      I am extremely extremely upset with Office Depot to have such a rude, very rude manager ****** at *************************************************************************************. OMG!! He was showing off to a young employee there watching him insult and belittle me! Please look at the camera! This should have never happened. I went to purchase mobile file box which was for $19.99. I explained to the young man that the offer was for 35% and not 30% as it came ** in my phone! I explained as I was coming to the store, I had looked up my item and then a box popped up and said if you sign up with your email you get 35% off next item! So I did enter my email and then another pop up box asking for my phone number to get an 25% off! The young man cashier called his manager and right away this Adoran guy came up with an attitude and said ********* me the picture ! I said I dont have one of that but why would I lie? He became very nasty and abusive, yes abusive! He said theres nothing he can do and also the 30% showing on my phone would not be applied to this purchase!! I asked why? He said thats for online purchases only! He was dismissive and told the young man to put it back and I hadnt made my mind to take when he was ordering the young man to take back!I asked for the corporate phone number and he gave it to me very quick and snotty. I am tell he was so abusive to me the customer!! I told him youre not good manager! He replied youre not a good customer. I have been working in customer service for over 20 years and this is absolutely inexcusable for this Adoran so called manager to be working there!He went so far and said to meyou have to leave! I said why? What are you going to do? He snotty remark said, you can stand there all day if you want! I was flabbergasted!! There was no reason for him to ask me to leave and talk back to me like he did! I was walking out when he laughing and being condescending he said goodbye!I was humiliated and I didnt turned back.

      I ordered an Item on 27 Dec 2022, within 45 minutes I canceled the item, as I realized I ordered the wrong color. OfficeDepot/Max had already placed on hold on my funds. They recognized within minutes that I had canceled the order, but they did not release the hold on my funds at my bank. The next day I received an email asking me my opinion of their services, and I explained to them that until they release the hold on my funds I would not be happy. I received another email which said they do not charge the customer until the item ships. No they don't charge for the item, but they do place a hold on the funds which is the same as charging me for the item if I cannot access that money. I was then told it takes 3 days to remove a hold. So today is day 4, I got on-line with them via chat, the person told me it takes 2- 24 hours to remove a hold, ok then why is the bank still showing a hold on my funds? Of course they then blame it on the bank. Then I call the 1`-800 number and I am told it takes 7 business days to release the hold once they tell the financial institution to remove the hold. I have received 3 different answers for the same question, only one answer can be correct, but which one, and maybe none are correct. I called my bank, and was told they have not received anything telling them to release the hold. So who is telliing the truth? Likely my bank. I want the hold ******* on order #*********-001. They are so quick to put a hold on the money, and to recognize by email the order was canceled within 5 minutes of the cancellation, yet they cannot release the hold at the same time as the cancellation? They say the do not charge for the item ordered until it is shipped, but techinically if they are putting a hold on my money at the bank, they have charged my accoount. This is a terrible way to do business. They should not put any funds on hold, and they should only charge the customer when the item is shipped.

      I am rejecting this response because: It BS. They should not have placed a hold on my money, they should have charged me whent the item was shipped. The item was not shipped because I canceled the order. The money was placed back into my account this morning a week after they put a hold on it. I will never order on-line from Office Depot/Max again. This is at least the 2nd time I have had a problem from this company when I ordered on line. Its better just to go to the store and order the item, using cash, that if  you decide you don't want somethiing they cannot  hold your money for any length of time. In this day and age most people are lucky to be getting by, as a 100% disabled veteran, I am no different.

      I am rejecting this response because: I canceled the order within 30 minutes of ordering, yet they kept my funds on hold for one week. I do a lot of business on line, and no business I have  purchased from had ever held my funds for any reason. Almost all business will charge for the order when the item is shipped. Sometimes orders many be shipped immediately, and they charge my card, other times it may be a week before the item is shipped, and then my card is charged. For Officemax/depot to put a hold on my funds before the item is shipped is wrong, and what makes this more egregious is that the order was canceled, and they then took one week to release my funds. I will not do business with a company that screws the customer and then only offers an excuse for the hold. No sorry, no nothing, just a lame excuse, and a poor way of doing business. Ironically, I actually went to the local store the following day, and purchased for cash the item I wanted in a different color. I do not trust this company to do the right thing in the futuire, imagine someone screws you and doesn't even say sorry. I cannot wait to do my on line review, and to recommend that because of the way this company does business, do not order from them online. In this day and age with inflation as high as it is,  no company should be able to do what OfficeMax/Depot did to me, and most people can't afford for their funds to me stuck in limbo. The initial response from this company was to say they had verified the situtation, as if I had lied to someone. Shame on them.

      On 19 November, I purchased an HP Chromebook for $399 plus tax. The next day it dropped to $229 so I asked for a price variance refund. I was first told that the price variance could not be accomplished until the item shipped, THEN told once it shipped that it could not be accomplished until it was *delivered.*The item was supposedly shipped to the *********** hub--where I reside--and was then labeled as "misrouted" on 22 November. I initiated several, if not half a dozen, live chats and phone calls between 22 November and 28 November REPEATEDLY asking if my order was being delivered. Never once did any of the associates relay to me that the order would have to be canceled. Meanwhile, Office Depot's competitor--Staples--had the same $229 price point which I could not fairly pursue with the belief that I would eventually receive my purchased Chromebase. I was prevented from access to this opportunity from Black Friday through Cyber Monday due to Office Depot's anti-competition and anti-consumer actions. I have no doubt the hold up was purposeful. And it was not relayed to me that the order would have to be canceled until Staples had already stopped selling the Chromebase for $229 and was out of stock online at Office Depot. Despite REPEATED attempts to get contact information for U.S. based online sales associates, I was rebuffed.I STILL have not been credited for the original price variance, so I have only received just over half of my money back after receiving the $229 plus tax refund. It's not a pleasant thought to have a multi-national corporation steal from you after stiffing you.If people on the website are still reading this, I'm also active duty military, which I was also told Office Depot didn't have military support. Oh well. Obviously I want my money back, obviously I want an apology, obviously I want this anti-competitive and anti-consumer c*** called out. And I want a Chromebase for $229.       They falsely advertise items they dont have in stock. They dont disclose on their website that theyre shipping them from in *********************. Three weeks ago I ordered an item and I still havent received it. They gave me a deadline of 11 **** to receive the item. I still have not received it as of today 11 ****. Since Saturday 11/26/22, I have attempted to contact them four times and each time I am given the runaround. I am looking to get a refund.

      I purchased 2 sets of chairs from OD online. On the expected delivery date I had 3 packages left outside of my front door; 1 package contained 2 chairs (1 set), another package contained an different furniture item I had purchased elsewhere, and the third package did not belong to us but my husband brought that package to the carrier facility. None of the packages contained a second set of chairs! I have not received my second set of chairs! I reached out via their text feature and was told that someone I would be in touch. Someone reached out today to tell me its marked as delivered and to look around to see if its there. I have been getting non stop packages. I havent received this one. I dont know where Office Depot wants me to look. I paid for 2 SETS of chairs and only received one and they are refusing to assist with anything except that I need to look more thoroughly which isnt possible. At this juncture Im going to contact my financial institution and get them to refund the difference for the second set of chairs. Also. The chairs I did receive, one of them has bent legs and scratches (theyre acrylic with gold legs). Poor quality. Would send that one chair back but I imagine it would be a headache trying to get it replaced.

      On Friday 11/25/22 I purchased what I thought was a brand new chair in person. I went to Office Depot, Store # **, at **********************************************************************. The total of my order purchase for two items (including the chair) was $173.31. The chair was a Realspace Cressfield Bonded Leather High-Back Executive Chair, Black/Silver Item #******. All across the Office Depot website and in -store price, it was being advertised for $149.99 due to Black Friday. It was in stock in many other stores but I chose this one. Now I regret it. This store sold me a USED chair. It is obviously used. The packaging was completely taken apart and has mismatched bags. My guess is they disassembled the floor model and put it back in the box to sell it to a customer. There was no floor model of this chair and I only saw one box. Perhaps that is the reason they said they were unable to assemble it then and there for me and I would have to return the next day for them to assemble it. They probably knew. That is the deceptive and gross part. I carried the huge box to my car and up two flights of stairs. I then noticed it was taped together with flimsy tape. The inside had mismatched bags on parts. One blue and one clear for the left and right arms. The s**** package was ripped and reassembled with tape. There were loose pieces of carboard that once held something. And one of the screws is MISSING. The caster wheels are completely scuffed and dirty. It was used. Aside from the dishonesty, why are you selling used chairs as new? This box should have been marked as an OPEN BOX purchase and I should have been informed I was in fact buying a used piece of furniture. I thought it was new. It was sold to me as new. I am not happy at all about this. I literally can not believe they sold me a USED chair wrapped up like it was new. This has caused a huge inconvenience to me and a breach of trust. I'm uploading photos I took after opening it.

      I purchased 3 tables online from them. It first states arrival within 7 days, it took almost a month. It also states on the site can be returned in store, that is not true, the store sent me away. I returned two of the tables because they sent the wrong colors, or they looked nothing like the colors on the website - like they just sent whatever they wanted. I was told it would take 7 days to get the refund. After 7 days, they then said two days, after two days they said two days we promise this keeps going on, and now nobody will answer me at all. This is the absolute worst online experience i have ever had. They took the return and now ******************************* $640.16, and I have no confidence they will ever figure out how to apply the refund. I even reached out to an executive there, I was very kind and professional, he was a complete jerk. Nobody should ever order from Office Depot online EVER! Terrible company!

      Office Depot keeps playing these games and providing false information to compensate for their lack of care in the matter. This started the minute i placed the order, this company is a complete mess in the ecommerce space.

It then can take 3-5 days for credit to post. The billing team shows no disputes with the credit by customer and it's inevitable if not already the credit will post any day now depending on customer bank or card holder. Again, the billing team has confirmed this credit was released and should post to the customer any day now if not already.

      I placed an order for an office chair 08/25/2022, order #*********-001 for the total amount of $236.49. I used a gift card to pay for $106.94 and I used my Paypal cash for the balance of $129.55.Within a couple weeks, I noticed the price of this chair dropped $100 cheaper. I contacted Office Depot regarding their price protection policy and they told me they would refund me the difference of $107.50 with a check. This was done on 09/06/2022 with order #*********-001.After a week or two I called them to check the status of the refund. They told me they had issued me a gift card for $106.94 and a Paypal refund of .56 cents. I told them that made no sense. The cash I spent ($129.55) should be refunded first, before any amount should go towards a gift card (which I didn't get either). Rather than give you dates and times, as you should have all of this in my phone history, I will just state that I have made 4 phone calls to 1-800-GO-DEPOT over the past 3 months and each time I am promised that someone would be contacting me by the next day. Every single call I was apologized to, and was told to please not worry they would take care of this and mail me a check. Out of 4 calls, and 4 promises to call me back, not once have they. Every time I call, I ask them why nobody is calling me back, and I keep getting told that they are sorry, but this time for sure they will call me back. Never, not once, have they. That is absolute horrible customer service. Not to mention they have still never refunded my money. Even if they did mess up and put it on a gift card, where is that gift card??I would like the refund I was promised, issued by check for the $106.94. You should easily be able to look at my account and read all the notes from my phone calls, and hopefully find out why nobody is following up with their customers. I have spent so much time and frustration with this issue, its not even worth the money. Its the principle. I will never deal them again.
