Bought a car that uses this after market warranty company. Car was leaking fluid, running hot and smoking. Warranty company requested engine be tore down to point of failure. Once that was completed, warranty company requested part to be machined to give diagnostic to problem. Mechanic shop attempt to tell the warranty company multiple times that the car needed an engine. Warranty company sent inspector to check engine, inspector agreed car needed new engine and sent samples and info to warranty company. Warranty company then states they will only pay to fix head gasket, which is not the problem of the engine. Head gasket was machined and is fine working order. Mechanic shop continues to tell warranty company that the engine is bad and the car needs a new one. Mechanic shop does not feel safe completing work on the car that will not resolve the issue. A new engine is covered under the warranty package that was purchased. The warranty company is not agreeable in listening to the mechanic shop and is continuing to waste time and not fixing the actual problem with the car. We have paid $192.40 for a tow the warranty company should have paid as well as $650 to the mechanic and $220 to get the part machined

****** has reviewed this matter and appreciates ****************** reaching out.  During diagnosis and inspection, it was verified that the Vehicle's cylinder head and head gasket required replacement, which ****** approved.  No other failures to the Vehicle were verified and, therefore, the cost to replace the entire engine was not necessary.  The contract does not permit replacing parts that are not failed, so ****** was unable to approve the cost to replace the engine as it was not necessary for the repair of the engine.  ****** cannot approve any additional parts without the verification of other failed parts.

I am a new customer with them and have only had my vehicle (2018 **** Fusion) since 12/23/2023. My car started having issues the first week of June this year, specifically speaking the last week of May 2024. I contacted, notified the issue of the transmission going out. They set a service call to have a tow truck driver come that same day. The website provided had glitching issues to track and when I called back somehow they didn't see that I called for one to happen. After 2 days of the run around, I paid for triple A membership to tow it down the street to the **** dealership. A full 3 weeks went by and nothing was updated with both me and the dealership of the part. After a month of waiting, the vendor had a technician come out to see the vehicle, and I was told they needed to see it in order to see if it was worth being covered for by them. They finally sent the part after 3 days of waiting, and the transmission that was sent stated by the dealership was it was refurbished and made a "knocking noise". The vendor was notified after several attempts of calling every day for an updated to get told by them that they need a video of it to see the video was sent, the vendor said they couldn't get the video and the dealership even offered to FaceTime but no luck just a long wait. As of 7/31/2024, my vehicle is still in the shop and received an update by the dealership that there seems to be an issue with the vendor trying to drop the claim after 2 months have gone by of this and continues, no effective success with this company. They advised that it would be the Torque Convertor that would need to be replaced, but till this day we are still waiting on the vendor to state when it will be sent and when the dealership will to receive it. I have lost my second job behind this. I am walking and riding the bus just to make it to my first job overnight in unsafe conditions, which leads to spending funds for *********** plus my 7yr old is starting school soon again.

****** regrets the frustrations with the claim process that **************** has faced.  As stated, ****** approved the cost to repair the Vehicle, but the repair facility had a problem with the replacement part and it has not heard back from the vendor that sent the part to repair the Vehicle.  ****** will reach out to the vendor to follow-up on this matter to get the claim progressing.  ****** regrets any delays in this process.

The car is still making a skreaching noise before shifting in higher gear and after driving the car with now 99k miles on it the car had a complete ***** shake and as of this morning has turned out to be like this. No accidents. Nothing showing on the dashboard of any warnings. It just gave out.

****** appreciates Ms. ****** reaching out, but is somewhat unclear as to her complaint.  ****** approved the repair to the Vehicle's transmission and transfer case.  The repair facility submitted an invoice on August 22nd evidencing that the Vehicle was fully repaired; ****** paid the claim as authorized based upon the repair facility's indications that it had repaired the Vehicle.  It should be noted that the Vehicle repair came with a 3 year, unlimited mileage warranty.  ****** has approved and paid the claim, so is unclear to what else that it can currently provide for the claim.

I purchased a car in December 2023, the transmission went out in May of 2024. I contacted the extended warranty company, they said it was covered and I had to file a claim. The car (2018 **** fusion) was towed to the **** dealership where the dealership tried to get in contact with the warranty company for over 3 weeks to get the parts necessary for the repairs. Finally after 24 days they agreed to send the parts. Another 2 weeks go by before the dealership receives the part. Once they do the dealership finds out the part is also faulty! So they sent it back and filed a claim for another part. Its been another 3 weeks and we have yet to get the part or have the warranty company contact the dealership! We have been without a car for over 2 months now for a job that was told to take 5 days! *** lost a job due to the fact I cant make the commute to work! My kids start school in 2 weeks and I have no way to get them there! This has put a serious strain on my household! I need this issue to be resolved as quickly as possible!!

Bought my car and after 3 months I need a new motor and I pay 90 dollars a month for this warranty and they are not willing to work with me even tho its under my warranty, and was very unsatisfied with how they talked to me over the phone. I have my car at a very professional dealership and they even say how the warranty is very bad and not helpful at all. I took it there about a week ago to get looked at and they found the exact problem with the car, but once the dealership told the warranty company they warranty company is making me pay for a tear down of the engine in order for them to pay for the repairs ($19,000 in repairs). The price for the tear down is $4,000 in labor fees, which the warranty said they will not cover even though they are requiring it. Even though the problem is already known and they are requiring it, the warranty company said they may not even cover the repair costs even after the tear down.

****** appreciates ************************** inquiry into his contract.  ****** has received two claims under the Contract.  The first was approved and paid for July 11, 2024.  On July 18, 2024 a new claim was initiated under the Contract.  Following inspection of the Vehicle it was confirmed that the Vehicle's piston rings needed to be replaced but nothing else needed to be performed to the Vehicle.  The repair facility would not provide an estimate for the Vehicle repair, only requested an entire replacement engine, which was not necessary based upon the verified failures to the Vehicle.  ****** requests the repair facility reach out to ****** claims department to assist with this matter further.

I am rejecting this response because:
I am extremely disappointed with the help myself and the dealership has received from my warranty company. They did submit a payment for spark plugs and 3 coils, however that was not the entire problem with the car. So I contacted a new dealership where they instantly found the problem, so the warranty company was notified. Even though the problem was found, the warranty company would not accept that and required a breakdown, which they told me they would only cover two hours of (thats about $200 of the $3,700 teardown fee). It just doesnt seem morally right to force someone to do a teardown after the dealership already found the problem, and then not pay for it. Then, after the teardown and the inspector came in to take pictures of the problems, the warranty still said they would not pay for the costs to repair it. So now the engine is torn out of the car and just sitting there. Also they said to you guys that the the garage did not send a repair bill but that is incorrect the did everything the warranty company asked and are not helpful at all. And they are just saying they want to get just the rings but the professional at **** said that will not do it that it is too bad to rebuild it.
    Sincerely,

    *********************************

****** appreciates ************************** frustration with this process.  The Contract only authorizes the approval of covered repairs for parts that are confirmed as failed.  In this instance, only the piston rings were identified as failed, and they are able to be serviced without replacing the entire engine, as per ****** own specifications.  We regret the repair facility is advising him differently, but this is a confirmed repair and all that ****** can authorize.  ****** hopes to be able to assist in this matter further.

I am still not accepting this response, I am very disappointed through this whole process with my warranty company they have been very difficult and over the phone I was told multiple different things from different people from wynns and its now been 2 months or so without my car being fixed, myself and my repair facility have been doing everything they told us needed to be done and the warranty company is just trying to get out of having to pay for my repair. Which is exactly why I got the warranty incase anything happened which something did 3 months into me having the car. The professionals at my repair facility which is an **** dealership so they are well understanding of these vehicles have showed me my entire engine and showed me how my piston and rings have failed, the cylinder walls scorched with scratches which are not repairable and multiple other pieces in the top end of the motor that are damaged from my piston and rings failing. The professionals at **** have confirmed with me that they do not feel its right to rebuild my engine because it will happen again and they dont want to do that to me as a customer. I am also in contact with an attorney to further fight this matter because I feel that I deserve what Ive paid for and this warranty company has put my through such a horrible long process that is affecting me life.

We appreciate ****************** business and her reaching out regarding her complaint.  In review, ****** has 2 claims initiated under the Contract for her vehicle.  The first claim was initiated on April 3, 2024, by **************.  ************** reported a failure of the *** solenoid, front wheel bearing and side tank for the radiator were leaking.  Unfortunately, none of those parts are listed for coverage and the claim was denied.

On July 8, 2024, ************** initiated a second claim, reporting that the engine had severely overheated, but could not explain what caused the overheating condition.  ************** did not follow-up with ****** with a cause of failure.  The claim was denied because the vehicle had overheated without  cause of failure.

We regret ****************** frustrations, but the claim cannot be approved as the failures were not listed for coverage under the Contract.  If ************** needs additional assistance, she can reach out to ****** customer service department for additional information.

I tried using this warranty program two time since the purchase of the vehicle on June 21, 2024. Literally less than 30 days ago. The first time was only after three days of having the vehicle. The second time was only two weeks after having the vehicle. I had to pay out of pocket for both repairs. The first one cost $513.02 for repair of the front Wheel Bearing. The second repair cost $570.00 for the Brake Line, Rotors, and Brakes. This warranty was included in my contract in which I was paying for. If at all possible, I would like to be reimbursed. I have since then cancelled the warranty as of 7-17-24 since it would not cover any repair cost. I do have receipts of both repairs which were completed to Knapps Auto Repair located at *****************************************************************. ************. Thank you.

****** appreciates ****************** reaching out regarding her contract.  ****** only has evidence of one claim, not two, but the failed parts identified in her complaint are not covered parts under the Contract.  Therefore, the claim was properly denied and no amounts can be refunded.  It should also be noted that the contract was cancelled and a refund was provided to her, therefore no additional claims can be initiated.

    Complaint: 22002700

I am rejecting this response because:  There were two denied claims not just one. My vehicle was taking to ******* ************** located at **************************************************************** on June 26 and July 9, 2024, for repair. (The vehicle was purchased June 21, 2024) **** times the warranty company was contacted to file a claim and both claims were denied. The first claim was denied because my son was asked if he noticed anything when he purchased the vehicle. He told them he noticed the vehicle shaking on his way to work on June 25th, 2024. Because (per the warranty company) he knew there was already damage so it would not be covered. It was three days after signing the contract with where the car was purchased, three days later.  He did not know there was an issue with the vehicle, which should not even have caused the warranty not to honor their obligation.  The second time the car was in the shop, it was the same thing, it would not be covered. I paid out of pocket almost $1000.00 for both repairs which should have been covered under warranty per the contract. I cancelled the warranty because I did not want to pay for something I knew would not serve any purpose or honor the requests for repairs. Thank you.

****** has carefully reviewed ****************** claim.  During the course of the diagnosis, it was found that the cause of failure was to the Vehicle's rear differential.  ****************** vehicle is still covered under ****'s powertrain warranty, therefore, it is responsible for the vehicle's failure.  ****** recommended that the Vehicle be relocated to a **** dealership for the warranty repair provided by ****.  ****** cannot authorize any repairs that are superseded by a manufacturer's warranty.  There was a later claim for repairs to the Vehicle's light wiring, which is not covered and was denied.

It should be noted that repeatedly ****************** was abrasive, abusive and repeatedly used profanity towards ****** employees who were attempting to assist him.  This is unacceptable and ****** does not tolerate such treatment of its employees.  ****** requests that ************** conduct himself properly when interacting with ****** employees in the future.
