    I received a call from ***** yesterday from Solar Bear regarding my complaint filed with BBB. Today I received a check in the mail for the money that was due me. I've been trying to get my money for months. Thanks to BBB I got my money in two days!
    one call I made to Solar Bear provided a new message saying that staff were busy and no one was available to take my call right now.They have my money and have not provided me the agreed upon service or a refund. I am glad, at least, that I did not fork over the total amount! It could have been worse.

    Starting in 2024 I noticed our solar panels weren't producing as they should (they were installed in February of 2022) so I started contacting the company SOLAR BEAR, LLC, at first they told me they ere working as normal but l knew based on the EMPASE app there was two that weren't so I continued to contact them finally in February of ************************************************************************************ fact tow panels no working right, they took numerous pictures and readings was to turn them in for warranty went weeks we called they told us it would take 6-8 weeks( it has now been over three months) called again they told us they needed pictures again so they sent someone out. Still after another few weeks we hear nothing, call again they told us the panel (******) company changed their policy and need to have more pictures someone would call us to schedule that. Again no phone call and it's been over a week again. We have contacted SOLAR BEAR over 25 times to get this matter taken care of and w=all we get is a run around. I've had enough of the run around and just want our panels replaced and the two new ones they've promised to add to the system. I have even talked to an attorney. PLEASE HELP US WITH THIS MATTER. Either fix the issues or remove the panels , FIX my roof to it's original state and CANCEL my loan

    We signed up with Solar Bear in 2021. Since we signed up, we were never given tax information for the tax rebate, we were told that our energy costs would go down to $5.00, and every time we try to call them, we can never get ahold of anyone. We were sold a loan for this equipment and now our payments are going up and our electricity payments are going up. Everything they told us was a lie and now we are stuck paying for something thats not even benefiting us.

    We do not have tax info to provide. You need to go to your CPA and they need to fill out IRS form 5695. Solar Bear is not a tax specialist. As far as production. Your System has produced almost ***** kWh in the last 12 months. Your Contract states that is what it will produce.

    Despite the owner's response, Nobody from Solar Bear has come out and nobody from Solar Bear has contacted me. I spoke to the electrician that works for Solar Bear and he confirmed that the panel was bad back in May when he did the hook up and the connection sparked. At the time, nobody from Solar Bear advised me of this and just continued to install and hook up the system causing a fire hazard and knocking out my electric, which has been out since September 2024. Solar Bear will not do anything unless I pay them $5,000.00 to correct an issue that they caused by hooking up the panels to a box that couldn't support it. They are the experts and should have known better and advised me that the box needed to be replaced or upgraded before they continued.

    The customer's complaint is that we messed up their electrical panel. You can see in the close out form from 5/22/24 that while we were installing, that the electrician noticed an issue with the electrical panel ( it's very old), and he brought it to the home owners attention. Her main bus bar is worn out, which is causing arcing to happen, which is causing the appliances to cut off periodically. We did not cause her panel to be old and needing to be replaced.

    The box is old so why did they hook up the panels to it? It makes no sense and I, the homeowner was not told about the fire hazard. Its actually shocking that they would go ahead and hook up solar panels to a sparking, arcing fire hazard. They made their money then they disappeared.

    I had solar installed on my house. The installer asked for a referral so I gave him my next door neighbor information. Solar Bear informed me that if he used them, I would receive a commission ******** date all that I have received from Solar Bear is lip service, excuses, but money. This has been going on for about a year now with no positive outcome. Promises made but not honored. I do not and will not be lied to.I have stopped talking up this contractor and referring all my friends/neighbors.I hope you can help here, thank you.******* *****

    Who is the customer that was referred? Just because a name and number is provided doesn't mean they purchased. We pay referral fee when a referral that is given actually buys.

    We hired Solar Bear in June 2024 for their all-in-one promise covering insulation, solar, electrical, and roofing. After spending over $150,000, were left with an incomplete project, unresolved damages, and a deeply frustrating experience.Though the roof, insulation, and electrical were done by March 21, 2025, I immediately found issues:Bathroom vents and guest light hanging Pendant light pushed through the ceiling Nails/screws through our tongue-and-groove ceiling I contacted *****, who quickly forwarded the info. From March 21 to April 3, we had no AC in 90F+ heat. As a disabled veteran home all day, it was unbearable. I paid for AC repair out-of-pocketno reimbursement offered.On April 3, ***** said a handyman would come by April 12. He completed only 2 of 7 issues. A second crew came April 24, only cut back nails, and refused s**** repairs. ***** promised follow-up. Never happened.On May 13, the bathroom vent fell from the ceiling. ******, the foam manager, accused me of lying despite photos, texts, and emails. He then hung ***** of today:Solar still not connected (payments started 2 months ago)Repairs incomplete or ignored Insulation unfinished with no response to my May 5 request for square footage proof ************ claims to be your all-in-one solutionbut once they get your money, their follow-through collapses. Weve been met with indifference, delays, broken promises, and blatant disrespect. What should have been a premium experience has been incredibly stressful, both emotionally and financially.This project has been defined by broken promises, poor follow-through, and disrespect. Avoid Solar Bear and all associated **** services. Were now seeking outside resolution.I am attaching only 2 photos of the damages that have yet to be repaired due to storage issues. I have everything documented from day 1 with many more photos, emails, and phone logs.

    When Solar Bear came to install our panels, we were told that we were only going to have to pay the maintenance fee with the energy company. The system was sold as a way to "stop the meter", "save money", and "increase value." None of these enticements ended up happening. Since getting the solar I have removed electricity consuming items to try to lower the bill but it has never gotten to where they said it would be. Now I pay more than I would without solar and my solar loan is more than my electric bill. I have talked to several people in the solar industry and based on my experience, I believe that Solar Bear uses extremely deceptive sales tactics to entice unsuspecting customers into purchasing a system that will not fully deliver on what they promise. We had to switch the energy account to have my wife's name as the account owner recently and they did not add the solar for this month so I have provided an example of what our bill looks like without any solar usage. It brought our bill up $65 to a total of $212 which not only shows that the system is not providing enough for our home as promised, but that we are actually paying more for the solar than we would pay for the energy without solar. Our monthly payment for the solar is $241.43. I would like for Solar Bear to remove the panels and cancel the loan due to the fact that they over sold their product and under-delivered.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
    It is inaccurate, and there was a loan pending that I didn't sign.  I had notified the finance company that I choose not to move forward, and they responded yesterday acknowledging and thanking me for letting them know, yet I received another reminder to complete the docusign today.  Also, the salesperson sent me videos and messages and attempted to call me, still trying to convince me to move forward.  He also stated that they "took down" my BBB complaint.   In the end, if they stop contacting me, I'm satisfied.  There response appears to indicate that the contract has been voided.

    ******* *****s done during the sales pitch (of about 3 hours) prior to signing the contract. I have advised my sales person that I do not intend to go forward and why and he is still attempting to convince me to move forward. I feel I have been mislead and I just want my contract cancelled and to be left alone. This sales person claims to have sold over 1000 systems. He should well know how the tax incentives translate to a refund by now. Without the described chunk of money coming in to pay down the loan, I feel like the only ones winning in this scenario are the solar company and to even a larger extent, the bank the use.

    Attached is a screenshot from our service call conducted on April 11, 2025, during which our technician was onsite with the homeowner present.

    During the visit, we determined that the system's production issues are being caused by shading. As discussed, it is the homeowners responsibility to maintain the property, including trimming any trees that may obstruct sunlight to the solar panels.

    As a good faith gesture, we have agreed to add additional panels at no cost to the homeowner. We have explained that, moving forward, it is essential for the homeowner to keep the surrounding trees properly maintained to ensure the system performs as intended.
