My daughter had a misfortune and had her loan company repo her vehicle. She had a balance owed. Addition Financial told her that her loan would need to be paid in full, meaning the balance owed when they repossessed the vehicle is the balance due. My understanding is when the vehicle is repossessed and then gets sold, the person only owes the the deficiency balance. She spoke with them on the phone. She wrote a letter and still, they are trying to collect the full amount. I believe they are scamming her to make money off of her. They refuse to tell her how much they sold the car for and give her a true balance. And if they did sell the vehicle, which I am guessing they did, they did not notify her of the sale and the sale price.Addition Financial Credit Union

A deficiency balance is only after a repossessed vehicle is sold. It's possible that the vehicle in question has not been sold. But again, without knowing more detail about the situation, we can only guess. I went to ********* branch to deposit a $109.33 check into our joint savings on 3/18/25. As usual, one has to stand there (no one in line) and wait till someone decides to make eye contact or greet you, then call you over. Sometimes it's them getting up to walk over to coworkers to "go over something" or whatever the issue is. It happens 95% of the time at this branch. When called, I handed the check to the woman, account number written on the back, the suffix 0 and stated "Please deposit this to ******** savings (suffix 0)". It doesn't get any clearer than that. After her taking awhile, I reiterated the above, she repeated. Still took awhile. Clerk asks, I reiterate again the same. Finally, transaction complete, she gives me the deposit slip, I look at the bottom figure and leave. I check my account briefly that evening, nope, there was a checking withdrawl for the exact amount, showing no deposit to checking. It was late so I would look in the morning. This morning my suffix 9 is out of balance, and there is the exact amount in ************ which I haven't used in 20 years! Then, the amount that was taken out of suffix 9 was transferred to savings suffix 0 yesterday. I dug the receipt out of the trash, it shows it as a transfer but no deposit to suffix 0. Where in my statement yesterday, repeated multiple times does it account for this? I called customer service asking for the manager at *********, the *** says he can fix it, I said I can fix it myself, I wanted the manager at *********. I wait on hold, he finally comes back and says he has "so in so" on the line with him, who happens to be the clerk who did this. I miss CFE, been with them since 85. ******* ****** is who I needed. The telephone customer **** in my opinion saw who did it and alerted her. Stuff like this happens almost everytime (except for 2 times) in the ********* branch, since they've become Addition. Never once did I ask for transfer, withdrawl or Holiday, not once...Addition Financial Credit Union

The absolute worst company I have dealt with for financing. They are charging $270.00 for insurance added to my auto loan claiming that ***** sent them a notification my policy was cancelled. This did not occur according to ***** and my records. I have sent the current and previous declaration pages. Also, I have spent well over an hour with Addition and the third party agency they you to charge the insurance. If they offer you a slightly better rate or suggest Addition at an auto dealership, I strongly advise against it. They may also receive something at the dealership as a referral fee. This is the first and last time I ever use a credit union instead of a traditional auto financing company. There was a separate issue over the summer when they stopped taking automatic payments then charged late fees because of a change they made to their website and I did not log in often enough. I let that go but I am going to pursue this $270.00 refund no matter how many contact center agents and supervisors I need to speak with. Any money you save in interest will lose on the phone dealing with them. I literally am taking a 1/2 day off to drive over an hour to deal with them in person so they cant keep transferring and putting me on hold.Addition Financial Credit Union

This company depleted our savings. We could have TRANSFERRED FUNDS to prevent this but they robbed my family of $350 And they are only willing to refund $35.00 Were going to move our banking to ***********Addition Financial Credit Union

THEY ARE AWFUL. twice theyscrew me over in fees and do not care to fix it. First as a student at *** when their own teller made a mistake they didnt care to fix it and I had to pay for fees as a broke college student. Now as a small nonprofit they lie about no fee accounts, they tell you the checking is no fees but require a savings account that has fees for under $250 as a nonprofit we dont always have the money that is the point of no fees. now they are taking all of our money for fees because we were under $250 and wont resolve it. I was also misinform this info signing up as the agent was new. awful customer service I will never bank with them again. All the rebranding and they still are a scam.Addition Financial Credit Union

The customer service is greatly lacking. I left my ID at this branch and came back the next day to the drive through. I watched multiple cars get serviced while I didnt. So I went inside and spoke to a *** who was very rude about giving back my ID as there was a line and all I needed was my item returned to me. I spent 45 minutes in line to retrieve an ID after being ignored in the drive thruAddition Financial Credit Union

Terrible company. I had a personal loan for 30+ years with ***. Addition finance took it over. No mail, no emails no calls etc. I pull up credit Karma. I see a 70 point drop-it looks like addition finance charges money to accounts without balances on them and I owed them 84 cents. So I call-I asked them to take off the late payment as they saw I had the account for over 30 years and never had a late payment. They said they would buy it would take a couple months to come off my credit (my credit was 815, it dropped it to 735. Well, 2 months later-multiple calls and even a certified letter to the CEO ***** ******-no correction. Yelp, BBB, and ****** all have it correct 1.5 stars out of 5 stars. Do not use this company-the people who write the reviews are correct-check them out. If you need a credit union use Space Coadt Credit union-no fees and 5 years ago I got a 2.5%, 10 year loan for my new home-Space Coast cannot be beat.Addition Financial Credit Union

I had a person loan there-open but with no money on the loan. The account was 35 years old and never a late payment with ***. Addition Finance took it over and subsequently charged a fee even though no money owed on the account. I never received any mail, email nor calls. The way I found out I owed 84 cents was on my credit Karma app. The sent it to the credit bureau that I was latefor 84 cents. That dropped my credit down from 815 to 735. I made the payment-they said they would take the late payment off and my credit would return-it would take a couple of months. The next month credit karma has my credit go down an additional 5 points as they closed my account without my consent.I made multiple calls and sent a certified letter to their CEO ***** ****** whom never responded. So if you think Addition Finance is anything like a home town credit union you are completely wrong-and I would never use this bank credit union.I use Space Coast Credit union over here on the coast and they are brilliant-I get letters and emails about everything-great communication as that is what you want with a bank or credit union. All customers need to be treated with integrity. Today, your customer representative **** and supervisor Mr. **** spoke to me in a manner that was crass at best. After making the difficult and humiliating decision to file for bankruptcy in December 2023, I was blocked from online banking. Today, I went into the branch because I needed copies of my savings statements. She said, I would have to pay $5.00 per statement. I asked her why would they penalize me for having financial difficulties.The response was because I imposed (Addition Financial) a big financial loss. I was in shock that not only was I being penalized but also the insensitive manner in which this matter was being handled. I asked for her supervisor, who was rude, arrogant and would not allow the door to be closed when I asked for my confidentiality. He replied, "No,no the door stays open" He reiterated what **** said about how I caused a loss and I had to pay $5.00. They were arrogant and dismissive. I tried to humanize myself by asking him to look at my payment history and see how I did my best to pay the credit card debt. I paid until my lawyer told me to stop making payments.I had financial hardship and now they treat me as if I committed a great offense. I feel bad enough. I told Mr. **** that I wanted to keep the account open after the car note is paid off and continue the automatic deposits. I mentioned that to him in the hopes to be spoken to in a respectful tone and not be looked down upon or judged. No one needs to remind me that I was financially irresponsible. I went into Addition Financial hoping to get assistance in the clarification as to when I will have access to my account and why am I still being denied access to online banking with a hope that I'd still be able to get the copies of statements I needed; not reprimanded by your employees. I received some of the statements at the cost of my integrity. I do appreciate the copies. I needed them to assure housing. Respectfully, *****Addition Financial Credit Union
