Twice I have purchased $25 gas gift cards as a promotion from Office Depot. Twice now, Office Depot has not shipped them out despite my receiving e-mail confirmations from Office Depot that they were shipped and would be received in 2 to 5 business days. After months go by, the tracking shows **** never gets the cards - and therefore, I never get the cards. This is a scam by Office Depot and needs to be investigated.Business Response

Please feel free to review security camera footage for verification. On Thursday, June 15 at approximately 9:30 AM, I stopped by the Office Depot location at *******************************************************, to return some Office Depot 3 ringer binders that my son purchased with his Pell ***** monies for school. My son could not find his original receipt. I offered to stop by the store while running other errands. I went to the service desk. I stood there waiting for 10 minutes while two associates were discussing a register transaction. Both associates saw me but never addressed me. Finally, one of the two associates named **** asked me if he could assist. I stated I needed to return the 3 ring binders, all Office Depot brand, all with original Office Depot labeling attached. **** stated that he could not accept the returns without a receipt. I was kind of shocked. I was certainly not looking for or needing cash back. A store credit would have been fine so my son could purchase additional items in the future. **** stated that there are no stores of any kind that accept returns without a receipt. **** stated that I could have walked in off the street, trying to return the items. I stated that I did just come in the front door with the items. **** stated that I could have taken the items off the store shelf and then brought them to the desk to return. There was another customer waiting behind me. I was publicly shamed, stunned, treated like a vagabond coming in to cash out at Office Depot. **** further stated that the only way he can do the return is with a register receipt to pull up the transaction. **** then gave me a business card with a phone number to call for no receipt. I was publicly humiliated and left the store. The primary issue is not the return but the public shaming. Once home, I looked at the return policy on Office Depot website for the items. I should have been offered in-store credit. I am asking for a formal response to this complaint.Business Response

I am having a highly frustrating experience as a result of participating in an Office Depot's gift card promotion on 06/05/2023. The experience has left me deeply disappointed with their customer service and lack of accountability. The promotion involved purchasing Mastercard gift cards to receive $15 off for every $300 of cards bought. I bought 6 $200 cards. Initially, everything seemed to go smoothly as I received the expected $60 credit at the time of purchase. The receipt stated that the cards would be activated within 24 hours, but now, a week and a half later, only the first card on the receipt has been activated, leaving me unable to use the remaining cards.Seeking a resolution, I reached out to the bank customer service number provided on the back of the cards, contacted the out-of-state store where I made the purchase on vacation, and even reached out to Office Depot's corporate office. Despite multiple attempts, none of these avenues have yielded a solution to my problem. I even took the cards to my local store to prove that a had the cards in my possession and to demonstrate that 5 of the 6 cards that I paid for are not activated---all to no avail. No one has taken effective ownership of a problem that is due to the failure of Office Depot to have my cards activated at or after purchase. The lack of progress and the prolonged timeframe have only added to my frustration. This entire experience has been a time sink, and I regret making the purchase under these circumstances. Office Depot's inability to address the problem promptly and effectively, coupled with their lack of accountability, reflects poorly on their commitment to customer satisfaction. As a loyal customer who has previously taken advantage of their promotions, I expected better support and a resolution that aligns with their reputation.I write to request that the last five gift cards on the receipt be activated immediately.Business Response

On May 5, 2023, Office Depot took out of my checking an unauthorized amount of $129.99. I initially thought someone was trying to use my account. I went to the bank and closed the account and reopen a new account. Later I found out it was Office Depot that was unauthorized to take this out of my account. I have not purchased anything in over a year. My initial contact with Office Depot was on May 5, 2023 and explained what happened. I have contacted Office Depot several times after my initial contact to get this resolved. I asked Office Depot to mail the $129.99 to my home address that I gave them. Their response was, we will investigate the matter. Today June 8, I contacted Office Depot and the response was, I would need to join some type of communication with them for fee to get this matter resolved. Please help me with this problem. All I want is my $129.99, that was unauthorized.Business Response

I took a laptop in to have the information on it taken off because you couldn**;t remember the passwords and I just needed it to be cleared and start over with it. I paid $129.99 for this service. I called the Springfield H3132**32333832303837H to get them to cancel it for the next year and they referred me to the corporate H3132**32333832303837H. They kept passing it to other people and kept the money anyway that was in 2022. I couldn**;t get it cancelled for 2022 and 2023.I would like those 2 years refunded to me of $129.99 each.Business Response

I applied for a business credit card with office depot (citi bank issuer) and was sent the wrong card. I purchased an item online with the company using the account before the card was mailed not realizing it was the wrong card until it arrived and called office depot. They only suggested I apply for another card, pulling my credit again. The item was received April, 2023. I have not received a paper bill for the item as of today. The type of card they issued requires the purchasers to pay the balance in full upon receipt of the bill. I would like to have the proper card issued without having to reapply or be allowed to return the item.Business Response

On 5/23/23, I ordered an Omron Evolv B/P monitor : ORDER NUMBER 315888923-001 (I paid $87.84 for this item); but I received a ****** Multi-purpose timer. This is the wrong product that was sent to me. I texted Office Depot customer service Live agent. At the end of the conversation, the agent texted "Great! I have successfully processed your refund. Ill go ahead now and place your new order with $20 off.". I paid $65.74 (5/30/23) with the $20 discount in the hope that getting a refund of my first payment of $87.84 made on 5/23/23.On the same day 5/30/23, I received a voice messages asking me respond to an email that Office Depot sent me. But I did not receive such an email. Hence, on the next day 5/31/23, I texted the Live agent, explaining the situation, the Agent ***** texted "You may also have the reference number 230531-010273 for follow-up. I will also be checking on the update personally to see how it goes and you can also message me via email instead. My email address is ***************************************** Also, I can also see here that the refund amount is $87.84 and it will be routed to your payment channel ending in *2077".On 6/1/23, I emailed to ***** to correct the amount refund should be $56.41 to my credit card and $31.43 to my office depot reward gift card. The total is $87.84.On 6/5/23, I received the second order of the Omron Evolv ****, which is the correct item that I ordered. I sent a picture of the wrong item with the envelope and the correct item with the envelope, it is clear that Office Depot ********** center made the mistake.I emailed to ***** on 6/7/23 to check on the status, because I have not seen any credits since 6/1/23 that he said refund is routed to my credit card.I have not heard from Live agent ***** nor Office Depot. I'm looking for help to get my refund. Please see picture attached, the fulfilment center should be able to trace from the tracking number what they actually shipped for the first order.Business Response

On June 10, 2023, I attempted to order Office Depot Greenmade plastic bins. I was initially provided a 25% coupon, which I added to the cart. A $0.01 two business day shipping offer displayed in the cart. Then I received a 30% coupon that I added to the cart. As soon as I removed the 25% coupon to be able to apply the 30% coupon, the shipping offer changed to $3.01, which wiped out the additional savings of the 30% coupon. I called the ********, ** store because the main customer service number is completely automated and there is no live person to speak with.. I spoke to the manager, *****. He told me to add the coupon again. This changed nothing. I asked to be put in touch with the district manager. ***** refused. He told me that the district manager wouldnt speak to me and the district manager has other things to do. Upon removal of the 30% coupon, there is a zero dollar charge for shipping.Horrible customer experience.Business Response

I purchased a filing cabinet from Office Depot May 16th. At the time of purchase, I spoke with an agent about price matching. The filing cabinet was previously on sale for $505 but was out of stock while on sale. By the time the item came back in stock, the sale had ended and the price was back to it's original price of $645. The agent assured me that I would receive a refund of $140 once the filing cabinet was delivered, as a price match. Once the filing cabinet was delivered, I received the first email confirmation attached of the refund amount on May 18th.At the same of purchase, I was told that the filing cabinet would be delivered and placed into my home. At time of delivery, the filing cabinet was left outside and the delivery company claimed they do not do in-home delivery. I also spoke with Office Depot about this mishap and was refunded $50 for the inconvenience. This $50 is an entirely separate issue than the original $140 price match.About a week later, I still have not received my $140 price match refund. I called Office Depot and was told they couldn't process it because $50 had already been processed. I explained to them that this was for a separate issue and they then re-issued the second email confirmation of the $140 price match refund on May 30th.Now, it is **** ********* still have not received my refund. I have called numerous times and explained the situation to many different agents - all of whom tell me nothing can be done. I then started to ask to speak to their managers and was told all managers were busy but would call me back ASAP. I still have not received a call back and it has been more than 48 hours.I'm not sure what else I can do on my end to get the refund I was promised two separate times.Business Response

I placed an order with Office Depot on 11/22/22 (275584957-001). It was for two glass chair mats and it qualified for a $20 **** gift card, which was listed as a separate order (275627303-001). It said the **** gift card estimated delivery date was 12/8/22. On 12/5/22, I received a shipping confirmation email that my $20 prepaid **** card had shipped. I thought great---it's arriving on time. I never got it. I emailed and called customer service and they said that I had never verified the award so it was forfeited. They show that an email was send on 11/26 to verify the award but I had no record of the email. So, I did not verify an award but I don't know how I was supposed to. I also don't know why they would send a "shipped" confirmation email on 12/5/22. The agent that responded to me on 12/27/22 said I needed to confirm it by 12/11/22. It makes no sense. I responded to the agent on 12/27/22 with my screenshot of the shipment confirmation for the $20 **** and they never responded. I asked to see the email that was sent asking me to verify the award. I realize it's $20 but it's the principle that I did not receive it. It feels extremely deceptive and dishonest and I could not get a response. I would be curious how many of these were actually distributed with this promotion as I am attentive to emails, was watching for it, and received a shipped confirmation which tells me it's on its way. I'd like my $20 gift card as the whole experience has been confusing, a waste of time and unprofessional. Thanks,******Business Response
