    I had ARW for my warranty company over the last year and it was just OK wasnt ****** satisfied. So we decided we would cancel. We were going to cancel it a few months prior to the policy ending, but the representative told me that there was no point in canceling it since I would get very little money back since you only get a prorated amount so we kept it. Long story short, my biggest concern was that they would charge me again for another year, which I did not want, but the representative assured me that would not happen. To protect myself as it came around to renewal time I called up again and spoke with another representative and said I was not renewing and if I needed to do anything to cancel my account officially, they told me no that I would not be charged automatically and since I removed my credit card from my account already I thought I figured we should be good. But of course, two days after the renewal. We get a notification from our bank that my husbands card has been charged now this card we dont even use anymore and I was the account holder with ARW so them charging my husbands card from a year ago that we dont even use anymore to me is fraud..but we were nice about it. We called up and said hey, we never authorize this charge. Weve called you and told you that we dont want the services. Things started out nice and they said they would cancel it and they were sorry. This was ******** Called again in February and they said money was coming, it could take a month just give them a few more days. Then March we called again were on the phone all day long literally all day on and off. Finally got almost all of the money returned to us but after talking to several regular employees, they refused to give us around $80 back because they said that we canceled early and it was an early termination fee. No one would give us a Supervisor they kept telling us that a supervisor would call us back within 48 hours but of course its been a week now and no one has called us back. No matter how many times I told them they charged us without consent and then I canceled my account they would not listen. They just continue to tell me that we had a month worth of service and decided to cancel early so it was something we had to pay, and that no matter what we would never see that money again. This company is a scam. I mean I can only imagine how many people they do this to. You have no idea how many calls it to took to get through. And how much time just to get what we got. And this is our money. They basically stole from us. We should have just went to our bank for theft but they lied and said they were refunding us for 2 months at first. We want the remainder of our money back and others to be warned. This was not a change of mind. Or someone who missed a deadline. This is someone who went above and beyond to ensure things were cancelled before the policy ended.

    Note: As sort of a general notice to the public and anyone who may read this, what you are reading here is a HIGHLY condensed and summarized version of events that leaves many important points out. Unfortunately, there is a character limit in place for what can be put in the space Which was nowhere near adequate enough. So please realize that there is far more to this than what youre reading and I would encourage EVERYONE , at least in ********** (which has an entirely different set of circumstances) to avoid this company at all costs. Summary/condensed version:Due to discovering that I entered into a contract under false pretenses ,thus rendering the contract voidable , I withdraw my verbal (nothing was ever signed) acceptance of it and am respectfully but firmly demanding immediate action on the items outlined in this complaint. I had agreed to a contract with ARW verbally over the phone and was informed that in **********, a third party named *** Home Protection Company was the servicer and administrator which is also stated in contract.This was basically a bait and switch because that is not the entity servicing the contract. The real company is called Warrantech whom has a deplorable reputation. Had I known the real entity , Id never have agreed to the contract in the first place.Warrantech is not authorized to act as home protection company on **********. They are only authorized to service auto warranties (which is anecdotally about 95% of their business with the rest being one-off extended warranties on consumer products at big box stores ) *** home protection IS but that is not who is actually servicing it. What ARW has essentially done is sell me a contract under the guise of a home protection plan but which is actually thrown together piecemeal extended warranties on individual appliances with indv plan numbers none of which match the plan/policy in my contract. This contract is voidable and therefore I want every ***** back I paid.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Let me give the public a glimpse of how this massive corporate conglomerate operates.. I am FULLY aware as to whom this complaint belongs with.That is where I started! I currently have three of the same complaints filed across 3 BBBs & 3 entities. Why you ask? Ill explain. Complaint 1 was filed with ARW in ******* on 1/27/23. Which is where it should be and as youve just confirmed.However, the complaint to ARW was automatically closed the very next day and forwarded to Warrantech, per instruction by ARW to the BBB and w/o a chance for me to object . ARW offered no explanation. They simply stated you have the wrong company So either they didnt read the complaint or the read it and they are showing an alarming level of malfeasance . After the ******* bbb sent the complaint to warrantech and b/c I already knew thats the wrong venue, I filed complaint 2 with ************ in ******** (one of the parent companies).  Several days went by and heard nothing.  So I filed complaint #3 with ARW AGAIN. And it was rejected and forwarded to warrantech AGAIN citing the same reason even after adding a note explaining the back and forth happening!! Finally I hear from someone from warrantech via email on 3/7/23 (8 days later) who is able to assist with a couple issues but the primary issue and majority basis of my complaint she tells me belongs with ARW (ya I know that!!) and that she has forwarded my complaint. (Oh great since I hadnt already thought to do that or anything !!) On 3/10, I finally get a response from ************. Take one guess what it said yep. same response , same actions taken.  Then, on the very same day and time, I get the reply from warrantech that you see above ?? . So here I am ******************************************************************************************************************************************* both. How on earth does a company get to a place where they think they can pull this kind of underhanded game playing?  What is worse is that a significant # of entities under this corporate umbrella operate under the same address /bldg (and therefore, by the same people). You dont think for ONE SECOND they arent aware that theyre sending me in circles ???  Oh theyre very much awareand even if they werent, I literally told them in my subsequent complaints at the top as a disclaimer so it was the first thing they see!!

    Im Done with games.  Someone needs to make this right and they need to do it NOW. This is unacceptable on every imaginable level. And Keep in mind , none of this was even part of my original complaint! This is on TOP of everything else. If they think that this hamster wheel they put me on is acceptable , then the issues are even bigger than I thought.

    Note: this is not a rejection of the the business response but I needed to treat it as such in order to A) be able to add a f/u comment  and B) to keep the complaint open while I continue to wait for the remaining check to arrive in the mail which is currently  late according to their stated turnaround time for me to receive it .

    At the time that  I receive this last check, I will confirm that the complaint has been satisfied as far as myself is concerned. 

    Also, I want to be very clear that YES the business did immediately contact me once it landed on someones desk . BUT again, this was only after almost a month of being bounced around back and forth as referenced in my rejection above and not getting anywhere when contacting them directly.  So in other words, once my problems were being addressed by higher tier associates , I felt like I was being heard finally.  But at the customer service representative level or call center level, customer service is virtually nonexistent . Its impossible to get through by phone without waiting an hour (and often not even then)  unless you select make a payment in the automated phone system . And then someone picks to right away.  That definitely creates an impression . And not a positive one. This point is mentioned by many others as well. 

    Lastly,  If you make a point of putting a note in your Bbb listing with a point of contact to reach out to prior to filing a complaint as a requested courtesy, I would suggest that someone actually respond to the customer should they decide to acquiesce and heed your request .

    Applied for a home warranty plan on 2-22-23. Received ****************** on 3-24-23 by email. Determined plan was not equal to current plan and tried to contact sales person, *******, by email to cancel. She did not respond. Attempted to reach ARW on Saturday 4-25-23 and no one answered phone. Reached customer service on 3-27-23 and provided all attempts to cancel. Was told policy would be cancelled and refund would be issued. Have contacted ARW repeatedly regarding refund. Get switched from person to person, eventually ending up with greeting recording or getting disconnected. I would like a refund of $919.76. Thank you.

    on januray 17 2023 I spoke to ********************* my policy number is arw16706030 during our conversation with *********************** told her that I was looking for new coverage due to another home warranty. I had told her the reason for leaving them was because i had an issue with my ac unit and they found that part of the issue was duct work and found that i was not covered. when i was talking to ********************* about that problem, i asked her do you cover duct work , she checked and told me yes i said i am in sc and most of the homes here have there duct work in the craw space, she then said they cover it where ever it runs . so i did purchase the plan and they took ***** out of my account, i was waiting for a coverage sheet to arive in my email or the mail to my home a couple of weeks passed and i had another rep. called to up sell me and i told him , i dont even know what is covered yet because i was waiting for the coverage sheet , he then sent me that info. by email and wanted to check the coverage to find duct work is not covered if in a crawl space, i am 65 years old and a disabled i also live on an income of ****. a month , thay did a bait and switch on a disabled senior. i was told i would get a full refund within **** days but i did not. so today i called about the refund and was told i will not be getting one , it was the falt of arw for misrepresenting the product the second i found out i did cancel. as a disabled senior i have been stressed out from this issue. according to arw a phone calls are recorded please listen to them , the truth will come out, ********************* should be terminated for her bait and switch practice.

    I was looking for information on obtaining a home warranty for some appliances that the manufacture warranty had expired, I thought I needed a home warranty plan. ARW Home contacted me by phone and explained they had a Kitchen Plus plan that would probably work for me and the price quoted seem fair ($48,51) a month. I agreed to purchase this plan on 8 November 22. On 10 November 202 I received from ARW, Their Home Protection Service Agreement, Declaration of Coverage, The agreement showed an additional covered item of washer/dryer which was not explained in the telephone quote and that was an additional covered item and the amount listed in the agreement was $49.98 different than quoted. I was charged the quoted price for this service but since was a little higher than want was quoted I decided and did not need this home warranty after all. On 10 November 22, I send an email to customer service requesting to cancel and requested a refund of the purchase price of $45.81. Never received any correspondence from them. This company is extremely difficult to contact by phone. I attempted to call ARW Home Warranty several times and finally made contact on 14 November 22. I spoke with a customer representative and tried to explain that I did not want the service plan due to the price change and stated I realized I did not need this type of service, she argued with me and was rude. She finally stated I could cancel the service and I would be refunded the initial payment of $45.81, I asked for a confirmation number that she stated there was none. She also stated it would take 30 days for a refund and I would receive any email confirming the cancellation. I never received any emails from this company. On 9 December 22, my bank was charged another payment of $45.81. I need your assistance in getting this company to refund me a total of $91.62 and a document that states my service agreement has been cancelled.

    I am rejecting this response because: the reply only explains how the amount of the sale was computed, not that the policy would be closed, cancelled on 8 January 2023. The customer service representative I spoke to at telephone number ************, explained I have coverage through 7 January 2023, therefore the policy could not be cancelled until 8 January 2023 and no additional payments would be charged.  He also stated I would not get a refund of $91.62, because I did not speak to the correct customer service representative to cancel the policy, which I think is not right since this company is very hard to get in touch with and I send them an email on 10 November 2022 to cancel the policy and never heard back from them.  If I can't get my money back I what to get a reply in writing that states this home protection warranty is cancelled as of 8 January 2023 and no further payments are required.

    My mother signed up for extended home warranty with this company and I followed suit shortly after her. Upon completion of our transactions, I received the contract and read through the fine print. I wasn't happy with the limitations placed on the costs of repairs/replacements and also read that we should be able to cancel for a full refund within 30 days. Well this company has made it impossible to cancel. No option to do so online. Contact them for payment and someone picks up within seconds every time. An employee confirmed to me that there is only ONE line for cancelations! It's despicable and unethical to try to take advantage of people like this. Both my mother and I have sat on hold for ridiculous wait times to no avail, before giving up, which is exactly their plan! They hope to make you give up and get stuck in the contract with them! I was just dissatisfied with the product/services offered but this behavior only confirmed that I should run away fast! Please contact us immediately to facilitate a refund and cancelation for both my and my mothers account.

    The sales person said if I canceled the subscription before December 1st, that I would not be charged. However, I have not been able to get through to the company. There is no way to email or leave a message on the website. And it's impossible to get through via phone. I have spent five hours today. I want to cancel this subscription and as of today the $49 charge is pending. My credit card company cannot do anything until it's processed. And if I cannot cancel I may have to go through this every month. I was on hold for close to an hour. I was able to request a call back, but never got one several hours later. I simply cannot get through!

    I have been trying to cancel this service I get constant texts and emails when I called back to the number they put me on hold and no one answered the phone when I called back and talk to a representative they say that they cannot handle this it **** to go to accounting they transfer me to accounting and nobody picks up I want to cancel my service I am not renewing this company is unbelievably inefficient and efficient

    We have had two issues with this company 12/6/2021 and 6/16/22. The salesman told me that when I call that someone would be out that day to look at it. He asked about the age of all appliances and we gave him. They told us the cost to replace items and said things were fully covered. I paid for a full year up front. I have yet to get full payment on anything. The last incident cost ****** and only got 600 and they could never find anyone to come to the house. I told them on 6/22 when we had found someone to service our central a/c I told ******* that I won't renew. I find out from my bank that on 10/12 they debited my account. ****** called and spoke with ************* she said she would send the request with our reason that ******* just listed it as a complaint and nothing about canceling. I don't want this service. They do nothing that they advertise and their salesperson lied about their services and scared me with problems and I have had to pay for everything uo front instead of what they said.     I've called American Residential Warranty several times in order to cancel my service. When I call, I'm put on hold for a very long time and no one ever responds. It is not possible to cancel on their website. You must call. I just want to cancel my service immediately.
