      The physician at this location (***** ******) prescribed a medication to me that I am allergic to. When I called back and tried to explain this the lady on the phone asked me in an accusatory tone if I told them I was allergic to it. I said that I filled it out on the forms and that it was also confirmed with the employees that attended to me. The woman on the phone said it wasnt her problem then and transferred me, which I then immediately was hung up on. I called back twice and both time after the phone was answered I was hung up on. Since I live close by I drove there. As soon as I got there (within 5 or 10 minutes )I noticed the phone was off the hook. The woman behind the desk was immediately aggressive and highly unprofessional to me. She acted like she wanted to fight me. I explained to her that I will deal with the other woman behind the counter. She then started yelling at me to which I asked her for her name (****** *****) & explained to her that she is very unprofessional. The other woman behind the desk helped me get a new prescription. Ms. ***** left the front office & immediately the other woman apologized for her behavior and told me to please file a complaint since I am not the first and should report her. I would like a refund of my copay ($75) since I was treated so rudely & unprofessionally. Ms. ****** failed as a health professional. If I had taken that medicine I wouldve ended up in the emergency room. Ms. ***** shoul NOT be in that line of work. In the health industry you are often dealing with sick, confused, elderly or even scared individuals. Her unprofessional and **************** was uncalled for. I want a full refund since the whole ordeal was horrible and completely uncalled for. I have never been treated so poorly and it scares me to think that they consider their practices there to be allowed in the health industry.

      We have investigated this complaint internally and do believe that there are some areas of improvement listed in Ms. Franck's complaint.  We have decided to refund her copay to acknowledge this and for the inconvenience of having to return to the clinic.  MedFast Urgent Care is determined to providing quality care with our employees exhibiting wonderful customer service from start to finish and we see that did not occur here.  We will be speaking with the individual at the front desk regarding customer service, in hopes there will be no issues like this in the future.  We appreciate Ms. Franck bringing this to our attention.

      I would like to know when I will receive the full refund for my copay. As of today it’s been 4 business days and due to the unprofessional way they treated me during my visit, I would like an actual date or timeframe to expect this refund. It’s sad that I need to request this but in all honesty, I don’t trust them to do this. I would like this information sent to me from Medfast before I accept and close this complaint.

      I went to MedFast on Monday 7/1/2024 to get an *** I handed them a slip request stating I needed approval with a signature on the slip for the **** I thought the message was clear. It was not made aware to me that they would not be able to give me the approval needed. They made it very clear that my insurance could not pay for the service tho so I paid for the the *** as I needed the approval. After The *** I got in my car and noticed I never got a signature on the slip and immediately went back inside the building and asked if I was approved or not and if they could sign. They THEN informed me "oh we don't read the ***s" I was shocked. What did I pay for? A paper with squiggly lines on it? They told me "we usually just take the tests and your pyschiatrist will read the results." I had to double check I heard that right so I repeated it. "My pyschiatrist knows how to read an ***?" And they assured me that yes that was the case. To no surprise at my appointment 2 hours later my psychiatrist infact did not. Handed me a new note asking me go back and have them to sign to read their results. I went back Wednesday 7/3/2024. The nurse at the counter was not the same as Monday and had so much attitude I had to restrain my anger and tears when she informed me that the nurse who took my *** scanned them into their system wrong and what I paid for was saved incorrectly so I couldn't get a clear copy to have my results read by a professional elsewhere. So much untrained professionalism and people working machines and not knowing what they are doing calling themselves "doctors" it's a wonder this place is allowed to be open and these people have licenses.

      Good afternoon, I would like to respond to the above complaint.  Medfast Urgent Care was given an order, from a physician to do a service that was provided to the patient.  When a physician or medical provider gives us an order, we provide the service and give them what was requested.  If the patient was being seen for a physical examination (full assessment from a medical provider) we would feel confident signing the ***.  In this case the provider sent an order which means, they "know" the patient well enough to clear or not clear the *** based upon their full assessment.  I apologize for the misunderstanding and for the negative experience at our front desk.  Our self-pay rates are posted in the lobby at all locations so that payment is understood prior to being seen or treated.

      I unfortunately disagree with you. I made it very clear to everyone exactly why I was there and my attachment of my Dr **** stating the request for the *** was handed directly to the staff members on site. It also is very clear that the *** needs to be read.

      I was taken advantage of by under trained "professionals" 

      Again, i didnt mind paying for the service. If one was provided. Which it wasn't.

      This facility is not staffed with doctors but with a nurse practitioner operating in the most unprofessional manner possible. If you're ill for example running a high fever for days and you visit the urgent Care facility. The center in **********'s nurse practitioner failed and diagnosis and providing the safe medical treatment. She told me"you don't have meningitis I can tell because your chin can touch your chest" from what I understand it takes a spinal tap to verify meningitis. That was the start of the unprofessionalism on their part. Professionalism deteriorated from that part on till I decided to just walk out. I thought I was dealing with a clown of someone supposed to be trained in medicine. And talking to some friends of mine I found out that another coworker of mine went through the same thing they almost killed her with their incompetence. She made three visits medfast health centers in ************** and then drove herself to the emergency room of a local hospital where they finally saved her life. It's pathetic that these folks can't even do a simple white and red blood cell count. And that they think they can diagnose meningitis without the proper lab work. They became very defensive and aggressive when questioned. I am not a doctor but I am a senior scientist I know a little bit about science and chemistry I know how to read a strange as it may seem there are people that still read.

      Medfast Urgent Care Centers has 17 locations in ******* and ***************  We staff a variety of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers at our locations that are extremely competent and knowledgeable.  Our medical professionals deliver quality care and compassion to over 200 thousand citizens within our communities every year.  Our medical providers handle acute and urgent care needs on a daily basis and are quite skilled in recognizing treatment plans based upon the needs of the patient they are assessing.  We had a chance to review the documentation of this particular visit and it was determined, the standard of care was met.  We apologize that this patient felt otherwise, but this provider did her best to listen, assess and treat the patient appropriately.  We cannot always give into the demands of irate patients and sadly this patient became disruptive during his visit.  The disruption was unfortunate, and we require that patients be respectful and consider other sick or injured patients that are also being cared for.  We have requested that our billing office give this patient a full refund, in return we request that this hostile patient not return to any of our locations. ***********************, CEO

      I went in the last 3 months because I was not feeling good, the first doctor prescribed me meds and they didn’t help, the second dr told me that it wasn’t a head cold she said it was all asthma I spent over 100 dollars getting my meds then to find out it was a head cold like I tried telling her. So I wasted all that money on medication I did not need. It took me coming 3 times for the dr to get it right

      I am responding in reference to your recent complaint
      regarding your visits here at MedFast.  Please understand you were seen on 3 different occasions over a 6 week
      period and each time your symptoms were a bit different.  It is our job to treat each visit in relation
      to your current signs and symptoms.  Upon
      review of your medical record our Medical Director did find that the care given
      was appropriate. It was also noted during each visit to our urgent care that
      you were instructed to follow-up with your PCP.  I understand your frustration related to the cost of the medicines but I
      did want to add, during the 3 office visits you were only financially
      responsible for one $50.00 co-payment.  The first visit was no charge due to us ruling out COVID related
      symptoms and the same goes for the third visit.  After review we do find the care appropriate and ultimately the cost of
      medication is determined by your health insurance.
