7th. They started installation on May 13th and were regular for the first few days till they got the initial deposit and the next two payments. Then they started working part time always with the excuse that they had to take care of an emergency with the recent storms. It’s now end of August, and they have still not completed the installation. They constantly schedule and then not show you or get pulled to go to another site stating and emergency. As of now racks are installed, wiring and ductwork is done along with the installation of one of the two inverters. They still have to install the balance of the panels, second inverter, monitoring unit, backup battery and charging port.
David and Sonie, the scheduler constantly lie about them coming and they don’t show up when scheduled. They have shown up when they are not scheduled to only work for a few hours. The workers spend more time unpacking and packing when they come for the few hours as they are moved to a different site.Review fromRoy W

I contracted Star Enrg in 2020. I was scheduled and promised many times with obvious excuses. Everything David Stokes, the owner and salesman, turned out not to be true. When I complained he became verbally abusive. Finally in early 2021 the project was installed and inspected but the system was never started and was not producing electricity. Finally in the summer of 2021 David Stokes came out and started the system. I did get a check from the company for lost production.
It is now the end of 2023 and I am still waiting for Star Enrg to allow my meter to be read automatically instead of manually. I have actually contacted the company that pays for production to contact Star Enrg and still no response or resolution.
In my opinion Star Enrg and David Stokes are not the company you want to hire. He is completely unprofessional and almost everything he says turns out to be untrue. Absolutely not worth the aggravation.Star Enrg

We are pleased to report we have extended this clients WIFI to reach his inverter system at no cost to the client. This clients contracted on 10/27/2020 and was in service 04/21/2021 glad to see the BBB is a pay to play service. These guys pay $3000+ per year in membership fees have 802 Complaints in 3 years 256 in 12 Months and somehow still an A+ don’t believe us check it out Momentum SolarReview fromKelly S

1 starWe have had a contract sign and promised the work would be done in 2019. As of this point 8/11/23 we still don't have solar in and our yard is a complete mess. Cash payment were made. I call weeks on end when I finally get a person I am told by Bianca that she can't do anything it's up to the crew to schedule! This is the worst service I have ever had! 1 starFraud company with no professionalism. I have signed the contract since April 2022 and yet my project is not fully completed. From my community people are still trying to follow up to get their work done and at least 5 families have backed out from the project asking for money back. Still they haven't got their money back. Whenever you call they will get your details and tell you will get back but never happens. Every month they schedule the appointment and move it for next month. They don't even have a courtesy to call back and inform you about not meeting the appointment date. You need to call 1 day before just to hear that appointment is moved for next month and that keeps on happening. Would suggest not to entertain these guys and collectively file a complaint for the mental harassment they are causing.
