I stopped in to willis ford in smyrna to look at a 2022 Ford maverick on 1/24/23. After a test drive I went in to talk with the salesman to have him give me options on how much a payment would be should I decide to purchase the vehicle in question. After the numbers came back and I didn't like the way they looked I informed the salesman that I wasn't interested in pursuing the truck in question any further and left. I have now received 3 letters in the mail from M&T Bank, Citizens Bank, and truist bank stating that I requested a loan for this truck, which I did not do. I stopped in to speak with the salesman about the issue and was told not to worry about it and that an average of 6 or 7 people a month come in with the same issue. This isn't a reassurance or a resolution to my issue and if anything it shows the general incompetence of this company. I told them that they needed to call the banks in question and any other banks that they applied to without my permission and they apologized and said that they would but I have my doubts. I will not be doing any business with willis in the future and I would recommend anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle to do the same.

Mr. Wigmore was in our dealership and wanted to see how much his monthly payment would be on a 2022 Ford Maverick. Mr. Wigmore was told that in order for us to get an accurate monthly payment, we would need to submit his information to the bank. Mr. Wigmore then provided his social security number, birth date, and other pertinent credit information. Once the bank came back with an interest rate and term, we were able to provide Mr. Wigmore with an accurate monthly payment. Mr. Wigmore at that time chose not to purchase the vehicle because of the monthly payment. We could not have submitted Mr. Wigmore's credit information to the bank without Mr. Wigmore volunteering the information. The letters he received are from the banks stating that there was an attempt to secure financing, as all banks do.
