National Public Data has used my private information to sell to make money, but has failed to secure the data and now my details are compromised in a massive data leak. This puts all my financial and other accounts in danger of being hacked and identity theft to occur. COMPANY publically circulates (without consent) my private and personal information, including my Social Security Number. I pinged the company to remove ALL of my information regarding the **** compliance. I received a "default" email from ********************************** stating: "Hello, Thank you for contacting us. We have received your communication. We have removed the entire database from our system. We may be required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations; we will retain your request and our response for our records. Please note that while we are unable to edit or remove third-party data about you, including in public records, we will not sell your personal information through our services."-- This response makes no sense. How can you "remove the entire database" from our system when we're talking about my specific information? And there's no proof that they did what they said they would. This company has my social security number and is publicly circulating it! This company is actively compromising my personal information for profit.Initial Complaint

On 08/28/2024, I was made aware by my credit monitoring company that there was a data breach with NationalPublicData.com and my SSN along with additional personal information was now available on the dark web due to said data breach. Attempts to contact this company was made to no avail. Their "listed address" is a *** box, and no-one is answering the phone regardles of the time of the day. Email was sent to this company and no reply. 1. *** never authorized this company to store/use any of my personal information.2. I was never informed of a data breach from them, and they never notified me of such data breach.3. I am hereby asking that them to remove/delete IMMEDIATELY any, and all data regarding my personal information, and I am asking for written confirmation of the deletion.Initial Complaint

Today, 1 August 2024, I was notified by the credit monitoring firm, MyIDCare, that a scan they performed on 28 July 2024 revealed that National Public Data (NATIONALPUBLICDATA.COM) had my social security number and date of birth. I'm sure you are aware 2.9 billion people had data leaked from this company. They might have a class action lawsuit around this but I want my information removed from this company. I was just notified by ********** who provides security screening for Office of Personnel employees that my full social security number and previous addresses are showing available for sale on their website. I reviewed the information provided by ********** website and the information also provided email addresses that were not mine, however some of my previous telephone numbers were involved as well. I am a retired federal employee and my information has been hacked 3 times since 2022 through the data breaches/hacks with **** which is the company I have my telephone with.
