Jan 12 2024 I paid a total of $2500 and then they called me and said they couldnt do the surgery I was upset because I asked before I paid so they emailed me a paperwork for my refund and I put $2500 then I was told my the manager name ***** that they will keep $500 and the coordinator who I was dealing with name ***** would send me another paper he did and after that it should have been refunded this month and I never got it they stop answering the phone and now it sounds like a fax or a weird message and it hung up on you but they owe me $2000Business Response

Good afternoon,
We have a contract that patients sign with our company that clearly states that the $500 deposit fee is non-refundable and we make sure that our coordinators remind our patients of said policy. We kindly ask all patients who want a refund, to fill out our refund form in order to document that the correct amount is being returned to the patient. This patient refused to cooperate with our staff and our policies by not filling out our required refund form. We would be more than happy to refund her money as soon as she fills out the form as per our company policy.

The claims being made are extremely serious and absolutely false, which can be considered as defamation towards the clinic. Our number one priority at our facility is patient safety, patient care, and customer service. Furthermore, we always try to be as transparent as possible with all of our patients and make the effort to communicate with patients before, during, and after their procedure to ensure the quality of the services being provided. The document that this person uploaded was created by a lawyer to protect our business, additionally the document is presented to patients, however, it was never nor will it ever be mandatory for patients to sign as that is against the law. Unfortunately, we have tried to search for this patient in our private system and have been unable to locate her. If more information about the patient is provided, then we can further investigate this situation.

I was supposed to have a cosmetic procedure on March 19, 2024. I was unable to have surgery due to some of the numbers viewed in my bloodwork by the doctor and they informed me that I would get a refund. I paid the largest portion of the cost with Affirm and I paid using two other cards. They have returned the money from the credit and debit card that I used but in order to get it from them I had to do a dispute with Discover and my bank, Navy Federal. But the $5000 with Affirm has yet to be refunded. I have been told continually by different people at The Secret Plastic Surgery that Affirm needed to call them and I know that this is untrue because Affirm stated that is not the procedure. I disputed with Affirm but The Secret would not give me anything in reference to not performing any procedures on me or servicing me in any way. On May 23rd The Secret emailed me a letter when I told them that I was going to make a better business bureau report on them but Affirm states that they have to just initiate a refund in order for me to not be responsible for the monthly payment and The Secret has yet to do that. I was told by the person that answered the phone that they do not take Affirm anymore and they cannot get into the system. This is garbage and I cannot understand why they would be so fraudulent like this when they have not serviced me in any way. It is all lies they are telling when it comes to returning money to perspective patients that cannot have the desired procedure. On April 04, 2024 at 10:49 AM, I was told by my pre-operative coordinator, that I will need a compression body garment for day of my surgery. I was originally scheduled for surgery April 5th, 2024 but due to their payment policy they couldnt take my credit card payment for the balance of my surgery. They still went ahead and charged my card for my garment, my EKG and pre-op package.The garment was never provided to me upon purchase because it needed to be fitted day of surgery. My surgery was then rescheduled for April 26, 2024.On the night of my surgery, my surgeon asked me if I had my garment. I kindly replied no. At this time, their facility was closed, but their operating rooms were still open. He said I will need to wear one the following day since I did not have one provided to me the night of. I arrived at midnight following surgery which made me unable to drive an hour and a half back the following morning for my follow up appointment. I was in a lot of pain and vomiting and had no medication yet because the pharmacy was closed. I communicated this with the office April 27, 2024. My mother was able to purchase me a garment where I was fitted by a store manager. When I went back to The Secret with my garment one asking for a refund, they denied me saying no refund. No one stated to me that their products are non refundable, nor was this statement displayed publicly or on the receipt.I think it is only fair based on FL Statutes ******* and considering all the above events that took place, that I get my refund. I already paid 10k for my surgery , plus $107 for allowing them to administer an EKG and $107 for a pre-op package. I do not agree to return the amount of $160.50 to the patient ******************************* since all the services for which she paid were provided and all her accessories were given. This patient refused to come to our office the day after surgery, and she went home less than 24 hours without authorization from her surgeon *********************************, in addition to the fact that we are taking this case to court for damages and prejudices caused by this patient who on numerous occasions alleges things that are not true, which I interpret defamation, the patient obtained all the services at The Secret Plastic Surgery for which she paid, she was given a Binder that is the appropriate girdle for her post-operative, she was given a follow-up to which she never responded and she was sent proof of This in addition to having recorded calls in my business. I am rejecting this response because my initial request to refund my garment has nothing to do with the CEO's attempt to take "legal actions" against me for so "called lying". I am a mental health professional, a mother of 4 children and a wife and hold myself up to a high standard. My personal counsel has already communicated with her attorney in regards to that matter. I am not looking for an apology, but a refund on a garment, aka "accessory", that WAS NOT provided on the night of my surgery. Under Florida Satutes ******* this facility did not post a sign stating at the point of sale that there was no refund. Nor was it displayed on the receipt, nor verbally stated prior to charging my card. At this point, they practically took my money for free.The surgeon ****************** knew I was being released to my husband, where else would I be "in less than 24 hours?", ****************** actually communicated with my husband and knew I was going to be under his care. I dont know what 24 hours she is talking about, I live in ***************** and did not travel out of the state or **************** to get operated on to be cared for under their "nurses". The surgeon had asked me if I had a garment, and I told him no, even though I had already purchased from the secret a couple weeks prior. Because I did not have my garment, the surgeon instructed my husband to have me sleep on my back to apply compression on the area I was operated on. Due to the timing of my release from the facility (not a hospital), I was too sick to come in the next day. I was unable to get my prescriptions at a local pharmacy the night I was released because it was already past 11:00PM at night. I did not get my antibiotics and pain medication until the following day. Her "recorded" phonecalls would have me stating this over the phone as I was vomiting the following morning, in which they expected me to come in at 10:15AM. I barely got any rest from having so much pain. "Refusing" vs "Unable" due to the nature of my sickness and pain levels is the difference in terminology. How sickening to even say that. Again this has nothing to do with a refund that I am requesting for; the garment WAS NEVER PROVIDED TO ME at the time they said they would. All other services have been paid for yes, and well over 10 thousand dollars that they were lucky to get out of me. I also do not live in *****, they were well aware I was under the care of my husband post op. This is false allegations against me as they have surveillance cameras and I too have record of phone calls and text messages from their previous coordinator who left and can request from AT&T. I went in 4 days post operative and after waiting over an hour and a half I decided to leave and seek treatment elsewhere because my suregon was not even there to begin with. It is within my patient right not to be seen my a medical assistant, but by a medical doctor after having a serious procedure done to better my health. After the way they treated me, the least they can do is refund my money for my garment and leave me alone. This is such bad business and it goes to show here on their history with the Better Business Burear, rated F. At the end of the day, I am a patient and I'm not being treated with the respect and understanding that I deserve.

I was scheduled for a cosmetic procedure in July 2023, abdominal surgery and BBL. I paid for both procedures. I was told by the clinic that they would be canceling one of the procedures. I was then instructed to fill out a refund form for the procedure not completed. I did so and was told it would take 30 days. Since then I have not recieved the refund of $2550. Each time that I call to speak with someone they place me on hold, hang up, place me to leave a message, say the person that I should speak to isn't there. Hi, i had scheduled a mommy makeover for march 9 2023 at the secret plastic surgery in *****, ** with ********************************** and paid the amount of $9,500 plus bought the plane tickets because i live in ************ and also had paid a deposit for a recovery house that they recommended of $250, but in February 2023 i received a whatsapp message from the clinic saying that the Dr has canceled my surgery and that they would refund me the money minus the deposit and an extra $1,000 for cancelation and that the money should be in my bank account from 30 to 90 days, i called them after the 90 days because the refund was not made and then they told me that i needed to file a refund document which they then send me via email and that now i had to wait another 30 to 90 days.Its been over 180 days now since the cancelation and still they havent refund my money and everytime i call the office or email them they dont do anything about it, so i decided to leave a review on their social media and on ****** and they blocked me on social media and then called me to tell me that they where going to send me a document to sign and they will refund my money. I received the document and it only says that i would agreed to delete all bad reviews and will not post any new reviews but it dont say anything about the money they owe me so i did not sign it. And now they say the employee that had my case dont work there but i know for a fact that she still works for ******************* at his other clinic, All i want is for them to refund my $7,500 before i see myself in the need to take the case to the small claims court in Miami Dade.Business Response

The Transaction date was 4/6/23. The issue is that I was going to pay for my daughter to undergo a surgical procedure with this business, so we went to their office for a consultation. My daughter was very eager, and after our meeting with the very rude, insensitive, uncourteous doctor, we went home after agreeing (me not completely convinced by their service but going along with my daughter's wishes) to schedule a surgery. After we left, the office contacted my daughter, not me, who was the one paying, telling her that in order to schedule the surgery, she needed to immediately make a payment on that same day of $500 as a deposit or she would lose the appointment. My daughter, without my authorization, made the deposit payment. However, after making the deposit, my daughter realized that she did not feel comfortable with the way the staff was pressuring to make a full payment 1 day after the initial deposit given that the surgery was weeks away. She realized they cared more about money than care and came clean to me about the deposit. Once we requested a cancellation, they refused even though it had only been one day. They claimed that documentation acknowledging the non-refundable status was signed. However, I did not sign any documentation, my daughter did, without my permission, and the card was mine. My name and signature is no where on any authorization. All I want is my $500 back. Please help. I tried to dispute with my bank and get a stop payment, but when they investigated, the business claimed that non-refundable agreements were signed by me, they were NOT. Given that Im out of town patient, I reach out for the lab work few weeks prior to my surgery only to find out that the surgeon was no longer working there. I was scheduled for surgery with ************************** at the secret plastic surgery. They changed my coordinator without notifying me and the new one I'm assigned to doesn't respond when I try to contact her. I've asked to speak to the office manager and she never called me.They would only respond when payment is involved. I texted their nurse on 12/26/22 after calling the office multiple times and she told me that the Dr is no longer with them and that I can pick another Dr . Refund was suppoes to be direct to my bank account since July the manager *************************** started my refund on Sept 8 2022 of the amount of $2500 to be refunded I've been leaving messages emails and no respond I did send here proof of me refund was going to be giving back to me as promised **** ignore my calls as well keep me on hold for 25 minutes or more and hung up on me I have to call back to talk to ******************************* to see see what's going on with my refund and since then I have not heard anything from the company please help my issue resolve on my refund as promised by *** secret plastic surgery it's been almost 3 month in half since I did the paper work for ************** maybe ******* and ******************************* . just gave me a email saying I was getting refunded back into my bank the moeny since Sept 8 2022 and haven't heard nothing on my refund .
