      From one local business owner to another.This review is written based on principle and very important for future customers to know: Do not pay your invoice until you have a written statement or notes regarding the diagnostic from the visit.On June 14, 2022 before 7pm, my tenant notified me that the lights in the home she rents were flickering. She heard a humming noise and then started to smell burning plastic. Fearing for her safety, I immediately got on the phone to call an electrician. Most were not available after hours, so I got in touch with one of my contractors who is able to run over and take a look and investigate. He suggested we turn everything off and to keep calling for an electrician. Over the course of an hour, we finally got in touch with Bolt Electric. I'm not sure if it was the owner, but one of their technicians visited the home a little after 8pm. He performed an inspection and found out that it was an issue JEA. He stayed to assist my tenant in calling *** and pointed out his theory to them which prompted them came out. Which I was grateful for. It appears in the past, JEA ran temporary lines to the property and neglected to update the line which caused a surge. Thankfully, the house did not catch fire with the tenant in it. With this power surge came damages to my personal property. Later, a friend who works for ***************** about the story and felt I should file a claim. It would make sense the date on the electrical visit would match the same date JEA visited, I had a reasonable case. So, I contacted JEA to file a claim. In order for JEA to consider my case, they require something in writing about what transpired the evening the electrician visited. I paid Bolt Electric $298+ tax PROMPTLY (as I do with all my venders) for their emergency visit on June 14, 2022 at 9:17pm. Not predicting the future, I somehow screwed myself over because I neglected to collect an invoice with notes of the technicians discovery. It's likely JEA will rei
