Booked a cruise over a year ago and to find out 3 days
before the cruise that the cruise line decides to no longer dock at a
      port.
Then the audacity for the agent to tell me that I will not receive no
compensation, after I told her I read that there would be compensation.
The compensation is so ridiculous given the price me and my group paid.
This is a spit in the customer's face. I will not be cruising with RCL
      no more.

Royal Cruises must be. hard up on money. Their refund policy ***** and they do not even wan to give the customer a 24 to 48 hour window to cancel and get their money back. This is a bad practice and should be considered.

So I booked my cruise over a year in advance and chose this specific itinerary due to 2 particular stops. It's a May 2025 cruise and in February they changed one of our stops from ************, ** to *****, **. ************ was our main stop we wanted because I could see family and visit one of my favorite places. Contacted customer service and it's because the port was still under construction so it was for our safety....so within their Terms of Service, they owe us nothing. Fine, I moved on. Now 5 days away from my cruise they removed our second reason for booking, *****. Now I completely understand why. And I know it's due to safety and I get that. But I think what makes me most upset is that this 7 night cruise has 2 stops now and only 1 was in the original booking. I called their customer service. They even questioned the 2nd itinerary change on the same cruise and didn't believe me. I had to forward them the original email. Even after all of they and after 30+ minutes on the call with me staying calm/kind the whole time, they said no to ANY compensation. Not even a room upgrade to an empty room. That's just really poor care for their customers. If you have the option, choose another cruise line. I'm stuck going on this last cruise with them.

I booked a cruise 4 months out and placed a deposit. I’m sure it says somewhere that deposit is not refundable, which makes keeping it legal but not a good business practice. I am paralyzed and booked a non accessible room unwittingly online. When I called I was told accessible rooms cost about 40% more because there are less of them. It is what it is. What can I say to that. Regardless, the price change forced me to change my mind and look at another cruise at a later date; however, Royal will not refund my deposit for this cruise. I am disappointed, to say the least, by this business practice and will never sail with Royal. They have 4 months to rent out the room, they WILL rent out the room; and steal an extra $200 from a paralyzed guy while they are at it. I would have sailed with them on my next cruise. Wanted to. Now I will not!

Disappointed before we cruise We booked our cruise on another Royal Caribbean ship in December 2023. The salesman said that we only had the balcony guaranteed option. Dont worry Royal will select your balcony for you fast-forward over a year and a half later we get our balcony assignment for next month, and our balcony has an obstructed view. Apparently this is the thing with balcony guarantee. If youre unfamiliar you will be stuck with this. We tried to call and upgrade we tried to Royal Up and was not successful so after almost 2 years of waiting on going on this cruise, we will be stuck on an Alaskan cruise with an obstructed view. We are so disappointed! We called and tried to upgrade and they said we could pay $11,000 for an owner suite that was our only option or an interior room. All this time we thought the representative had our best interest at heart by saying Royal will select your balcony dont worry Now were finding out we have an obstructed view and we will not be able to enjoy the Alaskan sites that we had planned on seeing. Never again!

Worst Experience of my Family's Life! Left in the Bahama's at port on day one. Was at the dock at 4:00, as was the ship and not allowed on the ship. No one from ** contacted us except an emergency (RC) email. **************** had to send it to an escalation officer to refund $395.84 of the 8K cruise. Incurred another 2K on hotel, car, and airfare to return home. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I was told its ok to travel without passports and when we got there me and my family were denied boarding , kept my luggage inside the ship I was never in and took my personal stuff without authorization, after 2 hours waiting they said they couldnt get the luggage ! Now Im missing one bag after I paid $160 to have it delivered on top of that I lost $4000 of the cruise because they did not credit anything or refund any money, customer service is clueless, theres a huge language barrier (couldnt understand any of the customer service representatives) overall horrible experience! Almost seems like they do that in purpose to keep the $

Utopia Of The Seas, Royal Caribbean 12/13/24, Husbands 60th Family Celebration. Took a year to save and plan to have 4 people arrange time off work. Waves were bad, kids running unattended all over the ship. We reported the unruly children 3 times. I paid for the drink package, I ordered a dirty martini. Bartender very nice, said it was his specialty. I got the drink took a few drinks and something didnt taste right I ate 2 olives. The lady next to me said is that a dirty martini? I sent mine back it didnt taste right. Called the bartender over I said, unfortunately this doesnt taste right something wrong with the olives. He goes over to the plastic container, looks into the olive container and a horrible discovery. It is covered with mold. He runs past me thanking me of making him aware of this and takes the container into the kitchen five minutes later he arrives with a new container and again thanks me. I will never forget the look on his face when he looked in that container he offered me another drink and I dont remember if I took one. I got back to the room, I started to violently vomit and have severe diarrhea. It did not stop until 4 AM. I have never been that sick. I felt I was poisoned. That morning they announced they announced too dangerous to pull into Coco K so we will stay on the boat. I go down to the service desk and I report my experience which they say they cant do anything about. And then I say Im very disappointed with not going to the ************* is there any compensation for not being able to enjoy half of the trip? Told they have nothing to do with weather being bad. I go back up to the room. That afternoon. I get out to get some fresh air by the pool. Unattended kids are there splashing adults as they come under the Jacuzzi. We go over to the Royal Caribbean lifeguards and we report them they chase after these kids. Trip was a disaster, returned home, called twice reported my experiences. Told nothing can be done.

What a terrible experience. I've cruised with Norwegian and Princess before, but this was my first time with Royal Caribbean. Wow, the customer service *****. Generally, the staff are not friendly or helpful, except for Mont and the "washy washy" ladies in front of Windjammer. ** cancelled my excursion without notifying me. No email; nothing on my door. I went to the excursion desk since I received no information about the meetup point or time. The staff at the excursion desk tells me that I received a cancellation letter on my embarkation day. I told him that I didn't receive any written document except the Cruise Compass. He tells me to go back to my room and check again and to bring the cancellation letter. Shouldn't the first response be an apology? He shouldn't tell me to go back to my room to bring him a letter I didn't get (when I went back to my room after my ordeal and checked, there was no cancellation letter.) He told me I should've also received onboard credit for the cancelled excursion. I told him I didn't get that. I showed him my onboard account with $0. He then directs me to *************** I had to wait for a bit because one staff member was helping someone else, and the other staff member was chitchatting with some other staff member. Turns out, that even though I booked the rooms and excursions for our party, they decided to give the onboard credits to someone else in our party. Why would they not give the credits to the person who paid for everything? In terms of food, the food in the buffet and main dining room was just meh. The seafood linguine's sauce was too watery. The Caesar salad was a bit mushy with watery dressing. Overall, the food was okay, but nothing I wanted to eat again. But Mont in My Fair Lady was so kind and ************* don't cruise with royal Caribbean
