  A number of their guidelines are either terrible, or in such a grey area that even their own employees don't understand them. I went to my dr for an STD test after being drugged and taken advantage of. I believed that this Christian company would help me out in this terribly traumatic situation. Instead, I got stuck with a $3500 bill, after they gave me less than $300 in discounts. I was enrolled in the $9000 tier, where after I pay $9000 towards my medical bills, they are supposed to cover the rest. I then learned that these STD tests did not count toward this $9000 total for reasons that still do not make sense to me. This meant that if I incurred more medical bills during the fiscal year, I'd STILL be on the hook for $9000 before they would help me out.
  
  I tried many times to appeal this decision. Most of the customer care people I talked to seemed almost robotic, asking me to download their app after I shared the most traumatic experience of my life with them. I eventually spoke to a supervisor who elevated into a shouting match with me and told me "it is what it is" when I told him that, while I was clean of any STDs, I was traumatized on that night and was still dealing with that.
  
  The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because, when I lodged a complaint against this gentleman, everyone I spoke to was incredibly caring. They did an internal review of my phone call with this man and assured me that re-training would be occurring.

  Medishare/Christian Care Ministry has been a blessing for me. It has been affordable for me. It has given me the piece of mind I had a plan to help w medical expenses when they occurred and that when I didn’t have medical bills that my money was being used for those that were in need. I’ve been with them for over 10 yrs now. Customer Service was always great, prayerful, always explained things I didn’t understand.

  We are a family of 4 and haven't had to use our Medi-Share coverage much - Praise Jesus! We searched out this coverage over 10 years ago because regular health insurance coverage was way too expensive (we are self-emloyed) and we were too old for catastrophic coverage (the health care system at the time only allowed those under 25 years old to have this coverage). This is an affordable option for our family and eventhough it doesn't cover everything, we don't mind it because we are paying a MUCH lower price monthly for coverage. This company has Christian values and prays for any requested need at the end of every phone call. I can call for any reason and not feel silly for asking a simple question. We are very thankful for this option over the years!

  It is a scam! They misrepresented the facts about their network of doctors. I specifically asked if my doctor and my husband's doctor were in their network and the representative said "Yes". They were not so now, we haven't gone to the doctor in a year. Having joined Medi-Share, we were then not eligible to get on the ********** **** ****** ********. Can't wait to be done with Medi-Share.

  Hello Lana, Medi-Share apologizes if you received conflicting provider information. Provider affiliation is updated by the individual networks and not by Medi-Share. Your region now has a new provider network called First Health.   They are cheaper than other insurances. If you have a problem with a bill they work for you in fixing it. They are Christian based so we don't worry about what our money pays for. Customer services are friendly and helpful. They will also pray for you.
