    Avani Home Remodeling took a deposit (50%) from me and after 90 days have still not filed permits for the job. This was supposed to be a full remodel of my unit including tile flooring, a kitchen, 2 ******************** On 12/9/24 I gave ****** ************ **** a cashiers check for $30,000. They had an architect come to my home on 12/17/24 to do the drawings required for the permit. Approval for the project from my Board was completed on 12/30/24. So, with the **************** approval we had what we needed to file permits. Based on this I gave them an additional check for $32,500. Total cost for the job was $125,000. It is March 13, 2025 & no permits were ever filed. ************* do not return calls. I only get texts responses that NEVER answer any questions & are full of BS excuses. It has come to light that they are not even licensed contractors.

    This was NOT a repair Complaint.    This is flat out FRAUD!    ****** ***** & **** **** STOLE $62,500 from me.  They were supposed to do a complete renovation.   How is it that no one treats this as a crime?????

    I am writing to formally file a complaint against Avani Home Remodeling, a general contracting business, for unprofessional conduct and failure to deliver contracted services. Below are the details of my case:Contact Person: ****** (Owner/Representative)Date Hired:May 2024 Nature of Work: Redoing pavers in driveway I hired Avani in May to complete paver work in front of my house and paid a 50% deposit upfront. However, the project remains incomplete, actually not even started. The delay began when I was required to change the selected paver material due to HOA disapproval. Avani made the process of material change unnecessarily difficult, and since then, the company has completely stopped communicating with me. They have not responded to my repeated phone calls, emails, or other attempts at contact.Additionally, despite not starting or completing any work, the company has retained my deposit, and I am unable to recover these funds. ******, the owner, has shown no interest in resolving the issue or providing any compensation.Given the significant financial and emotional stress this situation has caused me, I am requesting an investigation into Avani Home Remodeling and appropriate action to be taken to address these violations.     Thank you for the opportunity to address the concerns raised in the complaint. At Avani Home Remodeling, we strive to provide the best service to our clients and are committed to resolving this matter fairly.
    We understand Lorys frustration with the delay and challenges surrounding the paver selection. As explained previously, the original *************** purchased were denied by her ********************** (***), which required a change in materials. Unfortunately, the requested alternative size was unavailable, and this was beyond our control.
    To address this, we promptly provided several alternative color and material options to help **** move forward with her project, however she denied any of the options. This is out of our control. 
    Regarding the deposit, it was applied to processing the original order and securing materials. As per our policy, the deposit is non-refundable, as the work involved in preparing for the project has already been completed. She has a credit in our store that she can use towards her project if she can adjust with a different tone of the colors available.
    We value the longstanding relationship with **** and have consistently worked to ensure our clients satisfaction. ****** has a reputation for completing projects successfully and ensuring clients are happy with the results.
    To resolve this matter, we encourage **** to contact us so we can collaborate on finding the best possible solution. We remain open to continuing the project with an alternative color.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I would like to address the situation at hand and clarify my position. Unfortunately, the statements you have provided are inaccurate. You have consistently failed to respond to my calls, emails, or text messages. To support this claim, I have attached evidence for your reference. I do have much more, but the system doesnt allow more files.

    Additionally, I spoke with two of your former employees (*********************) who left the company without notice, leaving clients without support. This lack of reliability has severely undermined my trust in your company and its processes. Trust is a fundamental element in any business relationship, and at this point, I can no longer continue working with your company.

    I request that we finalize this matter promptly and that you refund my money as soon as possible.
