  My whole experience with them was awful, except for the estimate. I scheduled an appointment for the estimate, and they showed up as scheduled, and I got a proposal the next day. I accepted the proposal. With the discount they gave, it was the best one we had gotten . We received an email with a scheduled date that was not convenient, so my husband called to reschedule for that Friday. They said they could do that. Got another email with the Fridays date and time for 7:30am with a 2-hour window. My husband took a vacation day to be home. Friday comes and after an hour no one shows, and he calls. They tell him the appointment was for the next Friday and that they had sent him an email. They did and that's our mistake, we didn't notice the date was for a week later than he asked for. Now the appointment date comes. We are scheduled for 7:30am again with a 1–2-hour window. Its 10am and still no show. I call and I am told its going to be 12:30 before they can make it because they are working in Bithlo, I should have gotten an email. No I did not get an email and it would have been more courteous to get a phone call. They can call many times about the estimate and how we are going to pay but not to let us know they will be much later. The email states they will be back in touch if there are any issues affecting our appointment. My husband took yet another day off work for this. We decided to contract someone else. 3 other tree company's with Arborists told us the tree had a fungus and was sick, it was dying. Cutting it down was recommended but trimming it for hurricane season could be done also but we would just be spending more money in the very near future. J&J's neglected to tell us the tree was sick so the money invested to have it trimmed would be wasted when it died and then can't be punctual, this made us very leery about them doing the work. I feel like they are not a trustworthy company and definitely not A+ in customer service.

  I have used this company twice, with exceptional experiences both times. Removed a Magnolia grandiflora in front yard and ground the stump. Did not even break the irrigation system. Second job was a 50 foot dead Southern pine in the back yard. They brought their 60 ton sky crane and cut tree into three pieces, lifting over roof and putting pieces into large truck waiting in front road using another claw type of equipment. Over a million dollars of equipment used. They arrived at 7:09 AM and left 8:45 AM. No trash or pieces of tree left behind. Crew was 6 men with headsets built into their hardhats communicating with each other so they could optimally coordinate. Very reasonable price. We would highly recommend this company for any of your tree service needs. 5 and one-half stars !

  I had a terrible experience with J and J. I signed a quote with them after they looked at photos of the stump and we scheduled a time for the work. The day of the scheduled work, they called to let me know the stump grinder was sick. We rescheduled for two weeks later and two days before the appointment, they called me to say they decided the job was bigger than they thought and that they needed to double the price. Obviously I will never be using them again.
