      Horrible customer service. Been trying to close a checking account and working to transfer all my accounts. Of course we missed some and went overdrawn. For the convenience the bank continues to charge $35 convenience fees to help you out. It literally cost them nothing and just makes the bank money off their own members. Even though the money to cover the bills is transferred they will not waive the fees to close the account. Absolutely unequivocally the worst costomrrr service. It cost them nothing to waive the fees and just close the account. But they simply will not do it. So frustrated that this started as an educator credit union and turned into a greedy money grubbing institution.

      Thank you for your review, Mark, we always appreciate member feedback. Our records show that you have had multiple fees refunded on your account during 2022. When you called us on October 29 requesting that we refund 4 of the most recent fees on your account, we informed you that we will refund one more fee as long as you pay the rest of the remaining overdraft/courtesy pay fees on your account. We sincerely apologize that you have not experienced the service that you were looking for from Addition Financial.

      Please explain the detailed reason for the fees associated and why these are charged to members that are already negative in their account. Explain how this helps your customers get back to a positive balance with your company. Explain how this is not simply a fee to make extra money on the backs of hard working families obviously struggling and knowing that they will only accumulate more in effort to get back to a positive balance. Explain how over $140 dollars, this institution is willing to lose a valued memeber for well more than a decade, long before it was known as addition financial, A choice my family had no say in when it changed from an educators credit union, in business to help educators, to whatever this is now. Please explain any of this in a way that makes it seem like this is the right thing to do. Explain how the far easier, customer friendly thing do would be to waive the remaining fees and close the account as requested so this doesn't continue to happen to a valued member of your institution. Certainly my more than 10+ plus years of membership and money that has been with you, making you money, is worth more than this petty argument over $140. Please explain in detail and make it make sense or finally make the RIGHT decision for your customer. Please. Thank you.

      Thank you for your reply, Mr. *******. Our records indicate that on October 17th, we received a call from you requesting courtesy pay fee refunds. During the conversation, the representative reversed three fees you were calling in about as a one-time courtesy. The representative did inform you this was the last time we would provide any courtesy refunds unless it was a credit union error. Your acceptance of the refunds indicates you were fully aware of the potential of fees moving forward. The transactions processed after the 17th were authorized by you through your checking account where Addition Financial paid these charges with no funds to debit from your account. A transaction from Filorep.com on 10/29 occurred in which that fee was reversed due to fraudulent transaction. Our service fee schedule is posted on the Addition website clearly stating that Courtesy Pay overdraft comes with a $35 fee. We never want to lose a member and we hope you will reconsider paying the fees associated to charges you authorized. If you still require clarification as to the status of these charges and your account, please give us a call back and a team member will do their best to assist you.

      Again it's shows this institution is far more concerned with getting money for nothing from their memebers than helping them. Continued disappointment that none of the previous questions I posed were a answered but certainly not surprising. I will ask once again to have my account closed and the remaining 3 nonsense fees removed so we can move on from this. There is absolutely no justification provided for these fees and need to just be removed. All charges that hit the account that are valid have been paid and the account should considered up to date and closed. I ask once more for this institution to do the right thing over $105 now. Do the right thing close the account!!!!
