Very bad experience at this college. Im still very traumatized from my time here aside from one person who did nothing traumatizing towards me. First off the staff always got into my business even if they could tell that I was really uncomfortable and didnt want to talk. On top of that, they tell parents about every little thing including grades, and that goes against FERPA. No wonder why my mental health got even worse at Beacon. Also, I got bullied a lot here and nobody did anything about it or cared except for Dr. ******** Staff members laughed at me and told me there was nothing that they could do about the bullying. What kind of college is this!? It feels more like daycare than college to be completely honest. So please let Dr. ******* know that hes doing a great job and to keep it up and Im disappointed in everyone else who isnt in the ************************************* Ive witnessed both other classmates and other students getting humiliated by professors in the classroom. Professors should not be yelling at and/or humiliating students because that is uncalled for, especially if those professors dont get held accountable for their actions. Not only that, but Ive witnessed and heard from other students that some professors give out punishment work to punish the class if the professor is in a bad mood. If professors are in a bad mood, they should leave their attitude at the door before entering the classroom. Also, the counseling center broke confidentiality twice without my consent and that made my anxiety go up really high. I feel like staff always watches students really closely and dont mind their own business. Were in college, not in daycare, not in preschool, not in elementary school, not in middle school, so I dont know why staff has to be so nosy into students lives! If it doesnt hurt anyone then what students do should NOT be staff members business! Im very disappointed in Beacon College. I thought that they were better than this.
