I placed an order on February 9th 2024. And paid $11.08 for my order. I received a shipping confirmation that day stating delivery of 2/12/24 . A few days after I emailed customer service stating that my order never came and I was never provided the correct shipping information. I was then Informed my order was a price error and it was not shipped and has been cancelled. I was told I would be refunded. I was refunded for the order which was .53 cents and never refunded for the shipping cost . I have contacted them twice about this issue. And I have been told that they have refunded my order when I have received .53 and nothing else. I am looking for the rest of my money back. They should have never submitted the order was shipped and they should have cancelled this from the beginning . I have also found out I am not the only person who is dealing with this issue now. Right now Office Depot is stealing money from various customers.Business Response

On 2/22/2024 i placed order # *********-001. The order total was $109.74 and it was for an office chair. The chair was delivered to me the following day on 2/23/2024 and was defective. It made loud clicking sounds when i moved it around. I set up a return and returned it that very same day. I dropped it off at ******* Store with a prepaid label that Office Depot provided. ******* return tracking number was 1Z54V8639095774218 and Office Depot received it back yesterday. I have requested a refund from them twice since yesterday and they still have not been kind enough to issue one. Is this something the BBB can please help me with? Can the Office Depot person who ends up reading this please have our refund issued? I am a 65 year old disabled widow and i need that money back as soon as possible for groceries.Business Response

order 350873181-001 placed 1-18-24 for item ******* which I thought would be mailed to me. There was no mention of download link on the website. Carton shows shipped 1-18-24. I never rec'd carton nor an electronic software download. I have spoken with chat line 2 times (question reference 240125-016104) and customer service 3 times (ticket ********* as well as many emails from several people. Apparently all customer service is now handled by *****. The reps have been nice, but couldn't speak English well and have not been empowered to make decisions except to tell you to wait another ***** hrs for the support resolving team. I have the names of everyone I have spoken to and the dates. On 1-30-24 one customer care person sent me 2 emails, one was suppose to include the download link, it didn't. After I was promised a refund, I contacted ********* directly. Got same item, for same price, and had it downloaded within 15 min. Office Depot customer service has really gone downhill. It pains me to do a complaint because I always liked Office Depot. It's been over a month. I was also told that several customers have complained about the same issue. Office Depot apparently has major issues with what they refer to as a 3rd party. Please refund my money. I'm so tired of all the time I have spend trying to resolve issue, then trying to get a refund. I'm surprised with all the bad reviews and complaints I have been reading that BBB hasn't downgraded this company which use to be a top notch, well respected, and loved company.Business Response

On February 22, 2024, at approximately 11:22 EST, I was trying to place an order via the Office Depot app. Since I had changed the address, I tried to add this address, which is in *************. However, the app kept wanting me to pick up the order in ************. The order was not placed as i did not an could not go to ************ to pick up my order. There was no way for me change this no matter what I did. I then entered into chat and spoke with a person identifying himself as ***************************. ******* kept asking for an order number.. I clearly stated that I had not ordered anything as I did not have the ability to pick up and order in ************. ******* kept asking for my order number, which I did not create. ******* disappeared and did not respond. I, then, decided to reattempt the chat and was connected to a person identified as ***************************. ***** did the same thing. *****, like *******, only asked for the order number. I finally told him that he was doing the same that ******* had done. The same verbiage. It was almost as if they both were reading from a script. I then thought I would call and get help, so I called *************, which was on the app. When I called, I was connected to a person who identified herself as *****. i explained to ***** what had occurred in detail. She asked for an order number. We then entered into a verbal altercation, so I asked for a supervisor. She told me that none was available. After much banter in which ****** had lied to me stating that nobody was available, I was connected to a supervisor named ****. However, before connecting me, I had to ask ***** several questions as there were too many answers that made no sense. I even heard a television and dogs barking. When I told *****, she responded that she is working remotely. I told **** what had happened. **** offered to help me with the order, but I decided not to. I would like to speak with someone about what happened.Business Response

02/21/24 Called Office Depot to purchase product with last $10 on Gift card. I could not do so without adding my own credit card even though my purchase was under $10. The customer service lady said I had to add my card when I told her the last lady helped me and I didn't have to I was put on hold for her to check and she was going to do it. then she said I had to pay $9.95 for shipping and the last order I placed I was able to pay $5.95 with the lady on the phone she said she could not. they have very pior customer service and I guess each person make their OWN RULES. I will use this last $10 for issues last time I ordered with them and WILL NOT order with them again and WILL NEVER recommend them to anyone!!Business Response

On Wednesday February21, 2024 I was placing an order with the representative with the last $10 on my gift card and she told me she had to charge me the highest amount there was for shipping instead of the lowest which would have been covered on My gift card and therefore i would have had to use my credit card as well along with the gift card which the shipping could have been $5.95 and not $9.95 and would have been covered and there fore I could not only use my gift card. I have had nothing but VERY BAD EXPERIENCIEMCES with this company and was trying to use the last $10.00 to not be bothered with their services anymore and that has even been made hard to do. This has not been a very pleasant shopping experience at all and I would not recommend them to anyone!!!1Business Response

I ordered a tv stand on 2/7/24. I used the live chat and was asking if there was a way I could see this in person. I was told no, but they would give me a 10% coupon due to the trouble. I was told to place the order and then give them the order # for them to credit. I asked them to hold on while I did the order, which they agreed to. When I placed the order, they messaged me with a reference # and an apology. So I got with another live chat who couldnt help. Then a call from a supervisor. She canceled the original order placed on a gift card then did a new one charged to my credit card. I told her what she did and she said she credited back my card and then did the order from the gift card. No idea what she did from here as she charged my card 2x! The one I understand, but Im not sure how she did it again. Not to mention I received notice I was getting two tv stands! I spent the next two weeks trying to cancel the duplicate order. I spent nearly 20 hours on the phone during this time with Office Depot. I was told the order was shipped but *** said it wasnt and only the seller could cancel. I contacted around 3/4 supervisors during this time. Each one not even helping. One saying theyll cancel the order with *** only to then transfer me to *** after putting me on hold for about 45 minutes. Another said theyd refund my credit card, which to this day my card still havent been refunded and Ive been accruing interest on the $217 purchase I never authorized. Not to mention, the item was delivered and I had to move this 80lb box under cover to protect it from the rain until it could be picked up again, which I had to arrange as well. So yeah. 4 supervisors. 1 creating all these problems. An unauthorized charge on my card. A huge inconvenience of a duplicate order being shipped to me house. About 20 hours of my life to try and rectify this and my card still hasnt been credited back at this time!Business Response

I have been a rewards customer purchasing for my company and built up some good rewards I was planning on using. When I logged into my account and saw that my account balance was $0.00 I was confused so I started checking my account. To my surprise someone was able to use my rewards in-store, in a different state. Which is very confusing to me sone my password is very complex, but I assume there is a different reason this happened. On 1/28 someone bought an item in ******, ** for $76.59 using my rewards of $71.78 so they put the rest on a debt card. The next day that item was refunded in store at ****************, ** to a debt card. The full amount was refunded to a debt card and not back to the rewards account at all. I worked in retail a long time in a part career and this is considered refund fraud, I assume this is a employee of the store since the return phone number that was used does not match mine at all. I have attached photos from my account to show what was done. Again, I do not live anywhere near ** or these locations, I am located in *********, **. I did not purchase this since the debt card does not match mine at all, nor does the return phone number that is listed on the refund. Maybe this was an honest mistake, or maybe there is a employee doing this. Either way I want this looked into and an explanation on how and why this was allowed to happen.Business Response

On January 20th, ****, I purchased an office chair from Office Depot in person at ~11:00 AM Central (Shown in the attached Confirmation E-mail.png) for next-day delivery. Approximately two hours later, at ~1:00 PM Central on January 20th, ****, I received a cancellation notice (Shown in the attached Cancellation E-mail.png). I wanted to give benefit of the doubt, and I waited through the estimated delivery period, but the office chair never arrived.I called Office Depot support on January 22nd, **** at 3:17 PM Central to inquire about the status and receive a refund. After the associate was unable to back-order the item due to being out of stock, they told me I would receive a refund in five to seven business days.I waited the period, but never received the refund in question. I called Office Depot again on Feb. 6th, **** at 3:06 PM Central to ask regarding the refund. I was told at the time a ticket was created and the issue would be resolved.A contractor reached out to me informing the chair was going to be delivered on February 9th, **** between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. I was home all day, and never heard a knock or received a delivery indicator. When reaching out to the contractor, they are yet to respond (Shown in the Contractor E-mail.png).I would like assistance in receiving the full amount of the chair refunded to me, please.Business Response
