      On 08/23/24 i made a deposit to Star Enrg for solat installation. They said they would do the installation in October but never did. After sending nemerous emails i was give sevral dates but they never came. In december they called again and said they would come 12/19/2024 the never came. I contacted delmarva power to inquire if they had given the approval for a battery solar system to be install at my home they said the grid in my area is closed so no solar can be install even if it battery operated. I request a cancelation on 12/23/24 and have been send emails as to when the refund would be available now they have stop answering .

      Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the delays and any inconvenience caused during your solar project scheduling.
      We acknowledge your deposit made on August 23, 2024, and regret the multiple scheduling changes that followed. While Delmarva Power currently restricts standard net-metered solar installations in certain areas, they do continue to permit systems with full battery backup configurations.
      A formal cancellation request was submitted on January 8, 2025, citing family-related reasons. This information, along with status updates regarding the refund process, was communicated to Ms. ***** through emails prior to receipt of this complaint.
      Our last conversation before receiving this BBB notice was also with Ms. ***** on Monday, April 7th, regarding the credits issued back to your card. The initial credit of $1,493.00 was successfully refunded. Regarding the remaining balance, our payment servicer has been in contact with Chase Bank. As of April 8th, they have advised that resolution of any card refund discrepancies typically takes 7–10 business days, depending on the client’s card-issuing bank.
      We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will follow up with confirmation once the process is complete. We appreciate your continued patience and remain committed to resolving this matter in full.

      On 08/23/2024 i paid Star Enrg $3500 for a down payment on a solar system $1500 from my credit card and $2000 from my savings. They have made several cancelation and no shows to do the installation on 12/23/2024 i cancel and requested a refund to which they stap responding to my email. I contacted my bank and was refunded $1500 to my credit card. I have been sending email and calling and no responds. Please i am begginh you to help me recover the money as my family and i are in great financial need.

      April 3, 2024 i had an approved repair for a leak caused by the installation of the solar panels. I paid for the repair out of pocket $825 and was told that i will receive the reimbursement within a few weeks. I than was advised that the check was sent out but never received it. I was told that it will be reissued but never was. I even offered to pick it up but no one could do that for me either. Its been 8 months and now i dont even get responses to my emails or texts. All i am requested is the money that i paid that they approved for my reimbursement to fix the repairs from the job they did.

      I had signed a contract in April 2022 for the Solar panel installation. They scheduled the installation multiple times, but no one shows up during that time and they do not inform in advance also. You keep waiting for them and keep wasting your time. Despite of the multiple calls and follow up, no progress made. After waiting for a 1 year, I cancelled the contract in April 2023 and Star Enrg confirmed that I will be receiving a refund within 1 month. I still have not received a refund after 1 and half year. I tried calling them many times, no response. ***** blocked my number. I sent multiple emails, no response. Finally, I had sent a demand letter by my lawyer. ***** did not respond to the demand letter as well. I still have not received my check as of October 2024. I have decided to file a Court case now.

      I signed the contract on August 10, 2022. And the solar panels still have not been installed. Nobody is showing up to do the work as scheduled, I was rescheduled over and over again during the past two year, but no actual works has been done. It’s been a nightmare to me. They keep telling me they will finish my job soon but I don’t see any progress.

The only open item remaining on the file pertains to the change of the original manufacturer, as mentioned in my previous response.       Given that the panels are already installed on the roof, I am unsure how to address any disagreement regarding this matter.

      I initially provided a deposit of$5000 0n 08/15/22. The salesman returned in 04/19/23.   I didn’t have the cash to pay for it, but he told me that they would finance the balance at 8.99%.  I signed the contract and he told me where to apply for the financing.  I applied and was approved at 9.99%.  I gave him the balance.  The completion date on the contract was 06/06/23.  The system was installed and inspected on 08/24/23 (not working) after many appointments were made and not kept with few advanced notices.  One time when they did show up in September to connect the Wi-Fi, they turned the power off that controls my Dryer and Air Conditioner.  I didn’t know why they were not working, so I hired an electrician to fix it and they charged me $97 just to come and reset the switch.  When I spoke to David about that I was promised $97 reimbursement as well as lost production credit to cover the delay because I was paying for the loan as well as my regular electric bill.  Battery installment was initially scheduled by the completion date in 06/23 and I was supposedly upgraded to full battery backup 6/29/23.  After the inspection, I was told that it was set for the week of 10/9/23.  It was subsequently changed to 11/15/23, and I have been given many bogus dates that have not been met, most recently last week with no results or excuses for not showing up. There are exposed wires on the side of my house and it has been like that since last year.

We promptly addressed this issue by replacing the faulty inverter, ensuring minimal disruption to your operations.

      Furthermore, we are pleased to confirm that the site has been operating smoothly and efficiently since then. However, we acknowledge your interest in further enhancing its capabilities, as indicated by your request for an additional inverter upgrade and storage installation.  That is scheduled to be fulfilled in May of 2024.

      This business will not hold up the responsibility of maintenance on the solar panels. Scheduled an appointment for them to come out. They did not show up or call to reschedule. Have tried several times to contact them and only get to leave a message. They have not called back to reschedule or do anything maintenance wise. If anyone is interested in getting solar panels do not use this company. It would be nice to get some help from someone regarding this matter.

      Star Enrg installed solar panels on roof of our residence. They installed a "critter barrier" material to keep small animals from getting under the solar panel array. The barrier is installed with double sided tape. Several pieces of the barrier have fallen off. I have been contacting Star Enrg for a year to repair. They refused to fix during summer hours due to traffic from Wilmington to our home. Every time a date is confirmed, they cancel on that date with the excuse of higher priority maintenance or some other activity.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Their crew was on-site on December 4th and completed the repairs and were very professional and helpful.
