      Lucky to even get a one star. My stepdaughter and stepson were seen. My stepdaughter had tested positive for strep, they treated her. HOWEVER, They treated my stepson without even swabbing him. Im not sure if insurance covers that or how that even happened but I ended up bringing him to his own pediatrician in the next day to find out that he was negative for strep They should not be prescribing medication without knowing an actual diagnosis there was nothing wrong with him he was just playing hooky for attention however I did not find that out until after he seen the pediatrician at his normal doctor office

      My wife was seen post-op in hopes of obtaining pain medication less potent than the Oxycodone prescribed at discharge. (Even though the Oxycodone was cut in half , it was still too strong) We went to Urgent Care since it was the week after Christmas and the Surgeon's PA and her PCP were unavailable and no one was "on call' for either. (That's a different issue....) The above objective was explained at both check-in and when having vitals taken in the examination room. The PA entered and said nothing could be done since pain medication was only prescribed for factures and suggested we go to the *** This did not seem to be a viable and cost effective alternative.This visit where nothing done other than take vitals resulted in MedFast billing our insurance $200. We feel MedFast's pain medication policy should have been known and explained to us at check-in or no later than during vitals check to avoid a $200 "visit" for nothing.We received a bill with a statement date of 2024-01-22 for a co-pay of $31.20. The statement indicated insurance adjustments and payment. The $31.20 was promptly submitted on-line using our Credit Union's bill pay system which indicated payment would be received no later than February 9th. We received a "delinquent" letter on March 9th dated March 6, 2024 with a threat of collection action if the balance was not paid within 20 days. The letter contained a billing inquiry phone number and email address.Email was sent to the provided address on March 10th showing proof of payment submittal to be delivered by February 9th along with a copy of the delinquent letter. We requested that MedFast acknowledge receipt of payment by responding to our email or via USPS.Follow-up email was sent on March 12th requesting acknowledgement of our email(s).There has been no response to date; March 14, 2024.It appears MedFast is in dire need addressing billing procedures.

Unfortunately, we do not have a way to always know on the backend that a full visit was not complete. We also do not see any other means of communication stating this information about your wife's account and this is the first we are hearing about this. We have gone ahead and sent a voided claim to your insurance company, so they will be receiving the money they paid for the visit back.
