    These people impersonated to be the FMCSA. They kept on telling me I needed to buy more Items in order to be operational as a towing company in Florida. My towing company name is TP Towing LLC. My DOT number is *******. The representative that assisted me multiple times told me he was the FMCSA agent assigned to my business and not to talk to anyone else, he Claimed his name is “John” the number I use to contact him is ************* They also have another phone number which is 866-477-0707. All I needed was a DOT number in order to be operational in my state. They told me I couldn’t operate until I bought some type of service over the phone for the amount of $49 on 09/07/2022. On 09/03/2022 they charged me $790 for a DOT and MC number. Keep in mind that all this time I think I am dealing with a government agency, not only because they said they were, but also the website and the emails I am receiving are coming from [email protected]. The last charge was for what he said was for the amount of $158.95 on 10/03/2022 for a mandatory “Driver qualification-files”

    Today October 4th, 2022 I called the real FMCSA because my DOT number is still not operational and John was not being helpful so I decided to deal with somebody else. That’s when I found out they were not associated and did not even know who these people were. I was informed I did not need the Driver qualification files, and that a DOT is provided free of charge and an MC number is $300. I am very disappointed that scammers like these are able to work around the system and get away with it. I hope other innocent people do not fall for this. Thank you in advance.
