      I canceled my service due to poor service and rude customer service when I called to complain about condition of my yard. Sarah answered the phone and refused to give me a refund for the remaining service. I ask her to then continue to send someone until my money was used up and again she refused. I asked to speak with Mr ***** or a manager or have someone return my call and again she refused. I wish to file a complaint and get the refund for services not received.

      Company sucks been a customer for over a year. We had a problem and after the first call to complain about a problem we had they never returned our calls. We called 3 or 4 times and they never answered we left voice messages with no response. Do not use this company they can’t be trusted

      I am in receipt of the Better Business Bureau review from Al ********. We have been to Mr. and Mrs. ********' house twice this week alone and I’ve spoken with her on the phone multiple times. The problem is not that we don’t return their phone calls, or that we do not show up on time as their services have been done on time, every time, and we always return their phone calls. The problem is that Mrs. ******** was demanding that we leave the rodent bait stations, that we supply with her service agreement on her property, “left open” so she could “inspect them" at at her convenience. This would be very very detrimental to any dog, cat, squirrel, child, or any other mammal as the bait that we use in the rodent stations is completely and totally deadly to all mammals. In addition to “absurd” demands, she then began stating that she owned the bait stations that we provide at our expense for the service of rodent control for which we charge only $30 per month. In fact, she started the service without paying an initial fee of $395.00, which is our normal fee, and we are not really sure how she did that. Had she paid that initial fee, she still will not own the bait stations. Her service agreement clearly outlines that. In a nutshell, she was behaving in an irrational and illogical manner to the point that we really do not want her for a rodent control customer anymore. Her demands to leave the rodent bait stations open, are not only illegal and extreme, it made Bates Exterminating decide that it was in her best interest as well as our best interest, and the general public at large, not to continue performing rodent control at her home.

      I paid in advance for one year of service, once every three months. For a one year . At the end of the contract I decided not to renew because there was no difference in the quality of my lawn. I still had a ton of weeds in my grass. Now supposedly they came and sprayed my grass after the year was up. I didn’t receive a notification on my door that they had even been here, nor the little sign in the yard. Nor did I ask them to spray after our contact was up. But they insist on charging me for a service I didn’t ask for , and didn’t receive,and now it’s been sent to collections, oh I will be hiring my family attorney to handle these crooks and put them in their place. Reading other reviews I see they have done this very thing to other people. Don’t be afraid to hire an attorney people because they will be paying my attorney fees and court costs. They picked the wrong person to mess with. See you in court bates ! Kyle ******* * * *****

      August 11, 2023 CERTIFIED MAIL **** **** **** **** **** Better Business Bureau **** * ***** ****** ******** ******* ***** Reference Complaint: Kyle ******* **** ** **** **** ***** ******* ***** To Whom It May Concern: I am in receipt of the review from Kyle *******. Mr. ******* contracted with Bates Exterminating on March 3, 2022, for every other month lawn service, not every 3 month lawn service as he stated in his complaint. As written in our agreement on page 2 under H DURATION OF THIS CONTRACT: The duration of this Agreement is for 12 consecutive months and automatically renews for another 12 consecutive months unless written notice of cancellation from the customer is received by Bates Exterminating’s headquarters via Certified Mail Return Receipt 60 days prior to its anniversary date. Mr. ******* did not send a written cancellation letter to our office. Mr. ******* did not respond to our office telephone calls made to him on March 22, 2023, and May 5th, 2023. Because we never received a call back, our technician stopped by Mr. ******** home to speak with him personally on May 10th, 2023. There was no response. The technician wanted to talk to Mr. ******* about the service and his poor watering practices. The technician did call the office from Mr. ******** location to confirm that he was at the customer’s home and wanted the customer’s account noted about the lack of proper watering. As far as Mr. ******** claim that no notification was left on his door nor a sign left in his lawn, all of our vehicles have GPS tracking. Mr. ******** complaint was about weeds in his lawn. All systemic products, including herbicides, must be activated by irrigation water in order for them to work. If preemergence herbicides are not watered in, weeds cannot be controlled. Mr. ******* was not watering properly. Mr. ******** threats are uncalled for. If Mr. ******* had just called our office or responded to our attempts to contact him both by phone and in person, his concerns would have been immediately addressed. As a gesture of good customer service and good relations, Mr. ******* will not be charged for the last service. Please consider this review closed.
