I just realized they have been charging me $77 dollars a year for a service I have never used. I thought they were charging me for my domain but discovered this was not the case when my domain suddenly expired. I asked for a refund and was denied. I find it shady when a company will let you pay for a service for YEARS when you've never even opened or used the application! I understand I should have read my emails and didn't. I only signed up for a domain. I didn't think I had to babysit my invoices from this company.

Terrible hosting service, lots of downtime, NO accountability. They make it ridiculously difficult to cancel or change any services. They automatically upgraded me to things without my permission.

This company is owned by ***. DO NOT HOST WITH ANY OF THEIR COMPANIES. I am an attorney and Hostgator killed my clients account after a 10 day past due account. He called them to ask to extend it as his credit card was stolen and he was waiting for another. They refused. This is called domain and file ******. They refuse to give him his files. This is illegal in the ***. If you have been charged after cancelation or exhorted by fees let us know. We are looking to put EIG in place. Also file with the *** and your State Attorney.

************************** Charged our credit card $719!! unauthorized transaction, we cancelled their service years ago!. After multiple calls over many months for which each time I was promised a refund, finally a "higher decision maker" declined the refund, stating that the auto renewal wasn't cancelled event though they haven't been hosting our website for years! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ************************ Read the reviews, once you terminate their services the auto renew magically works again and charges your account!!

We ordered two site migrations through BlueHost, despite seeing the bad reviews. I didn't think too much of it- all companies have bad reviews....that was until I experienced the issues with BlueHost. They didn't properly transfer over the two websites we needed, and there isn't a way to view the staging site like other hosts provide to you, so you're forced to connect the domain, hoping they did their job properly. Of-course, both sites were entirely broken leaving us scrambling. We reached out MULTIPLE times through both the chat and email to the support team, who then has to forward information to the migration team. Mind you, we did this for a period of a week and heard absolutely nothing from anyone during this time. The migration team reached out from a noreply email address and, go figure, it doesn't accept replies. We are still left without a working website. Please please please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. All they do is hire foreign workers to answer the chats and phones, which in most cases would be fine, however that's all that these people are capable of- they have no technical expertise at all. Multiple agents broke the website again and again and I had to correct ******* one should have to go through this with a host.

Two of my friends have just left Hostgator having being with them for over 15 years. There is no way to reach support. The phone keeps asking me to submit a pin but then says it's not recognized. Please, this company needs to be sued and put of out business. It use to be owned by ****** and was great. The site seems broken. I'm logged in an icons are showing as missing. The chat option does not do anything when I click it. I just renewed but I'm not getting a receipt to my email and the status of my account still says it's going to update. I'm going to probably be billed again even though I just paid. My friend warned me to leave them, I should have listened, but I have a lot of emails setup with them and including my parents, so moving to a new host is a major task with updating all our devices. I've been with them about 18 years. The company that owns them now is a scam.

Hostgator is a nightmare. My website first came up with this message. "Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress". I was told that I needed to speak with Hostgator. I spoke to a representative who put me on hold forever as he was going to "solve the problem" He ruined my website! This is the most important time of the year (as a tour operator) who relies on gift certificate bookings.I had a lovely website that cost me $10,000 to create - with logos etc, etc - in 2012 when we first started the business. Hostgator representative said he got it up and running. Please click on the link below and tell me if this even makes any sense. Does this woman look like someone on a walking food tour? *************************************** away from Hostgator!

Newfold's Hostgator business has everything automated so when there is a billing issue they shut down your site. (common) Then you have 30 days to fix it or the system deletes your hosted files. However, in my circumstance, I built WordPress sites so the client can do his own updates. I never knew the site was down until it was too late. There were no notifications in my email. No phone calls either. A decade worth of work, deleted without any human interaction. The support was all pre-scripted and repetitive. There should be some type of human interaction before the system deletes a decades worth of work.

Domain.com is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. They processed an unauthorized charge for a domain I didnt need, even though autopay had been canceled. When I reached out to their support team, they claimed a refund had been processed and assured me the money would be back in my account within 35 days. However, a month passed, and I still hadnt received the refund. I contacted them again, and they said they would escalate my request and follow up via email.A few days later, I received an email stating that because the charge had been processed, they could not issue a refund. I reached out yet again, only to be told that the billing team couldnt process the refund. Their response? Im afraid there isnt much we can do from our end. You should contact your bank to see if they can help. Its absolutely absurd that a multimillion-dollar company claims it cannot refund a charge of approximately $30. What a joke. Never again will I use this company.

I used Hostgator one time for a college course where we had to build a website. After that was over, I cancelled my subscriptions to their services and deleted my account. 3 YEARS later, they continue to charge my card annually for their services. I've disputed every charge each time because I don't even have an account with them and when I tried calling, they "couldn't find me" in their system so they refused refunds because I can't prove I have an account with them??? So they are literally admitting to me on the phone that they are charging a non-customer's card! And so I just resort to disputing transactions. I have a full-time job and can't be taking time out of my day to go to my credit union and change my card number over 2 fraudulent charges, so it's just now an annual tradition of mine to dispute their fraudulent charges every November. This company needs to be sued over this and the *** need to seek criminal penalties against their CFO or even their CEO for fraud because that's EXACTLY what this company is doing.
