  MTS Construction finished our roof but did not get all the permit checks done by the city. So now we have a completed tile roof without the necessary permits. The city says in order to get the roof permit we need to remove the tiles to get it inspected. So we have a completed roof that we have to uncomplete to get it thru inspections to get a completed permit. Does that make sense? Any suggestions on how to handle this situation.

  Zero Stars if I could! They took our money for a down payment on the shingles and then told us repeatedly the shingles were on back order! When we checked with several distributors in the area they had the shingles but would sell to MTS on a cash only basis!

  We did an aluminum roof upgrade on our home and it has weathered well. No complaints, the process went well once we signed and had a group here 2 weeks after as promised. Aluminum is the way to go if you live in SWFL and while we paid extra out of pocket because the insurance company only paid to replace the shingles, we are happy and healthy. No complaints, job well done and communication was professional and efficient.

  I am one of many who were damaged by ***. The whole planet knows this story, so I need not go over it again.Our home was directly in the eye of the storm, and many of my neighbors with older homes at low elevations suffered much more than my family from the flood of the storm. But the wind didn't care about elevation so the damage to my property was extensive.For this review, you would need to know that I lost my roof. It was heart wrenching to try to get the insurance company to get to the point to approve a new roof. Finally, 4 months later I got the go ahead. During the 4 months period, I was getting quotes and looking at the roofers histories.Then, after insurance approval, I was able to finalize my roof company reviews and make a selection.MTS was my choice. I chose MTS because in 2022 they had 5 star ratings with nothing but stellar reviews. Their price was in line with others and the salesman was as honest about the roof replacement timing. Because of my "TILE" selection (cement tile) he explained that ***** were far out. It was my choice, longer timing, that made it tougher to endure. The roof was finished last week. One year and one month from the storm. As I hounded them for updated timing, the result was they were waiting for the product I selected. Admit at times I and my wife were not believing them, but when the tiles arrived, the production date on the tiles were 9/9/23. Always easy to wrongly point fingers. Not this time, they were straight with us.MTS, did get here during the month and complete the Job. It was my decision not to tear off the old roof until the new shingle product was shipped. The rough in was completed and the sky open up for weeks with torrential rains, not one leak. My neighbor across the canal, has had his roofers back every day for a month, ripping off and replacing sections of the roof, metal roof by they way! As I mentioned the roof is now complete. Can not ask more of a vendor. Good job MTS. Thank you.The ********

  I would give a zero rating if available.....Stay away from this company!!They lie, take your money, and do not deliver on service.I signed my contract in July. We were told 6 weeks for completion. They removed roof and dried in immediately. We went up into our attic after dry in. We have holes in our sheathing and this company just put peel and stick over the top. Never replacing the compromised boards. I have left messages with owners and salesmen, no one calls back. I have metal roofing sitting in my yard since July. This company just wants your money and doesn't care that the customer is without a roof. They are CROOKS.....DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

  I would give a zero if available. MTS and and its employees are crooks. They lie, take your money and leave you with peel and stick on your roof for months beyond its lifetime. They came to our island, took 1/3 of our money at contract sign, tore our roofs off so FEMA could take all material off at no cost to MTS. Put peel and stick on our roof in January so we would then pay the next third. It is now September 21-almost a year to the day that *** hit, and we are still with no roof. Peel and stick is cracked and peeling. MTS has been on 2 cruises with our money. Rusting roof material is in our yards and we still dont have a roof. We have redone our entire interior that was taken down to studs, and now we are holding our breath that our roof wont leak and ruin it all. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! They have taken our money and left us without a roof through another hurricane season. We are sick!

  Chose this company in February due to promise of worst case scenario 8 weeks for tear off and dry in. 4 months later there was still no progress or communication. We had multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach the company. Finally heard back and blame was placed on the salesman. But who was in charge of the salesman? The company had no problem cashing a deposit check for our aluminum roof and not following up on the project. Very poor management. Apparently no metal was even ordered? This has still not been made clear. New GM promised to make things right. We finally had a tear off and dry in in early June. They left a huge mess and we had to pick up about 100 nails and packaging wrappers. They left a stack of the old metal blocking the driveway, which is still currently there over 2 months later. There is still paper wrapped around some of our trees. They placed the dry in material over our hood vent so we can no longer use it. They still have not given us an update on whether the metal was ordered or not. Manager is now ignoring calls and messages. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. this has been a complete nightmare.

  My overall experience with MTS was fantastic. From the beginning to the completion of the project, there staff were keeping me in the loop and work was done when scheduled. There tear off crew was amazing and being at home to watch the process, they put in the effort. The shingle crew did an excellent job and we were very happy with the color that the sales team recommended for our home. Their crews went thru my lawn multiple times to make sure all the nails were picked up and I couldnt be happier. I would recommend them to any of my friends who need work done

  If you are looking to get a new metal roof, stay far away from this company! We signed in January, we were told it would be done by June. Here it is September 1st and we still do not have a completed roof. Its 75% done...so far they have "run out of material" twice, TWICE. All this company does is lie - lie - lie, never return phone calls, and tells you what they think you want to hear to make you leave their office. This has truly been a nightmare working with this company. We had a dumpster in our driveway for 2 months for when the workers would randomly show up to work for a day or so then leave. The yard was a total mess every time they did show up with soda cans, Pedialyte drinks, broken hammers, nails, scraps of metal (large and small) and food wrappers! My husband even cut his foot open on a scrap piece of metal that was left in the yard. During ******* we had pieces slide off our roof and when I talked to ***** he said that was "perfectly normal". I didn't know it was "perfectly normal" for the roof to slide off when installed! There is zero communication from this company even though ****** is their "communications coordinator" - he won't even talk to me anymore. ****** was a fantastic salesman, I wish the rest of the company was like him and not all liars! We just want a completed roof, not too much to ask.
