I was going to switch from GoDaddy to Web.com. I opened my web.com account far before my godaddy expired to see how their site was. I purchased web hosting and domain services. The Domain import was the only service that listed terms which was non-cancellable. I started getting nickeled and dimed over things I needed and realized I was not going to save any $ by switching. Since GoDaddy was way easier to use, I decided to switch back w/i 28 days of signing up assuming I could get a credit for web hosting. When I called to cancel, I was told there was a 3 day cancellation policy. Nowhere on their site lists these terms nor can anyone from web.com send them to me in writing. They only state it over the phone when you try to cancel. So now I have 2 web hosting accounts but am only using 1. I think this is unethical business practice and should be investigated for a crime.

We hired web.com to design our website, but we have been told that they aren't able to use the colors that we want (pearl silver). Requested simple changes takes a long time. As a professional web designer, it should take a couple of hours. Time is money. Their way of designing doesn't appear to be modern, current or up to today's standards. You should be able to give them an idea and they create what you want. It seems as though you're limited to what you can have, but that defeats the purpose of hiring a professional design team. They have been paid in full already, so we were expecting better results.

Web.com kept charging my credit card for service renewals without providing a notice, statement, bill, invoice, or any similar document describing the terms of the renewals and any changes to its policy and pricing. I repeatedly demanded that it delete my credit card information, but it refused every time. On a few occasions, I told it to use another email address to send me information and responses. It refused. When a representative finally agreed to update the address, I still didn't get the messages I was expecting. This on-going trouble prompted me to request service cancellation. The company terminated the service, but then declined to issue a refund even though I had previously received a written promise from a supervisor that I was entitled to a refund for the unused period. After three lengthy grueling phone calls, it finally paid the refund. After these actions and incidents, I am now convinced that they were all part of a unscrupulous plan to furtively coerce me into continuing with the renewals. There were no notifications before the renewal to give me a chance to review the terms of service and determine whether I wanted to continue with it. So, when it amended the requirements, I knew nothing about them. It refused to update my email address multiple times. The lack of notification or response left me in the dark. All the while, it held on to my credit card data and was charging my credit card at will. I have no confidence they will stop keeping my payment data. I believe Web.com's business practices are obfuscatory, deceptive and coercive, having the effect of keeping customers uninformed about its policy and pricing and facilitating its efforts to unfairly extract money from them for as long as possible. Its BBB's rating of F is very deserving.

Do not use this company for any web services. I used them for 2 years and was nickel and dimed in fees from day one. Their prices are inflated and they are terrible to work with. I was given several different prices for services through various online chats. FYII was told that only being able to access your business email through a computer was normal and being able to access it on your phone or tablet was asking too much. I had to check my email through a link and never did get it to work right despite being on chats for help on a monthly basis. They wanted to charge me an hourly fee for tech help. Now that I have transferred my domain they are being extra difficult. **** and Avoid!

I transferred my domain thinking they had good rates BIG MISTAKE I spent countless hours on chat and each they they made me purchase new items and kept saying after I purchased them that my account would be working properly. It took weeks and nothing worked at all. I was not able to go to my site. I am very upset as I have to wait 60 days to transfer it back to a better company.

Web.com is holding my domain hostage. I have requested to transfer out of this service since they acquired My Domain (my previous registrar) more than a dozen times via the website and 4 times via chat. After months of dealing with this issue I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED A TRANSFER CODE. Further more attempts to speak with a manger or anyone that may actually be able to help have been thwarted by whatever base line customer service they have. I would absolutely NOT recommend this company and would suggest one do whatever possible to stay away from them.

I would give zero stars if I could. Dotster was bad enough, giving me a whole bunch of bogus transfer auth codes. Now these guys aren't responding at all to my transfer authorization request. Are they just a bunch of scammers?

Wow the tangled mess: Bluehost has BBB headquarters as ******************** However, when you got to your Bluehost account and look at your ************** Agreement you find they have changed the name of the company you are contracting with to Web.com. All are getting trashed by cusomer complaints. How many heads does this Hydra have and how can we avoid it!web.com Bluehost.com iPage BlueHost StartLogic JustHost Super Green Hosting They give us the option to turn "auto renew" on or off. However, they are not honoring the customer's request and causing a mess by taking the money and then running you around trying to run out the 30 time limit for disputing with your credit card company.

My experiences with WEB.com has been a total NIGHTMARE! i paid for a three-year hosting package subscription to the tune of $331.76. After a few days, I found their web-building program impossible to use, and when I called support all I heard was multiple apologies that they could not help me, that the program wasn't designed to work that way, that there was nothing they could do. the builder was totally unresponsive and impossible to use. When I asked to cancel my services, they told me it was past the three-day limit and I was out of luck. I have called and received 4 refusals to even hear me out. Nothing is said about the fact that I paid for 3 years and they are keeping all the money.I have been building websites for 25 years, and I've never seen worse service or building tools. Unfortunately, I didn't check the reviews before I spent my money.I left one star because there was no other choice, AND I must say the support folks do their best. I feel sorry for them. I know what it's like to work for an unscrupulous company.

I have been with this company for 10 years. We have a nonprofit foundation, raising funds to help with families and research for pediatric brain cancer. I have been working for over 2 months to get my web forwarding service back up and running. They said it was a new platform and it didn't propagate correctly. I have spoken with 11 times (over 5 hours on the phone) in the past 2 months and of course the *** in the *********** assure me the issue will be fixed in 24 hrs and it never is. This has ruined our golf outing flyers with a ** Code the past 2 months. Currently, our marketing materials to be used next week the ** Code will not get directed to the site it should be. Who do I get people to my site to collect donations. Clearly after reading some of these other post, WEB.com has a very serious issue they are not addressing. This problem ruining my fundraiser!
