Definitely a scam. I received a phone call saying that I was on a holding list to get rid of my timeshare and that my time had come up, which was why I received a phone call. I explain the reason that I wanted to get out of the timeshare due to a divorce, and I was initially told that I would have to remove my ex spouse name from the deed. I told them I had already spoken to the timeshare *** about the name change process. I was told that if I was the only one making the payment, they could do it within a few minutes and proceeded to ask for my credit card information. I told them that I was at work and if they could email me all the information that they needed in reference to the conversation and resale program, they disconnected the phone call. Not to add I only owe around $4000 but it was told that it could be sold for $19,000.Sunset Escape

***************** Buyer Beware is so true when dealing with Sunset Escape to sell your time share property. Sunset Escape is not A+ accredited with the BBB as they claimed during their initial contact with me. They provide little or no real information on prospective interest in your property and get very defensive about this when they are challenged Their strategy is to hook you with claims of a strong resale market, a high property value and a quick sale that includes the return of your marketing and advertising payment(s). Initially you get calls each week letting you know that there is considerable interest in your property. The calls taper off quickly to nothing as your contract time progresses and results in you having to call them to find out what is happening with your property. Eventually they even stop returning calls.Out of the blue you may get a call advising that a supervisor has expressed interest in your property and the entire process starts again with a second marketing and advertising fee along with promises of a quick sale. Unfortunately, in my case, this resulted in the same process and no sale.My conclusion is that Sunset Escape is a lying scam from start to finish in an industry that is full of scammers.Sunset Escape

Horrible scam. Don't buy from them. I lost $698. They don't issue refunds as promised. They send you to ATA and ATS travel services who give you the run around for weeks to months (or maybe forever) and they will not refund your money. They don't respond to your calls, put you on hold for as long as 2 solid hours and never come to the phone or hang up on you When you are able to speak to someone they lie repeatedly and give you the run around. I have been trying to get my refund for 6+ weeks after being originally told it would be 3-5 days. I am sorry I fell for this. They should be put out of business. You can't reserve rooms when you call or they can't give a definite date. They charge extra fees. "Customer ************* puts you on hold and never answers. They simply ignore you or act like they are offended by you calling. I don't know how they sleep at nights after defrauding hundreds of people.Sunset Escape

Sunset Escape is a lying scam. They justify stealing your money by saying, as is in the contract, that the money is for advertising. Then they contact you with a rushed phone call every 2 or three weeks until the 3 months (the time within which you can close off the purchase with your credit card company) has elapsed. Then a new person called me, not Gina R**** this time but someone allegedly higher up in the company saying they were ready to close the deal and sell my timeshare for more than I even paid for it. They just needed another $2700.00. All nothing but BS. The original sales rep, thief, was so so insulted when I accused her of being a liar and a thief. Stay away and report them to the Better Business Bureau.Sunset Escape

They're worthless. I sent them, reluctantly, 1500 9 months ago to sell our Marriott Timeshare. They barely call and when they do it's useless info. They called again to ask for about 3500 more to sell to a "corporate" client (they used a lady with a British accent as I guess we're dumb enough to think that helps) and we refused as they were making zero progress on the original deal. I have called multiple times to get updates because they will go weeks and months without calling about the supposed "progress" of selling the timeshare. I have a vast network of attorneys at my disposal and am so disgusted that I will reach out to them. We're not litigious people as the courts get abused. But we're getting abused by Sunset Escapes. I have scanned the various BBB complaints and Sunset's responses are WEAK at best. I guess I can't leave a zero star review so they get the minimum on 1.Sunset Escape

We do apologize that you are unhappy with your services. We have reached out to you immediately every time you have phoned into customer support. We spoke with you yesterday and after reviewing the call you finished the call happy with us and understanding that we are still marketing and advertising outside of your 90 day agreement. We would love to speak with you again to resolve any feelings you may have, that you did not express yesterday, or the prior Monday when we spoke with you.Review fromRick W

1 starI wish I had actually thought through my decision before deciding to fork over $2,990. I received a call from this fast talking sales guy telling me that he could move my Sheraton Vistana Timeshare for me. He made all these promises that he could move it quick because they really needed listings and that Timeshares are in hot demand. They assured me that he could get much more out of it than what I owed and it would be a super quick process. He stayed in weekly contact with me for the first month, maybe two. Then, I was lucky to hear from him at all. When he made his weekly calls, he told me he was presenting the property to all kinds of execs at some big weekend sales event and that it shouldn't be long before it's moved. It was the same story every single week. Well, here I am, a year later. The property has not been sold and I haven't heard from them since probably August of 2023. I've emailed and left voicemails with no return messages. Complete sham.Review fromBarbara T

On February 7, 2024, I was contact by ***************************, a representative of Sunset Escape about helping me sell my timeshare. He stated to me basically he was the best and could sell my timeshare usually ***** days but he would contact me every Monday with updates. I believe I recieved one maybe 2 updates the first couple weeks which was we have a lot of interest that **** had been working hard and was at some conference marketing it that weekend. I would have to pay upfront $3596.00 for advertising for the ******************************************************************************************** the first 90 days but again said he had the highest success rate abd was the best. I then called back I believe the next day with my concerns about it being legit and a manger/owner I believe called me, (I don't remember his name) to reassure me and said he would personally take over my case but lowered my selling price for quicker sale because he said my bonus points could not be used for selling purposes. Anyway. I have left multiple messages and a couple emails to get an update and noone will respond. Beware of this so called legit company. I would like a full refund since the contract I signed Said money back guaranteed. I need answers.Sunset Escape
