      I began my college journey in 2004 at Daytona State College (DSC), where I successfully completed my first semester. However, just before my second semester, DSC delayed my financial aid, forcing me to drop all classes before I even had a chance to attend. Due to an administrative error on their part, my dropped classes were incorrectly marked as failures, drastically lowering my GPA. As a result, I was unable to continue at DSC and had to transfer to ***********************, which has different accreditation and financial aid requirements. This decision ultimately led to $62,000 in student loan debt and contributed to a period of homelessness for my children and me. Despite my efforts, I couldn't graduate from either college, largely due to persistent financial setbacks.Years later, I decided to return to DSC, hopeful to finally earn my degree. Unfortunately, history repeated itself. DSC mismanaged my student loans yet again. After issuing my refund, they unexpectedly reduced my loan eligibility amount, leaving me with a balance I cannot afford to pay and a hold on my account, effectively possibly halting my ************, despite having already earned 75 credits, Im required to complete an additional 10 classes to graduate. If I manage to graduate, it will be with approximately 110 creditsfar above the typical requirement for an Associates Degree. My experience has left me feeling as though DSC is actively hindering my ability to succeed and earn my degree.
