I had scheduled a move from ****** to *******. After paying a deposit of $650. All commutation went dead. Until 24 hours of the move then I was told there would be an additional charge of $500 . I called ,I texted and I emailed. Nothing returned. You have to cancel within 72 hours or you lose refund,but you can't contact them. And you won't here of the upcharge until It's to late.Initial Complaint

The moving company express moving and storage picked up our belongings on 10/29 in *********** to move them to *******. They informed us we were on a deadhead route back to the east coast for them and they would be providing us with a discount. We were not informed that they sold our contract to ***************, and now our things have not been delivered and we are in a house with none of our belongings and no one will return our calls or emails. I have sent multiple emails to get an update on our belongings with no response.Initial Complaint

We paid our deposit on 09/19/24 for $661 with our pick up scheduled for 10/29/2024 from ***********. upon pick up we paid another $1200 with a final payment of $1200 due upon delivery to Newnan Ga which was supposed to be a week after pick up. It has been 23 days and we have received no updates, can not get response from email and they will not take our calls. My wife is pregnant and due in two weeks and all of our belongings are being held hostage in a storage facility in **********************. We only know that because we placed a tracker in one of our boxes. We have no update on when or if we will receive our belongings and we cant afford to replace everything. I called on 9/11/2024 and set up moving services for tentative 10/28. Was quoted a price and paid a deposit. On 10/09 I called to reschedule date. No problem. Was told Id be called 3-5 days before move. Today was 3 days prior so I called, texted, emailed to no avail. The contact numbers I had failed immediately or went to a youve won a free gift card . No business response. Checked address for business- it was an appliance repair shop. I contacted my bank to place a dispute and also contacted the ************** to report a fraud/ scam. I left messages( if this is even a real phone number) that I would not be using their services and not to show up. The ************** says the *** number is for a company in ** and not *******. As of today, 11/15 the delivery of our items has still not been scheduled. It is now 4 days past the guaranteed date of 11/11 that I was given for delivery by **** when booking this move with Express. My husband and I made plans around this timeline and have been left scrambling and spending additional money to be able to live in our home while no items have arrived. I have contacted the third party company *************** that they hired instead to do our move, they have said dispatch has not lined up the move and can only guarantee delivery by December 8. This will result in a large cancellation and cost to family that had planned to come for thanksgiving and continue to be a daily spend for us as we live without our goods.Initial Complaint

-Binding estimate and credit card authorization signed/ processed 10/22/23 -$830.30 deposit paid on 10/22/23 -refund request and agreement signed 10/23/23 -$747.27 to be refunded per agreement within 90 business days. -agreement for refund to be processed within 90 business days puts the final date at approx. between 9/30/24 and beginning of October 2024. -I reached out for update on 09/29/2024 since no refund had been receivedno response. -Company email no longer valid as of 10/22/2024 -Companies new email that is on their site is not valid as of 10/22/2024 -2 employees who I dealt with for the move and such, email not valid anymore. This scam like behavior has started from the beginning and $747 gone in the wind after a contracted refund agreement was signed by both parties.-All numbers provided for customer service department ************* and ************) are bogus and have automatic messages congratulations, youve been selected to win a $100 ******* gift card! To claim, please press 1, or please hang up-senior logistics manager phone number ************** asks to leave a message for a different phone number.-****** ****** CFO of AES will be the point of contact in helping assist in all of the above matters. Her direct contact is ************ in regards to the SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT AND GENERAL RELEASEcannot get ahold of.Copies of all forms and agreements signed by both parties readily available. I hired this company to move me from *********, CA to ************, **. They picked up my shipment on 9/11/24 and it has been almost 6 weeks and I still have not received my shipment. I am sleeping on the floor (no furniture), no dishes, no clothes, no toiletries besides an overnight bag that I brought with me. It has already cost me thousands in purchasing things just to sustain with no belongings. When I first checked in after 2 weeks my items were still in a storage unit in ********* (they moved it directly into a storage unit and didn't even load it onto a truck for 3 weeks after it was picked up from my apartment in *********). Each update they give me is a different excuse, the latest being that the truck in "broken down in *******".Initial Complaint

I told them from the start that my daughter used a 15 U-Haul and the backseat of her car, they quoted a price for about 1/3 of that space, so price was low, told them I dont want to be scammed and they assured me that I wouldnt be, well moving day came and they wanted over $2000 more than what was quoted. I cannot get a call back from customer service and the owner even promised me to call in 2 days and that was 10 days ago. Worst company ever!! Total price was around $5500Customer Answer

They intentionally did a low bid to get the job, then when the movers got to CT the bill went up over $2000, also I put down a $1423 deposit (approx) then within a few days they moved $540 of that deposit to another line in the contract, so it only looked like I put $900 (about) deposit which the moving company went off that amount, so in addition to the $2000 + 500= $2500 that I was ripped off, clearly a scam company since they moved and changed their phone numbers, if I had the owners names I would file a civil lawsuit , please help meInitial Complaint

I was entirely scammed.
