Follow up to complaint 7363829752CE1 You responded that the company is "no longer in business"I spoke with them YESTERDAY, same day as you researched.They were very much in business.I think this is a scam business and they have learned to tell you this to avoid further documentation of complaints.They told me they would not refund my money because it was over ************************************************* they were not lying when they said they represented ******* company because they are the underwriters for *******. I have little confidence that a fly by ********* in ******* with no internet presence actually is the underwriter for ******* (the car company). 8/14/2024 Company said they represent Toyata and sell extended service contract. They said my current contract is about to expire and they can renew it for six more years. How they got all my personal information and vehicle info is still a mistery. Checking into my purchase agreement from ****** and discovered I already purchased an extended service contract good for a total of ******* miles or seven years. I purchased this vehicle on 3/2022. ***************** sent a paper notice of ****** extended warranty ending. Then, they called insisting that I immediately extend the warranty as it was to expire that day.This was fraud as the policy does not end for some years. EFS pressured me to IMMEDIATELY agree to a policy extension as "your ****** extended warranty ends today."EFS used high pressure tactics. I contacted the ****** dealer about my warranty. They told me that the warranty was current and would remain so for some time. The dealer told me that they are aware that this company works this scam but there is nothing the dealer can do about it.This is a BAD company using high pressure tactics in a dishonest manner. The warranty they sell may, possibly, be valid.Please warn people to avoid this scam.Business Response

May 16, 2024. Contacted by phone by Direct Vehicle protection of ********************. Sales person indicated that they could offer a "bumper to bumper warranty for one of my vehicles. Sales person *************************, described the "bumper to bumper warranty would cover everything from the engine, electrical, brakes, all mechanical of the vehicle. He even said that the "bumper to bumper covered everything except wear and tear of the upholstery and paint of the vehicle. Mr,. **** also indicated that it included 3 oil changes, and windshield wipers, I specifically asked ************ that the warranty would not be void for not maintaining an oil change every ***** miles or 6 months which ever came sooner. ************ said no there is not such requirement. Again ************ stated that the warranty for the vehicle was Bumper to bumper and again explained that it did not cover the upholstery or paint. So last week the brake line goes out this vehicle and I call the roadside number and explain that the vehicle has no working brakes and fluid is leaking brake fluid and it is having trouble starting. They arrange for a tow to the dealership, and I get an estimate of $1300 for the brake line and a dead battery. The dealer ship calls the claim number and dealership is told none of the work is covered as I have just a drivetrain warranty. I have left three (3) voicemail messages to have someone call me back, and to date not a single call.Initial Complaint

i got a call from a man offering me additional car insurance. He said that he worked for ****** care. He convinced me to sign up for additional coverage for a one-time payment of $179. This place has now taken two payments from me for a total of $358. They also have a pending payment set to come out of my account this week. i have tried numerous times to call the contact phone number i was given, and nobody answers for me to cancel. i have disputed this payment with my bank and i am receiving a new credit card and this account will be canceled. i am an elderly women who lives off of social security. I have attempted to contact this company on 4 different occasions, and am always asked to leave message that is never returned. I want this policy cancelled and they refuse to be in touch with me. I did provide them with a credit card for initial payment and changed my mind about the coverage within an hour. I have cancelled the original credit card because I felt as if this business was fraudulent by not returning any of the 4 messages I left. I have since had a new credit card issued to me and some how they were able to charge my new account, even though I never provided them with the new account number. On Jan 3,2024 received phone call from ********************* selling extended auto warranty packages. Gave them $179 via check info. They Sent a package full of info., I realized it would be far too expensive for my needs so I cancelled on 1-17-2024. I signed a statement to cancel. Multiple calls made either no answer, never a call back, was referred to main headquarters. DIRECT VEHICLE PROTECTION, eventually talked to a *********************, she said check in the mail in a week. Call back daily, no answer. On 02/13/2024 through many attempts on several phone numbers, my wife contacted *********************, she said, check in the mail on the 21st 2024! This is NOT RIGHT, THEY ARE A VERY SUSPICIOUS OUTFIT, I FEAR WE WILL Not receive OUR MONEY OF $179.Initial Complaint

This company claims to represent car manufacturers and is providing an extended warranty on their behalf. After receiving my paperwork I attempted to call the company to clarify some points I read in the material I received and have been unable to contact them all I get is a message stating, that they are busy leave a name and number and they will call back, I did that 3 time and still have not heard back. To ensure my bank account is not accessed again I was forced to cancel the card that I used and have a new one Issued. You claim this company is out of business but someone is using their name and paperwork to scam people. Purchased warranty coverage. Cancelled the the following day due to incorrect information being presented at time of purchase. Submitted all notarized paperwork within 7 days (had 28). company confirmed receiving paperwork on 6/6/2023. Was told up to 12 weeks to get full refund check. have called every month since and still do not have check. Been told delay is a result of change in management, staff shortages, holidays and heavy volume. I feel this company has acted fruadulantly and has no intension of returning my money. EFS has been charging my elderly fathers card for a warranty he did not agree to purchase. Were getting daily calls about payment, but we did not agree on any continual payments nor are interested in your extended scam warranties. Please be careful when dealing with this businessBusiness Response
