I've visited Mountaineer Coffee since 4/6/25 (per documents from my bank cards) asking for 16 oz Americano coffees, usually two cups as my husband is in the hospital and I take him a cup. It's advertised a few cents more for the Iced Americano, I ask them to not put ice in the 16 oz cups. The total has ranged from $8.35, $8.82, $9.09, and yesterday charged $11.50 and they tried to hand me two twelve ounce cups. Each time I visited the coffee stand, staff would alternate 16 oz or 12 oz cups. I demanded my $11.50 be refunded, the young man told me he did so, and I drove off without the coffee. I'm still showing an $11.50 charge on my card. I drove past the stand last night after they were closed to see if they had actually increased the prices as the young man said (from $9.09 the day before) to $11.50 (I'd asked for two 16 oz cups without ice and they tried to give me two twelve oz cups) : the posted price for the 12 oz is $3.60, and the iced 16 oz is $3.80. I want a refund for all the transactions (I can prove) they overcharged and the complaint posted publicly. I'm sure i'm not the only victim. Except for the last visit, I always tipped them, too!

Hey, this customer had a confusing order and the barista did ring her up wrong. He was a new employee at the time and just made an error. The transaction was issued a refund the same day.

To be clear this customers order is slightly confusing and requests a whole 8oz cup of half and half which isn't on our menu. This can be confusing for baristas to run through the register because it is not an item in our register that we sell.

Our prices have recently gone up as well. Which is part of the reason her order was more. We have raised our prices $0.50 across the board.

That was the only transaction she was wrongly charged for.

Regardless the refund was issued almost immediately.

She has come back to our business two times since this incident and there does not seem to be any issue. She's come back on 4/17 and 4/18.
