Current payment information is totally absent on my Office Depot/Citibank Account **********************************. I'm sure I had scheduled a payment of $41.25 for this account in early July. However, this payment is not reflected when I access my online account, and I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOBODY I can contact to check on this issue (I either get the usual useless automated messages when I telephone, and nobody in the local store has access to credit card information). This is not the first time I'm unable to get updated credit card information from Office Depot/Citibank. I'm leaving the country soon to make some money (July 10th), and I'd like to get this answered before I leave the country.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because the issue is still not resolved. Yes, I attempted to make a payment online twice, but both times the payment was rejected. I tried to call up Office Depot/Citi, but it's impossible to reach a live person with the phone numbers they give.Then, because I was unable to pay online, I sent in a paper check a few days ago for $43.15. Refer to the attached letter. I paid for the original amount + interest, BUT NOT THE LATE FEE. I feel that they should have notified me of their decision on August 9th BEFORE they charged me a late fee.
This situation with Office Depot/Citi HAS BEEN VERY CONFUSING. I don't know why they don't accept payments online and they have no service personnel available to resolve the situation that's beyond the automated responses they give when you call in. I've also had several problems ordering items. Once we get this resolved, I would prefer closing down my account.

I am rejecting this response because the payment system through the Citibank issued card IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS. It took me 4 attempts to pay off this account over several months. I first tried to pay the account in June and July through the Office Depot credit card system at:******************************************************************************************************************
Both times my payments were rejected. Then I tried sending in a paper check on August 14, 2024 to the ************ address listed on the statement. This check was never received. I finally made a payment through the automated system at ************.
I don't know why it was so difficult making a payment to Citibank/Office Depot!! If my account is finally "zero-*** out, I want my credit card to be closed out immediately. It shouldn't take this long to process or make payments.

Order 371137119-001 was placed on June 12 2024. On June 15 I've received notification that ordered item was delivered. Unfortunately the item was delivered to a wrong address **** proof of delivery image shows somebody else residence). I've contacted Office Depot immediately and they promised to get this resolved in 1-2 business and with maximum timeframe of 8 days. They gave me incident # ******-002616. On 06/21 I went to the facility to purchase a new computer chair. I visited the store on *************** and the Manager was very helpful for me to pick the right chairs. Unfortunately, the chair was not available at the store, and I had to go to the office **** off Hwy 14. I approached the gentleman and advised that I was here to purchase the chair on hold. When he returned from the back with the chair, I stepped aside and asked to give me a moment so I can pull my gift card up. Due to internet connection, it was taking a little longer than normal, so I advised the associate to go ahead and help the next customer while my gift card was loading. When he was done, he then proceeded to advise me that I need to show proof my Office Depot gift card was legit and, in his words, " Not Fraudulent", I asked him is this a store policy where we are required to provide proof of our purchase of the gift card, and the associate said yes. I then asked the associate who then went to retrieve another associate and stated in order for me to purchase my item I would need to provide proof and he will have to get his manager to override the purchase. I then asked again can you explain why I would need to show proof? What if this card was a gift from someone to me? How would i provide proof? No answer can be provided but an answer of, " Well people come in here all the time with fake cards". So, while the white associate was staring at me, I asked her will you be asking the gentleman in front of you for proof of his gift card since he was paying with a gift card, the answer was snide and rude, and her words were " Why". Not only did i provide proof of my LEGIT gift card, I am wondering why husband and I was targeted to provide proof and no one else in the store. We are African American and the other customer was white. Please help me understand why we were discriminated against and why no one can provide me the policy. I ordered 3 Blue Parrot headsets from office depot on 5/31. After I received my order I only got 1 headset and not all 3. My three hour chat with online support got ugly on June 10th 2024 when office depot offshore support supervisor ******** called me and was very hostile. We were trying to resolve an issue with a gift card added to the purchase of an external hard drive. After no resolution, I place my order without gift card. While ******** fraudulently ordered a $3400 filing cabinet and $300 warranty to be sent to a 20 year old address that was on my account. That began a whole series of emails, phone calls with their business development manager *****************************. She told me by phone her boss ordered her to contact me for a summary of what happened, but then emails and phone calls afterwards proved different. I only received canned emails from ***** at their Boca Office and ******** with their 3rd party delivery service. I have repeatedly asked for someone in their fraud department to contact me and even asked ***** for legal department contact info and I have been completely ignored. I would like to see proof that this matter has been investigated, the employee punishment and my refund on the warranty item along with assurances from their it department that there will be no further issues logging into my account. Office Depot Corporate Refuses to cooperate with the continued hijack of 20 year old merchant account. Website routinely reports wrong inventory levels resulting in purchases made and then returned due to insufficient inventory. Corporate has blocked all calls from us and encourages us to deal with their offshore customer service department. The same Bunch of Indians who hijacked the account and ran up frivolous charges shipping to a 20 year old address. Cannot get support on past orders current orders or future orders. They continue to wrongfully address my name and repeat a study flow of lies. We have moved on from using them as a vendor but regulation is needed for this company performing illegal activities with no accountability whatsoever. I wanted to bring to your attention as the BBB of the way Office Depot sold me your 2 pack of TN221 Black Ink cartridge's. Note from the photo there was NO Brother box and no way to tell what ink this is as it is NOT indicated on the silver bag only Brother. I trust that Brother did NOT ship this to Office Depot like this and it looks like a return. This was shipped from Office Depot of MN.When I reached out to Office Depot multiple times via multiple channels over the last week including but NOT limited to *********************** in the executive office REFUSED to refund me or ship a new 2 pack of ink that I paid for in full. I am NOT sure what is going on at Office Depot as I never had this happen before. I have this ready to be picked up at office depot and they promised me a $30.00 for the inconvenience, a new 2 pack of TN 221 Black ink and to credit the 50% back in Office Depot rewards that was to be honored on this order. None of this has happened and in fact *********************** in the Executive office REFUSED to do that after ****** had promised this in writing as was confirmed by ***** at Office Depot.Can you please assist with this. I would be greatful for any help you can provide.I have included a photo so you can see how Office Depot fraudulently sold a return and cartrigdges that were NOT in the original package. As I am sure you can agree this is NOT what we paid for and we cannot accept or use these and we have done all in our power to try to get this resolve as outlined in detail herein.Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter.Business Response

Dear BBB,
The customer was provided all accommodations for all the 50% back in rewards plus the $30.00 discount. The ink that was delivered damaged or open was returned and the customer was also refunded for $******, and this can take 2-10 days to post to his account. The customer has received a total of ****** in gift cards to address his concerns and also the $****** that will post within 2-10 days back to his account for the returned ink. I advised the customer he will have to reorder the ink if he still need it. We've accommodated him via gift cards and have also returned the defective ink and he was credited ****** and it will post within 2-10 days. The customer will have to reorder the ink at this point. No further action is required by Office Depot.
