    THEY SOLD ME A LOWER END MODEL UNDER THE GUISE THAT IT WAS A HIGHER END MODEL!!!

    I literally paid MORE for a 2019 vehicle than it was sold for BRAND NEW. This car cost the original owner $38,200 BRAND NEW in 2019, and they charged me $47,500 under the guise that it was a HIGHER END MODEL THAN IT WAS.

    I saw online that they were selling a 2019 Tesla Model 3 >>>LONG RANGE<<< for a fair price. I called and had them price out my trade in before I even got there. The online advertisement said LONG RANGE. The window sticker on the actual vehicle said LONG RANGE. We talked about it being a LONG RANGE, I was happy and we had everything done within a matter of hours. I purchased the vehicle for $47,500, which was a fair dealership price for a LONG RANGE MODEL. Later, I learned it was a lower end model (Standard Range Plus), which is worth $10,000 LESS THAN the Long Range they told me I had!

    Mind you, for this vehicle, the different builds look exactly the same, the difference is in the guts and computer parts of the car. So there is no way to tell that this vehicle wasn’t a long range just by looking at it. This is literally like selling someone an iPhone 12 in the case of an iPhone 14 Plus, and then just putting “iPhone” on the receipt.

    Oh wait, there is more. The told me they would order a charging cable, which I never received (I ending up buying it myself for over $200). After we negotiated the final price I got myself pre-approved from my bank for the loan, at their desk. Only AFTER I had my credit run did they tell me that the price we negotiated was contingent on using their financing sources, meaning I had to choose between having my credit run again or paying extra for the vehicle. I also found receipts in the vehicle from the prior owner, and all of their home, work, and navigation information was still stored in the car.

    *I’ll also add that they re-sold my trade-in using the same tactic. This is deplorable and I demand to be remedied.

    We have reimbursed her for the expense of the missing cable that was promised in the deal.

    I have instructed the sales managers to pay the difference in price of a 2019 Model 3 Standard Range Plus versus Model 3 Long Range.

    Per the Tesla site, the price difference on these two 2019 models is $3,510.
