“Horrible site bought an account from someone with purchase protection. Provided proof and logic the person took the account and scammed me. The playerauctions review board decides logic doesn’t matter and says person has to provided new login. Seller decides to not provided new login now loss of account and of money and playerauctions doesn’t hold seller accountable. Bad site not safe just take your money and won’t help you

Garbage identity theft company. Never trust this site. They will always find a way to deny you access to your content, shortly after you send all your sensitive information over.

So I Signed up and this happened

I signed up as I found this good offer for a fallout76 item, went through the regular Registration, once my sign up was completed my account was suspended, like right after the registration, I escalated a ticket and I was asked to explain the relationship between my account and someone else, when I clarified that I didn’t have anything to do with that, I was asked to take a selfie with my Driver’s License and then also send more personal information, when I told them that it was too much I was told sorry but either our way or the highway..not sure what was the reason.

Been using them for 15 years. Spent thousands of dollars. After numerous emails back and fourth? Providing the info they requested , they just can’t fix my account from my old phone number to my current number. I don’t even know how these morons function. I’ll be buying from somewhere else from here on out. What a joke of employe competence. Zero stars

Similar to the other complaints here, the "identity verification" is a way to grab your personal information for identity theft purposes. Someone needs to take legal action on them because in the field they are in, I can only imagine how many gullible kids trying to play games fall for this trap.

DO NOT SEND THE INFO THEY REQUIRE FOR "VERIFICATION". That info will be sold to a 3rd party vendor without any second thought.

Been with player auction for years, every year it gets worse. It started out ok before zendesk was involved. I have perfect rating on their site.

Writing this because I cant get help changing a simple phone number as I have changed cell carriers. This site wants a full cavity search to update this information. I have given them multiple pictures of myself and legal id which seems insanely invasive and probably an information scam and profile. They dont reply back and when they do, they make up some lame excuse im holding the id wrong? Excuse after excuse to just not update my account. Seems like a legit scam to gain interest off users money?
THEY claim its for security, however my account isnt in question for being hacked. It is a simple (not so simple to them) phone number update.
They are currently holding my money hostage from sales due to disbursement being unable to change phone number and update payment method from paypal, payoneer, and now skrill as they keep changing providers.
I still have not received my disbursement, the directions and "customer support"@zendesk is completely useless. They claim on their website they dont have live chat because "they want to improve the quality and efficiency of the service". What a joke!

    Tip for consumers:
I would be very cautious for any user that doesnt know this site is barely a middle man. They dont help at all during disputes. Their customer support is non existent. Zendesk is a horrible bot service. This is coming from a seller that has perfect rating and been with them for very long time. Sadly there arent many companies dealing in virtual goods.

IDENTITY THEFT - SCAM - BEWARE
I hope this post helps you avoid the mistake I made. DO NOT under any circumstance share your ID with these horrible people. If you are reading through thinking... oh it won't happen to me. IT WILL. TRUST YOUR BETTER JUDGEMENT.I shared my photo ID, credit card, and selfie holding the card to approve my purchase. Which in and of itself is F#CKING INSANE.I left a watermark on the outskirts of the photo saying "Verification for Player Auctions Only." This did not cover any information on the ID or Credit Card I provided. IT COVERED NOT A SINGLE WORD, LETTER, OR NUMBER. Nor did I cover the ID in the selfie holding photo with any watermarks over any information.Of course if you are wondering after reading all of the horror stories of people sharing their IDs and not getting verified. Guess what, I didn't get verified. This support agent "Maebelle" said:"Thank you for contacting PlayerAuctions regarding your concern. Please do not cover the details with watermarks. If you have any additional questions, please reply to this email."NOTHING of interest was covered via watermark. These mother f#ckers will do everything in their power to take your ID and not verify you.I feel so horrible for sellers on this platform. If you want a LEGIT website go to G2G. Trust me, its way F#cking better.

High risk of identity theft. Every single time an order is placed they try to have me send photos of my bank account, photos of me holding my credit card, asking for way too many details that who knows what they are doing with it. I used to have no problem placing orders I dont know why they do this now on every order. Also they still decline the order after violating me taking my photos. I cancelled the card they had me take a picture with now as well as put a lock on my ID they demanded pictures of. They also lied several times claiming the seller cancelled the order, I was in contact with the seller the entire time they never cancelled the order, playerauctions did after demanding way too many personal details that I expect them to have deleted.

Company offers account protection for 1 year if you pay for it. I did...original owner who sold me the account reclaimed it through Epic (game company). I tried to get my protection honored and they basically ask you to hack into Epic to gather impossible evidence that the account was reclaimed - Evidence that Epic won't give you because you aren't the original owner (account was not stolen - it was sold by the original owner who then stole it back after getting money). I even managed to get Epic to confirm that the account owner reclaimed it and submitted the evidence and they told me the evidence didn't prove anything...what? It literally said the owner reclaimed it. Then their PR team goes on reviews sites and lies and spins whatever narrative they want purely so they don't have to give back money. This site facilitates scammers and even scams themselves by offering protection you have to pay for, with no intent to ever honor it. I have a whole review on TrustPilot (Annemarie from 9/24 with a follow up on 10/10), SiteJabber (10/10) and a few others, by my characters here are limited. Either way, this company is a terrible company to work with, the lie, they request evidence they know is pretty much impossible to obtain, they pretend not to see evidence you submit, and they are incredibly slow to respond to issues as it is.

This place is literally the worst when it comes to payment verification. They asked me to send in a selfie of myself with my drivers license, my card with last 4 digits, and a screenshot of my bank account. So i did, but i blocked out my address because who wants to tell a website their address? They still did not approve my purchase. It makes no sense because I receive codes on my phone from capital one when i make a purchase, so of course i am legit. Don't support this business.
