Today I received an email from Office Depot. I have had business transactions with them in the past. The email I received from them stated that I had signed up for an account that would start charging me $49 for a business service. I did not sign up for that service. They have my financial account information, and it was stated that it would automatically charge my account in **************************************** the past few months and I never approved this business transaction. I tried to delete my Paypsl account info, but could not. I tried to delete and change my Office Depot account, but could not. I tried to call their headquarters and chat with them, and there was no answer.

      Dear BBB,
Thank you for forwarding our customers complaint. The email customer received was an error by the marketing team and it's been fixed. I spoke with the customer and advised him he isn't enrolled in the business select program and he will not be billed. The customer accepted this outcome.

I received an email from Office Depot that was legit, and linked to their actual website, saying that I had signed up for a one month trial of their business select account. I have NOT done so, and the trial says that it will start charging $49 a month after the trial expires. However, when I log in to the website, it doesn't show I am participating in the free trial. Out of an abundance of caution, I changed my password, implemented 2 factor authentication and added a security question. I also went to remove my saved payment information but it wouldn't let me. I also tried to access their chat helpline but after waiting over 20 minutes I just got an answer that said the chat had timed out.

Account # **********. I never visited their stores or online stores for months. However, today, they suddenly signed me up for a trial without my consent, which they will charge me after 30 days. I tried to cancel it by visiting their website but it is not even accessible. They do not answer the phone. Therefore, they blocked me from cancelling it and they are trying to charge me without my consent. Please have them cancel it and let me know why they signed me up without my consent. I appreciate BBB for helping me.

I have an account with ********************** that I havent used in years and today I received two strange emails: one stating I just earned $0 in rewards and then another one claiming I was signed up for a free trial of a subscription service called Business Select that after the one month would charge me $49. I did not sign up for this service nor does my account seem compromised and a scan of Reddit and ******* show others are having the same issue. Either there is a major error on their end or they truly are trying to reactivate old customers by falsely charging them for something they did not consent to. On their website, under my account it does NOT show that I am signed up for this service however I cant delete my account or delete the credit card on file. Further, they are not answering phone or chat messages and are hanging up on people. They need to delete my account entirely and ensure I am not charged.

I have received two emails now from the Office Depot website thanking me for my recent activity and also signing up for the free Business Trial. This is a deceptive practice that had me log into an account that I not used in a long time. I had to use my email to log into the account to see if I had actually been signed up for anything and was then made to create a new password. I had not been signed up to any trial and there was no recent activity on the email.

I received an email from Office Depot thanking me for signing up for a business select trial, and that I will be automatically charged $49 annually after the trial ends. I never signed up for this, nor do I have any log in information with them that would allow me to stop this from happening. I only have a free in-store account I made in person last year. Said account has no log in information for their website. It is only accessible in store by phone number.

I received an unsolicited email from Office Depot / Office Max today saying "Thank you for signing up for a free trial of Business Select." I did not sign up for anything. In the fine print at the end of the email, it says "1-month Free Trial: Business Select Program annual membership fee of $49 will be automatically charged to your credit/debit card upon completion of the 1-month free trial period."I never signed up for this!!!!! I am a rewards member that gives me a few points during the year and sometimes discounts, but I am NOT a business and I NEVER signed up for this! I have not been able to find an email address to reach them, they conveniently make themselves not available by email -- and their so-called 24-hour chat line never responded to me. I want a confirmation from the business that they are NOT to charge any credit cards they may have on file for me for this threatened unauthorized charge.

On January 24, I purchased the 2023 Basic Turbo Tax software (download version) for $43.89, order number 352034389-001. I received a confirmation email that stated I would receive another email with the download link on January 29th, but I haven't received it yet. I checked the status, which said the software was "available now." I called Office Depot's service desk two times and was given two ticket numbers (******** and ********). I was told someone would call me back, but I haven't received any calls.
