  The price quoted was not what was charged. I was quoted $139 for up to 45 minutes. The job was a standard unclogging of a shower drain. The drain cover was even taken off. I was then billed $139 plus $35 equipment fee for using a *******electric snake" What business adds a charge for standard equipment. Plus a 3% credit card fee that I was not told about when I called for their rate. Buyers should be told upfront. I called three other plumbers and none charge for equipment. This is really a scam for consumers.

  Dunedin Plumbing, Inc. is not a flat rate company.  Most of our jobs are time and material.  A sewer machine is considered material.  ***** machines range from $35.00 to $75.00 and are used to clear stoppages. ****************** stated that she was not made aware of the snake charge as well as the 3% credit card charge. Since there was a  miscommunication when scheduling, ****************** was refunded a total of $40.22---$35.00 for the handi-electric snake and $5.22 for the 3% credit card charge.    Dunedin Plumbing, Inc. has been in business for over 50 years and thrives on repeat business. We hope this refund will satisfy ****************** and she will continue to use Dunedin Plumbing, Inc. in the future.

  I had a water heater installed in my condo three years ago by Dunedin Plumbing. A few weeks ago I noticed some slight water in the drip pan so I called them today and one of their text came out. They told me that the water heater itself has several cracks in it. Again, they installed it only three years ago!Apparently the water heater itself is under warranty but, they want to charge me almost $600 for labor parts and permitting it was $1200 to have the brand new water heater installed and they want to charge me half again as much just replace one that they had installed?!?The manager ***** was a jerk no compassion ,no apology, nothing and refused to issue any kind of discount. I told him I had trusted Dunedin Plumbing to be a professional company who installed quality products and boy was I wrong.Buyer beware

  We are writing in response to Ms. ****** complaint/comment on the leaking water heater.  The water heater that was installed, was covered under 100% parts and labor warranty for a period of 1 year from the date of installation, the tank and electronics are covered by the manufacturer for the balance of the 6 years.  The leak occurred in year 3 of her installation and is through no fault of Dunedin Plumbing *** or any of its technicians.  When there is a problem with a water heater in years two through six, the manufacturer covers the parts, in this case a new tank, however, the homeowner is responsible for the labor, miscellaneous fittings, any city code upgrades, and the permit for replacement of the water heater.  If ************** was to call any other company or the manufacturer, she would find the same information.  

  
  

  As for her interaction with ***** in the office, she is upset with him as he was trying to explain the costs involved in changing out the water heater that are not covered by the warranty.  The city in which she lives requires a permit for replacement of a water heater and there is no way to get around that fact.  The frustration was on both sides of the conversation as she was not understanding that we were just following the manufacturer warranty.
