They have the parking lot in ********************************************** set up so that you pay on an app as soon as you park, which is not clear at all as people expect to pay after they leave. My car got booted so I had to pay a fee to get it removed. This company does not accept credit card payment or any way of tracking my payment, which is very suspicious. In just my floor of parking, there were 5 other cars in the same situation, confirming how the system is made to be confusing + the payment situation is very weird.Initial Complaint

The "company" called AR Booting *** is an outright scam, plain and simple. I visited ***************** in Downtown ***** on 6/15 and parked in the ********************. Despite paying for my parking at the theaters kiosk and being assured everything was in order, I returned to find my car booted. I paid for parking ($8.35) and was still penalized ($62.50 boot). They monitor the exact moment your time expires and immediately boot your car. This is entrapment. Additionally, they only accept payments through Zelle or Venmo, likely to evade taxes. Booting companies are meant to penalize those who avoid paying for parking, not legitimate customers. This operation should be sued and shut down immediately. They exploit movie-goers WHO HAVE PAID FOR PARKING LEGALLY, knowing they wont check their phones during the movie. Just look at these reviews - it's the same exact experience over and over again: *********************************************************************************************************** It's not the money I care about - as a small business owner myself in ***** these types of scams should be targeted and shut down by the State for intentionally misleading and taking advantage of the public. Nothing about this "company" is legit and they have no interest in practicing respectable business practices.Initial Complaint

Hi,I live in ******* at Met this company boots in the parking garage. My BF has a handicap parking plaque and he can not walk far or fast. Multiple times we have been booted unfairly. Multiple employees dont boot us but recently the owner of the company screamed at us and told us he didnt care he was booting even tho we left the car completely running for less than 10 minutes. Living in the building we were told we had a 15minute grace ******* He screamed at us told us he didnt care and to take it up with the cops. He then said he only was accepting cash. The building tickets you manually within 30 minutes of being unpaid and he said his boot is cheaper than the building. Id rather pay the building by ticket then give him cash. The whole operation sounds sketchy and I have a feeling I will be double charged.Business Response

I called the cops. They booted my car after 1 hour when I paid for 2 hours. After speaking with them last time they asked me where I was from I said I was middle eastern/Muslim. And since then their attitude has significantly change, since then I have recently learned from police that they are white/jewish. I now feel like we am being racially profiled. We called the company and the boot is suppose to be $62. The paper on my car said $65and somethings they charge me $70-75 always in cash or by telling me they dont have change. I never once have received a receipt after asking multiple time and they tell me I will get an emailed copy that seems to never come. I went to every other car that was booted and they all said $62.50. The cops name was office ********. He said he has dealt with this company on multiple occasions and he explained in detail exactly what this employee looked like. (Unfortunately the cops got there after I moved my car and the employee left) but the incident is documented. I will attach photos of everything I have stated above.Customer Answer

On Saturday, December 23, 2023 I parked in a residential parking garage with paid public parking. This parking lot was the same parking garage was located on top of a Whole Foods. My sister downloaded the parking app and the app auto selected the parking lot and she paid for parking. When we cam back before our parking had ended by 30 minutes are car was booted. When talking with the booting company they said that we paid for parking in the same building just different side. The booting company was also aware that we had paid for parking and could verify this claim on their side but since the location was pinged on the other side they still booted the car. With the combination of the parking app and this booting company we saw a total of 4 car with the exact same experience. This shows that they have a ploy to fraud honest and good people. The app pings the wrong location and the booting company gets money out of it.Initial Complaint

This company booted my vehicle in a parking lot where I had a parking pass. On top of that, they told me I could only pay with cash or zelle. We give everyone all our options on how to pay which includes cash, card, Zelle, cash app or Venmo. They choose then they make a payment. They are just upset that they had to pay for violating the rules on a private property. Before going any further on this case I would need to know which vehicle are we talking about. I would need make, model and tag.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I was denied the option to pay by card. This must be included as an option. In addition, I am a member at the boat club at the ************************************* and had my parking pass on the window. I ask that you random audit them in how they have people pay because they did not let me pay with card.

They booted my car while I was legally parked and they told me to call a fake number to check if I was allowed to park there. When they didnt pick up I decided to pay them because I needed my car back. This is a crime and this business should be closed.
