My exam was done by a support staff, not OD. OD scolded me for not getting an annual eye exam, said I was at risk for glaucoma. Never before told this. Don't trust. I had to pay a copay and refraction fee. After my insurance adjudicated the claim and paid the refraction contracted rate. No copay responsibility was indicated on my part. I have attempted several times to reach billing to request a refund of the 85.00 I paid unnecessarily only to hear that the mail box is full and no messages can be left. I've even gone back to the clinic but they refer me to the billing number telling me to call at 8 AM. Again this morning at 8;am, tried to call billing. I got the same message, mailbox full unable to take messages. Then disconnected. When this was Comprehensive Eye Care, service was so much better, now that is Quigley the service and competence has gone out the door. I recommend going elsewhere. I will no longer recommend them either.

I was overcharged for my glasses by $185. I purchased these glasses on January 28, 2022 and charged to my credit card $440. Argus eyecare insurance covered $150 making the total $590 for the glasses. When I receive my explanation of benefits from my health insurance company Freedom Health, it showed I had overpaid $185. My actual cost should have been $255. When I went back to Quigley Eye and asked for a refund I was told they do not have to abide by the insurance companies policy. They did admit to a mistake of $35 which they said would credit back to my credit card however it never happened and I did not get the $35. I have filed grievances with my health insurance company with no success and have also sent copies of the grievance letters and the explanation of benefits to ****** ******* and he has not acknowledged the over charging to me either.Freedom Health my health provider has assured me that their Explanation of Benefits is correct and when a company agrees to accept their insurance they must accept their guidelines of what they can charge their patients.

Port Charlotte location booked me for a plaquenil field test and gave me a test that is for diabetics. In the course of the test my eye was injured. The pain for 2 days was horrible. They provided me with antibiotics as a courtesy, but then they managed to bill me for the procedure that they should have never given me in the first place. I called and said I was going to file a formal complaint and I was told that the bill was being credited and my request for a manager to call me for the overall situation has still gone unheard. This has been almost 2 months. Although I don't have permanent damage... This is still medical malpractice!

WORST DOCTOR EVER!!! I felt so humiliated and robbed (since I paid cash) by this place, and the joke of a ******* *************** *************************** ********* who immediately dismissed my story and symptoms the minute I started talking. I recently had the most scary case of shingles that went to my eyes from a small rash next to my nose. First optometrist that saw me at different clinic, diagnosed me with keratitis, elevated eye pressure and said I had inflammation but recommended seeing an ophthalmologist for further evaluation, while waiting for the appt I was able to get the antiviral meds and by the third dose my symptoms started to subside yet I was left with a few strange symptoms I wanted to discuss with *********************. Finally I had my appt. and I started telling my story and very impatiently he cut me off and said he could just look to my eyes and was able to tell IF I have had the virus, implying I could be lying or making it up. Fortunately for me, I apparently had no scaring left from the ordeal so he concluded that it couldnt be true, nothing I was explaining he was interested in hearing about, evidently this joke of a doctor ****** know **** about shingles and he only knows what he was told in school forty years ago and since my case was atypical because I didnt get scars from it, he just chose to dismiss me entirely. Did not answer any of my questions and was shocked at the fact that I showed him a picture of my retina that I got at the first place that saw me, asking three times how did I have such images in my tablet, I explained most places now take a pic and send to you and he was acting in such disbelief. I felt so insulted when he suggested to see a neurologist implying Im crazy, very ignorant person, if I had an atypical case maybe he could have listened and learned from it instead , unacceptable. And pay for that on top of is just beyond inconceivable. I would like to talk to business owner about this doctors behavior and ignorance

I am an RN who really cares about patients and quality care. Quigley's staff lies to patients and potential patients. They are NOT to be trusted. Integrity is a patient safety issue. **** is extremely rude, unprofessional and accusatory to patients. ***** lies. Terrible staff who obviously do not care about patients.

I had an unsatisfactory experience with Quigley Eye Specialists during my second cataract surgery there in March of 2023. The surgeon, who is good at what he does but must be required to follow corporate protocols and NOT tell me that since I have a stigmatism, the 2nd surgery would not be successful.....Unless I had the $3,000 implant. Without that knowledge, I assumed my second surgery would be successful. It was not successful because of the lack of information I was given. Now, I have very limited eyesight in that second eye, with no solution. Had I known the truth, I would never have had the surgery! Or I would have borrowed the $3000 and had the implant put in that would actually let me see out of that eye. I believe that "corporate medicine" is responsible for this grave error, this lying by omission, and the patient is the one who has paid the price! Because of what happened to me, I would never be able to recommend Quigley Eye to anyone in the future. What a horrible disappointment and what a horrific situation for the patient. Further, the practice is now so large that "the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing!" Ever! Messages left never get to the correct person. Letter left for one person is opened by another and nothing is done to communicate with the patient. If you are wanting personal attention and good, consistent communication with an eye provider, do NOT become a patient at this practice! Sarah W******

I hated my experience at this location. The front desk clerk lady, with black hair is so rude. I was trying to reschedule an appointment over the phone and was transferred to this location- but they didn't pick up the phone. So I drove here.As I walked in I greeted the front desk clerk (no hello back), and I started to explain to her what we needed done. She had the audacity to interrupt me and tell me to sit and wait - no excuse that she was working on something she just wanted to run things her way and obviously I was in her way. So in efforts to not escalate and put her in her place, I went and sat. While I was sitting she took all the time in the world (mind you there was only 1 patient in the whole building). She eventually called me up but failed to listen to me. I wanted to reschedule my appointment, she barely looked at my file and showed me she didn't care about me or my time. Instead she said they would just combo my next specialist visit with my eye exam next month- SOMETHING YOU CANNOT DO DUE TO INSURANCE (explained to me at the Cape Coral office cannot do two services in one appointment).Once I understood this lady is good for nothing and was not going to listen to me or help me, I called the main line and explained the same thing and guess what- they agreed that I should be rescheduled and took care of it immediately. I have another appointment for tomorrow now in ********************. Why did this employee at ************* not do this for me? I took the time to drive here because she wouldn't pick up the telephone! Then she insulted me by not taking the time to listen to me and make a simple rescheduling change. I told the phone operator very clearly not to ever schedule me again at this location because of the lady in the front desk.
