Worst hosting company. My website was infested on their server right after I downgraded with them, as my company did not need any additional options. Their custom care wanted to charge me over $700.00 to fix the issue and also sell me their protection plan for additional $$$. I switched to a different company and when I demanded a refund they declined any refund. This company is the worst!

This company did not honor "free/included services" for long term contracts. Additionality, they renewed a service charge I object to prior to service authorization, and have not refunded my account after 7 days. I may file another update tomorrow

They infect your website when they supposed to be protecting your website. Then they try to extort money through a cleaning service.

We are a company specializing in the design, development, and maintenance of websites for our clients. Over the past 10 years, we have hosted some of our clients' websites and emails on BlueHost. Unfortunately, we recently encountered a significant issue with their service. BlueHost blocked the sending of emails from our account, citing the reason that bulk emails were sent. This claim is inaccurate, as we do not send bulk emails. When we inquired further, BlueHost was unable to provide us with specific details on which email supposedly sent the bulk emails. Additionally, they claimed that a webform was used to send these emails, which is also incorrect as we do not use web forms for sending emails. BlueHost then requested that we install Google’s reCaptcha to reactivate our emails. Following that, they informed us that there was a virus on our server. However, after conducting a thorough virus scan, no virus was detected. Subsequently, they claimed that the DKIM and SPF records on our email accounts had been changed, yet they could not provide any information on when or by whom these changes were made. This ongoing issue has persisted for four days now, with one excuse after another from BlueHost. As a result of BlueHost/NewFold’s actions, we have experienced significant disruptions, and we will be seeking compensation for our losses.

3 years after I had the service, they raised the price by $300. Then the only way I could get my websites back would be if I transferred them each for 150. It is a scam, and it is a rip off. They do not do anything, and they rob you. Find a local hosting service. Don't go with this thing ever. Also, I asked for my money back when one of my websites auto-renewed on my non-existing hosting service that I didn't renew because of the outrageous price, and they wouldn't give me my money back. They robbed me again for $40. They should be sued, and they should go out of business.

I've had a site with them for many, many years. When I started out as their customer, they were great! My business had very limited needs, and they were super helpful. I don't know what's happened to them in the intervening years, but it's completely awful now. I only just recently discovered they've been overcharging for the services they've been providing for who knows how long. When I brought this up with support, they gaslit me, tried to pander to me with temporary discounts, lied to me about their own pricing structure, and tried several other tricks to deceive me about the pricing. The only good thing I can say is that, from a technical perspective, their hosting service never gave me trouble. The interface is as bad as the very first day, but it did consistently meet those low expectations.

Avoid HostGator Constant Downtime and Pushy Upselling Tactics ?????Ive had a truly frustrating experience with HostGator. Our small business relies heavily on our website, and for months, we dealt with constant downtime and performance issues. Every time I contacted their tech support, I was met with the same response: instead of fixing the problem, they kept trying to push me toward upgrading to an outrageously expensive service plan costing hundreds of dollars a ******** became clear that they had no interest in resolving the issues on our current planthey just wanted more money. This felt like a deliberate ploy to squeeze more out of small businesses like ours.*** up, I decided to migrate my entire site to a new hosting provider. Since making the switch, everything has been running smoothly with zero downtime or problems. Its disappointing that HostGator, a company I trusted with our business, would resort to such tactics instead of providing reliable service. If youre running a small business and need dependable hosting, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. HostGator is not worth the headaches or the extra expense.

BLUEHOST - Absolutely awful service. All my websites were hacked and Bluehost took zero accountability. There is no phone number to reach a person. They try to sell you on Sitelock as security but Sitelock is a complete scam - they allowed my website to be hacked and took no accountability either. Stay far far far away from this company. Even trying to cancel services with them, they refuse to listen and refuse to do it, instead they try to upsell you on additional services that "can help recover files" and then try and charge you for this. I cannot believe this business hasn't been shut down already as a complete fraud and scam.

Predatory Practices. Genuinely should be investigated by the *** or other relevant state authorities. I hope this company faces legal consequences for their dishonesty.
