I had to pay up front for liability insurance for my apartment complex. Then 4 months later the insurance I paid for canceled because I didn't meet their criteria. Then it took 2 months to get a refund. But it was 1400 short of what I should have received. Brevard insurance would not help me. It was like "oh well"

We never made the comment of "oh well" according to our calculation the return premium is accurate based on the insurance Contract and Finance Agreement. We verified the calculation with our finance company and this is the breakdown from the finance company: Principal balance financed: $3942.67, plus earned finance charge $330.54, plus doc stamp fee $14.00 = Total finance $4,287.21 you have paid $2146.04 which left a balance of negative $2141.17 which left a return premium of $2542.20, once that was paid back to the finance company left a balance of $401.03 and a late fee of negative $26.83 which gives you a refund back of $374.20 in which you have already received. We will be sending you $267.60 refund that we owe you due to our commission being sent back to you. We are still trying to get you an additional amount back of $400 but this cannot be guaranteed because of the contract of your policy. As far as how long it takes to get a refund it can take up to 45 days for the company to process it. These fees are based on one policy fee and one inspection fee which are fully earned, we are asking them to return it because of their mistake of binding it on something that was ineligible. It's not required but we are asking them to make an exception. Unfortunately, you're not calculating it correctly. The above does not indicate "oh well". it indicates that we are working hard to serve you.

They are the worse insurance agent/provider we have ever worked with. Our experience with them has sucked from day one and never got better. The only thing they have been good at is passing the buck and not taking any accountability for our account needs. They are unprofessional and rude and refuse to help us cancel our policy twice when the provider said it can be done, and should be done specifically through them, they would not let us out of it for their own reasons and they are never available when we call. Perpetually on vacation. We had to call the provider and get them on the phone with us to tell them to do their job. Which they hung up on the insurance provider and us because they were caught in a LIE!

******,I apologize that you feel we were unable to provide you with the best possible service we could. Please understand that you asked us to cancel your flood policy midterm and unfortunately, NFIP does not allow midterm cancellations when requested by the insured due to you no longer wanting it. When the provider stated you can cancel your policy, they advised it was for the renewal which is what we have proof of. I am sorry if you felt Brevard Insurance hung up on you, I am sure that was not the attention. We try to help to the bet of our abilities, so please understand that we were not denying your cancellation request we just tried to help you understand it is out of our control when the company only allows cancellations at renewal for insureds request. Our records do show that the company has processed that renewal cancellation, you do have flood right now until your renewal. If you need any further clarification, we would be happy to help!
