Thank you, *****, for sharing your feedback. We understand that pursuing educational goals while managing personal responsibilities can be challenging, and we have and will continue to make every effort to assist and support you throughout your journey with ***** this end, our team engaged with you on multiple occasions, which included a detailed conversation with an Assistant Manager, to understand your concerns and offer a variety of flexible solutions tailored to your situation.During these discussions, we reiterated the terms of your signed agreement, which were thoroughly explained and reviewed with you during your enrollment process. During this enrollment process, you verbally and through electronic signature confirmed that you understood and accepted these terms and conditions, which included:Our withdrawal policy clearly outlines the requirements for withdrawal from the program and the financial responsibilities associated with this. This policy exists to maintain fairness and consistency for all students.Regarding the financial responsibility, it was explained that the tuition obligation remains in effect as outlined in the agreement, regardless of course completion status. We will make every effort to assist you in completing this course, including providing you with a study break should you require ******* for payment expectations and default consequences, as with any program, missed payments could limit access to material and other services. This is an industry standard and would apply to any educational institution. Despite some initial concerns, you chose to continue in the program. During a call with one of our Assistant Managers, you asked to cancel the withdrawal process. You expressed your intention to stay enrolled and attend classes, possibly arriving late when necessary. It's important to prevent misunderstandings about our company and our mission to support students via credit-by-exam pathways. We do not wish to force you into any specific direction, but we do require students to meet certain thresholds as part of our commitment to driving success. This process has proven its effectiveness over many years as we have delivered many students into the nursing and other professions. With regards to Climb, should you complete the withdrawal process, your overall loan obligation would be adjusted to reflect your obligation to Achieve, and therefore, your claim that you would need to repay the full loan is not completely accurate. We are committed to finding a solution to the challenges that you are facing and would like to encourage you to please reach out to our support team at ************ to allow us to discuss this matter further and find a solution.Review fromDena S

Donot use this company. They tell you all you want to hear quick sign up and then leave you unassisted. Like others I m an lpn was working towards my ban. Quick way to excel through courses. Not know you have to take classes then take the exams through excelsior college. Double pay. No assistance. I took four classes 11-12 years ago. Yes. 2014. The last six months Stephen and associates from achieve have called my house , my cell phone and my office a number of times and sent me a number of letters stating I owe them. Again after 11 years. $10,000 or they will escalate to legal form and send me to collections. After speaking with Stephen I told him I withdrew from achieve 11 years ago and sent a letter in writing I wish not to continue with this course. They were no help to me. I understand times are hard businesses are struggling but to try and collect a debt after 11 years. Ridiculous. Horrible establishment. I will take legal action if they contact me again. Please don’t waste your time or money with this company I only self ting one star because I cannot continue with my complaint.Achieve Test Prep

We're sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction and appreciate the opportunity to respond. Upon enrollment, you agreed to complete a set number of courses as part of our program. You made notable progress in the early stages, demonstrating strong attendance and engagement, which we value. However, after some time, participation in the program ceased, and we did not receive a formal cancellation request, which is required as part of the enrollment agreement. As a result, the terms of the agreement remain in effect. While we understand that time has passed and circumstances can change, we must uphold our contractual obligations. Our goal is not to cause undue stress, but to work toward a fair resolution. We encourage you to contact our team directly so we can further discuss this matter and work toward a solution. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best moving forward. If you have any further questions or concerns, we encourage you to call ************.Review fromKaren W

When I made my first payment, they said I would have a designated advisor but to the point where I stopped paying, I had none. When I said I wanted out of the program a certain person who was not an advisor allocated himself to go through the program with me until I finished the program. They enticed me with a special program where I will have mentors who have been through the program and will be allocated on each course I take. I never got this at all. I insisted I wanted to know what this program can do for me so I asked to do at least one course then I can make my payment. At this moment I only have two payments left. I have already paid over $6000 and I have not started anything in the program. I started again Introduction to psychology but when I joined, they were on the 5th or 6th chapter. I waited until the beginning, I took one week off because I was arrested and they dropped me from the course. when I was supposed to finish the course to be able to study for the exam. On my last lesson my account was blocked so I never did the last lesson of the course, and they started calling for payments. The designated advisor started calling too for payment eventually one day I called to speak to him (Nader) I was told he does not work there anymore and that was it for me.I have evidence of emails from the many advisors who were supposed to be who never were. You cannot leave this program because once you sign up, you have signed up for your life until death. Even in marriages, you can get a divorce, but not this program. They pry, especially on foreign students, because they know how naïve we are.I asked for my money back but no you cannot get any amount back. You must get into the program come sun or rain or pay your full payment then leave. You pay them over 6,000 dollars and they do not give refunds. Schools in America refund, hospitals refund, Insurance companies refund, but not Achieve. This company is fraudulent, and I want to expose them for what they are.Achieve Test Prep

I am an LPN who was seeking a faster way to obtain my BSN per Achieve Test Prep's advertisement. I was told by a representative over a recorded zoom call that ALL CLEP credits would be applied to Excelsior University when I did eventually enroll.
A friend reached out to me warning me that Excelsior University only accepted 2/8 CLEP credits she obtained through test-out credits. This scared me because I had already begun classes and completed one and was ready to spend my money on an exam. I attended 2 classes. I called Excelsior University. The advisor I spoke with claimed they do not accept CLEP credits and they have not for a few years now.
Achieve Test Prep was deceitful from the beginning. They lied to me on camera. Since learning this new information, I have gone ahead and attempted to withdraw from the program. I have paid this company $2,100 of my hard earned money as a struggling, single household nurse. Spoke to someone named Lizz who refuses close my application unless I pay $4,120 - "30% of the remaining balance". She was not clear about what this remaining balance entails. When I signed the contract to enroll in this program, it was because I was under the impression this would make my life easier so I can obtain my goals and make enough money to support myself.
I refuse to pay this "company" of trained extortionists a dime more of my money.
They continue to call and text me at inappropriate times of the day, several times a day. I will not be abiding by this "contract". Achieve obtained my signature by preying on my vulnerability, making false claims about this program. They told me I would be paying for courses that apply to my school of choice yet it remains untrue. They are trying to collect my hard earned money for a program I did not complete. I want people to stay away from this scheme. Do not give these people your business. It seems too good to be true because it is. It's not true. They are trained and qualified scammers. Please stay away.Achieve Test Prep

Thank you for the opportunity to address the concerns raised in this complaint. Achieve Test Prep (ATP) is committed to transparency and integrity in all our interactions with students. Below, we will address the points raised and provide clarification based on documented facts.Customer Claims and Our Clarifications Allegation of Misrepresentation The complaint includes claims that *** misrepresented its program, particularly regarding the acceptance of CLEP credits by a specific university. *** is a test preparation company, not an accredited institution, and does not guarantee credit transferability. This is clearly outlined in the Enrollment Agreement, which is reviewed and signed by all students during the enrollment process.Students are advised to verify credit acceptance policies directly with their chosen institutions. In this case, ********************* CLEP credit policy indicates that it does accept CLEP exam credits, provided specific criteria are met. For example, a minimum score of 50 is required for most exams, and credits are awarded based on the subject matter. This information is publicly available on ********************* website and was communicated to the student as part of the enrollment process.Participation in Courses The complainant enrolled in multiple courses but demonstrated minimal engagement. For instance, participation metrics for one course showed limited instructor interaction, incomplete course progression, and poor attendance. Another course remains incomplete. These participation levels suggest a lack of effort to utilize the services provided, which likely influenced the decision not to proceed with CLEP *************** Obligations The complaint disputes financial obligations related to withdrawal. **** policies, clearly outlined in the Enrollment Agreement, specify that withdrawing students are responsible for the cost of completed courses and a withdrawal fee amounting to 30% of the remaining program balance. These terms were reviewed and agreed upon during enrollment and apply regardless of the students progression or decisions to not complete certain courses or exams.Communications and Harassment Claims *** made reasonable and professional attempts to contact the complainant to discuss their withdrawal request and financial obligations. These efforts included phone calls and emails aimed at resolving the situation amicably. When it was made clear that further communication was not desired, outreach ceased.Defamatory Statements The complaint includes allegations that *** operates deceptively and is a "scam." These statements are unfounded and contradicted by the documented evidence of services provided, contractual agreements, and multiple attempts to address the complainants concerns professionally. Such statements are harmful and do not reflect the actual engagement and transparency demonstrated by ************************ CLEP Policy ******************** accepts **** credits, provided certain conditions are met. For example:A minimum score of 50 is required for most CLEP exams.Credits are awarded based on the subject matter and applicability to the students chosen program.********* advises students to consult with their academic advisors to determine how CLEP credits may apply to their degree plans. This policy is consistent with ATPs messaging to students, emphasizing the importance of verifying credit transferability directly with the institution.Summary This complaint appears to stem from dissatisfaction with financial obligations and a lack of engagement with the program. *** has provided the services outlined in the agreement and made consistent efforts to address concerns transparently and professionally. Furthermore, the university referenced in the complaint does accept CLEP credits under specific conditions, contradicting the assertion of misrepresentation. We respectfully request that the BBB consider the documented facts and close this matter as resolved. If additional clarification or documentation is required, we are happy to provide it.Review fromElicia B

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I want to clarify a few points regarding your enrollment and loan situation.
You signed your contract with us on February 13, 2024, which provided a 24-hour cancellation period. This means you could have canceled your enrollment without any obligation and received a full refund. You chose to withdraw on February 14, indicating a desire to fast-track your degree by taking core courses directly at the college and only completing prerequisites through Achieve Test Prep.
Additionally, you received financial assistance through a third-party lender, which has its own 4-day cancellation policy that is separate from our terms. This agreement was made independently of Achieve Test Prep, and we cannot modify the lender's terms.
It's also important to note that our records indicate poor attendance in your courses. We encourage you to return to class to fulfill your commitment and explore your options for continuing your education with us.
If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out. We're here to help!Review fromHeilala F
