      Starting in the fall of 2024, MasTec began installing ****** fiber in our neighborhood. Throughout the process, they damaged several properties in our neighborhood, including ours. The subcontractors parked multiple pieces of heavy machinery out of the public easement and DIRECTLY on our property. Initially, the damage wasn't too extensive. I met with a few individuals that all assured me that it would be fixed. Fast-forward to spring (2025), and nothing has been done. I attempt MULTIPLE times at communicating with the main, corporate line (no response) and eventually get in contact with another individual that works locally. During that process, I also find that the company damaged several of our sprinkler heads and some of the pipe feeding the system (it was smashed). I was told that I could repair it, and submit an invoice. The biggest issue is that after almost a year of heavy rains, etc., the grading on our property has been severely compromised, and water pools. I contacted a company that works with landscape repair, and obtained an estimate. I sent that to the individual that was supposed to be handling my concerns, and he informed me that he would forward it to the claims ***** That was a couple of weeks ago, and I've had no further clarification or information from the claims department. We can't enjoy our propery because the rutted-out portions hold water and breed mosquitos. I've attempted to fill in the areas, but they keep washing out with heavy rain, as water flows to those lower spots. I can't believe the company has neglected this issue for so long. Now, due to negligence, BOTH sides of the fence have been compromised.

Despite documented evidence and repeated outreach, MasTec has failed to accept responsibility or offer any resolution.Details of the Complaint:On or around May 2829, 2024, following a tornado that hit the ******, ** area, trucks branded with MasTec began utility-related work in front of and on my property:**************************************** During their operations, significant damage was caused, including:A crushed culvert A torn-up driveway Destroyed lawn areas on both the left and right sides of the driveway Large holes and leftover debris from utility poles I have photos and videos showing MasTec-branded vehicles working on the property during the time the damage occurred.       I HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR MONTHS AND MASTEC IS IGNORING ME AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT THEY DO DAMAGE TO THEN DONT RESPOND AND HIDE!       Following the initial claim, our subcontractor, **********************, conducted a thorough investigation into the matter. After reviewing the video footage and other related documentation, ***** Underground determined that damage to Mr. ********** sprinkler system occurred during work performed in the area.
      As a result of this review, ***** Underground accepted responsibility and issued reimbursement in the amount of $1,350.00 to cover the full expenses incurred by Mr. ********* for the sprinkler repair.
      The reimbursement check, made payable to Mr. **** *********, was hand-delivered by ****** *******, a Mastec employee, to ensure safe and timely delivery. Additionally, Mr. ********* signed a release form acknowledging receipt of the check and confirming resolution of the issue to his satisfaction.

      **** was paid by the homeowner to install fiber-optic internet service to a residential home. **** subcontracted the job to MasTec, **** On 28 January 2025, an installer provided fiber-optic internet service to the residence and damaged the exterior wall of the home by drilling two holes that were ultimately not used for the installation. These holes remain in the side of the home and need repair to prevent weather and pest-related damage to the structure. On 11 February 2025, MasTec returned to finish the installation process. The homeowner showed the installer the two drilled holes in the exterior wall. The installer confirmed that those holes were drilled unnecessarily by the previous installer. The homeowner requested that the installer provide a phone text detailing the fact that the contracted installer placed the holes in the wall of the residence. The homeowner submitted a claim with **** for damages to the property, which included the two holes drilled in the exterior wall. Insurance representative, ****** ***** (ESIS), denied the claim before reviewing the claimant's credible evidence, which is the admission of a fiber-optic internet installer drilled two holes drilled in the exterior wall that were unnecessary for fiber-optic installation. These two holes required repair to prevent weather and pest-related damage to the home. Insurance representative ****** ***** (ESIS) 's denial is based on the defendant's assertion that the damage was preexisting without providing sufficient evidence. The claimant provided credible evidence to the insurance representative, ESIS, to appeal their rash decision. Insurance representative ****** ***** (****) decided to maintain the denial decision of the claim without providing any counter-argument to the admission of an installer that damages were caused by the defendant and not a pre-existing condition. The estimate for repair of the damage to the exterior wall is $134.98.

      To whom it may concern:A crew from mastec was working in front of my house where my water meter is located they put dirt on top of it messing with the eye of the meter. Its not sending any reading to the water company now it has to be fix. Now I might be getting charged for the repairs, will need to discuss any further changes. Thank you in advance.       My name is ******* ****** and I am the homeowner of *********************************************. In the summer of 2024, *********************** brought fiber optic to my neighborhood. MasTec was responsible for the oversight of a subcontractor for the directional bore to place the lines.Unfortunately during this process, my sewer line was bored through causing extensive damage. I purchased the home in September of ******************************************************************************************** November 2024. Due to this repair, I also have extensive damage to my landscaping and irrigation. I was initially in contact with ********, but they sent a MasTec employee to my property, who took full responsibility of the damages. He stated the damages were done by a subcontractor and it had occurred on multiple other properties. Said employee is **** *****, a local construction supervisor for MasTec. He took my information and supposedly submitted it to MasTecs claims department. I have called him multiple times attempting to receive updates, only to be told there is no update and the claims department moves slowly. I have requested the contact for a supervisor or for the claims department directly, and have never received a response.I also submitted two separate requests for information on the company website and their toll free number voicemail, and have not received a response. Attached below is the invoice from the repair company and photos of the repair itself, as well as estimates for repairs to my landscaping and irrigation system.This invoice is still outstanding and needs to be paid as soon as possible. MasTec is directly responsible for this and I have not received any update from the claims department despite it being four months since submission of the claim.

      This company came out and dug up our entire street leaving multiple giant holes driving through yards and not fixing anything.This company has cut our Internet lines twice and just left for the day not fixing anything. They have cut our power to our entire street and cross street 40 houses which was not fixed for over 12 hours.This company has caused so many issues on our entire street making it look like complete s*** Every worker is incredibly rude. Ive tried to contact the company multiple times to get my problems resolved, and was never helped. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

      Mastec was a subcontractor for Brightspeed underground installation for our neighborhood. We didnt request or want any services. While installing underground lines in our neighborhood, they had equipment get stuck under our driveway. They had to rip up a section of my driveway (all caught on camera) to get their equipment unstuck and removed. The concrete driveway still has a hole in it filled in with asphalt. We never heard back, have filed complaints with no accountability or fixing it. We have sent quotes, contacted people, and havent heard back. No one is taking accountability for this issue.

      BBB, please help. Several months ago, unauthorized and unpermitted digging of MasTec and their telecom contractor damaged our $10K project, we submitted several proposals upto $26K, want at least half paid up front for the increased cost of materials and labor to replace/repair as originally intended before signing their too broad of a release, as we don't know what companies or insurance claims we may need in the future, when we have a claim # for their damages to our property, can't know unforeseen and invisbile damages until work is started and completed with 60 days after to verify all is corrected, then will release only the 1 company who damaged not the other 3 companies, firms, insurance and no one, company, firms in the future can come near to trespass, vandalize, observe, or harm our properties, any heirs, or visitors without our signed consent and a designated box installed for utility lines installs and written project plan w/5x5x5x measurements

ESIS denied 1) my counter offer on 10/22, 2) my request to pay for repairs before I release liabilities, 3) to update wording to protect my interest of proper completion, 4) please allow 60 days to verify damages fixed. 5) all involved agree to stop trespassing and stay off my property without my written consent. 6) please don't underestimate the correction costs of my damages.

      Attached are 12 pages, 8 quotes attached, average cost to repair in my zip code is over 3 times their offer to release major ****** company, firms, corporations, ETC., those I may need services with in the unknown future. They went outside of easement boundaries, did not notify me, did not have a permit, and want me to sign their TOO BROAD  release before repairs are completed??? when THEY trespassed, vandalized, and DAMAGED MY PROPERTY. Please pay average priority mail same day, so I can hire contractor and have work accessed before requesting a release. I want my yard and myself completely made whole fixed before the holidays. All involved must sign agree to STAY OFF MY PROPERT(IES) without written plans that I consent to.

      I am filing a formal complaint against Mastec Inc. due to significant, unresolved property damage incurred during a project to convert overhead power lines to underground in the **************** neighborhood in *****. This work was carried out on my property beginning of December 2023 and continued into 2024. The damage has left my home vulnerable to water intrusion, leading to ongoing flooding and considerable additional damage.The issues started when Mastecs team damaged my exterior wall where the original power line was and created a hole for the underground pipe. They failed to repair the large hole they dug which is tunneling under the house. This hole allows rainwater to flood my home during heavy storms, causing escalating damage and incurring repair costs. I have been left with severe property damage to the bathroom which is on the other side of that wall mentioned and have received no meaningful resolution. From the flooding, my bathroom is out of service as the walls were flooded, floors ruined. With the length of time passed and water soaked walls I am terrified of mold growth and the health problems that follow. In February 2024, I contacted Mastecs representative, ******** Quinoelsalvador, who acknowledged the damages and assured me that the project was not yet complete, and repairs would be handled. However, after numerous follow-ups and escalations to another representative, ****** *******, and then to Mastecs insurance team, I still have no resolution. Mastec requested repair quotes which was sent with pictures and videos of the destruction but has since ceased communication, and Ms. ****** ***** from **** a ************* their insurance adjuster now does not respond to my calls.This lack of accountability has left my property vulnerable, and the damages continue to worsen with each rainfall. I have been very patient and did everything they asked me to do. I will like compensation for my damages.
