    I booked a recreational vehicle through a company called Indy campers. It cost roughly $10,500. The customer service has been terrible, and I want to cancel my reservation. It is more than 30 days out fromthe event. When you go on the Internet, theyre cancellation policy shows that you get a full refund if you cancel more than 30 days . They are claiming that the fine print shows that you only get 5% refund. That is ridiculous and unfair. I have been unable to get anybody on the telephone and they only communicate from Portugal on WhatsApp I want a 100% refund in the event that I booked it for is more than 30 days away. What I am asking for is not unreasonable.

    Indie Campers canceled my RV reservation and is refusing to refund the full amount they charged me. I never canceled the booking myself. I have been misled by their website and customer service.I booked an RV with ******************************************* for a trip scheduled several months in advance. During the online booking process, their website presented options between flexible and non-refundable rates. The layout and wording were unclear, and I believed I had selected a flexible/refundable option. Upon booking, I was charged the full amount immediately much earlier than expected and later discovered it was marked as non-refundable.Within days, I attempted to reach out to Indie Campers through their contact form and support system, but it was difficult to reach a real person. Once I finally did, I asked if I could switch to the flexible rate or cancel with a refund since I had contacted them shortly after booking. They refused.What makes this even worse is that Indie Campers canceled the reservation themselves, not me yet they retained the full payment. I also received an automatic email that falsely suggested a refund was being processed, but no refund ever came, and they stopped responding to my inquiries.This feels like a pattern of misleading and unethical business practices. I have since found dozens of other similar consumer complaints online, describing nearly identical situations. Indie Campers is operating in a way that ***** customers and dodges accountability. I am seeking a full refund, as no services were provided and I did not cancel the booking.

    Complaint Against IndieCampers Unsafe Rental ******************** Practices To Whom It May Concern,I am filing a complaint against IndieCampers for renting me a dangerously unsafe vehicle, failing to provide adequate roadside assistance, and refusing to take responsibility for critical safety issues.Summary of Complaint:I rented a Winnebago ***** camper van from IndieCampers in ***********, **, for a one-way rental to ********, **. Despite knowing I would be driving cross-country, they failed to ensure the vehicle was safe. The van had electrical issues, water leaks, and severely worn tires.Tire ************** of Assistance:In ********, I got a flat tire and discovered IndieCampers roadside assistance only covers engine failure.Their help line is a WhatsApp-only number in ********, which was never disclosed.They refused to cover the flat tire repair, claiming I was responsible for inspecting the tires before renting.A mechanic found another tire was completely bald and unsafe, but IndieCampers initially refused to cover its replacement.IndieCampers ********************* Practices:No Quality Control on Maintenance Renters are responsible for routine upkeep, meaning theres no guarantee past repairs were done correctlyor at all.Hiding Negative Reviews IndieCampers only displays 4- and 5-star reviews on their site, misleading potential renters.Immediate Re-Rental of Unsafe Vehicles At drop-off in **********, staff admitted the van was being rented out again the same day, without confirming any repairs.Misleading Roadside Assistance The basic protection plan does not cover tire issues, yet this was never properly disclosed.Resolution Requested:I request full reimbursement for the first flat tire repair and for IndieCampers to be held accountable for renting unsafe vehicles, misleading customers, and suppressing negative reviews.     Rented ** from Indie Campers 12-7-24 pick up to 12-14-24 drop off. Pick up was very confusing. Total for the reservation was paid in full before pickup. At pick up was told another ****** deposit was required until the ** was returned with a refund once the ** was inspected. Receipt for deposit refund was emailed on 12-14-24 but no credit to our account. We have called ******** times without result. Last step was proving we did not receive deposit refund with credit card statements. This is so ridiculous and just want deposit returned. The ** was not cleaned from previous renters. Waste tank was full. Water tank was empty. Gas tank was empty. Had flat tire with no ***** The whole experience was gross and fraudulent. Sending attachments

    Van Rental October 3-6. Booking 2Y1865.When we picked up the ***, it was not clean, and after we drove away and got to our destination, we realized that the registration was expired in June 2023.The *** felt like it was just handed to us and not ever cleaned from the previous renters, there was dirty bedding still inside, there was trash and bags of candy left inside, and the grill that we rented as an extra add-on was missing part so did not work. When we returned the vehicle, there was one gentleman working. He walked around the vehicle and talked to him and told him our concerns about the *** being dirty, and the barbecue not working. He looked at everything and said OK. You guys are all good and then told us we did not need to sign anything and that we were free to go. Two days later on October October 8 I received an email telling me that I have caused damage to the *** and that I owe them around $1450.00 This is absurd, this is fraud and this is ridiculous! I did not cause any damage to that vehicle. I am an honest grown man and I have insurance and if I am responsible for anything I take care of it. In this situation, I am not responsible for it in any sort of way!There is no proof that that is the vehicle that I rented, and there is no way they can be charging me for something that I did not do. I have tried to reach out to customer service and there is no one in ***************** that I can speak to regarding this matter. They told me all my communication needs to be through email. I have tried to find a way to contact the gentleman working at the warehouse when we returned the *** and they told me that is not possible. This gentleman couldve taken a picture of any random vehicle, or this damage was probably already there when we rented it. Also, In the emails They are sending and accusing us of the damage they have the wrong booking number.

    I rented a camper van for 10 days. The camper rented came with a stove, shower, toilet, sink, cabin lights, AC, fan, and heater. None of these amenities functioned. All were tied to a solar batter backup power that was not functioning despite multiple discussions with Indie during the trip and following their step by step requirements outside of the agreement including plugging in to "shore" power every other day. Which also didnt work. They whole trip was a complete bust as it turned into a transport from ************* to ******* to drop off as soon as possible to prevent further electrical failures. None of the money was refunded.

    They said they returned our deposit on June 30, 2024. We called 2 weeks later. They said have our **************** dispute it and refund it. They did. Then Indie Campers said that they wanted the money back. It was the deposit which was over ********.That email address is correct. I dont know why its not being accepted. Id rather sue *******************************************, personally, so that they will have a judgement against them. I just need to know what location is a proper service office, please.

    On September 12th we picked up an ** from Indie campers, with our trip ending on September 17th. We paid ******* for the ** Rental This was the worse experience of my life. I rented an ** to tour the Washington state with my girlfriend and propose. I wanted the luxury of being able to cook, have a hot shower, etc wherever we wanted. None of that happened.First off, the oven didnt work, the microwave didnt work, the only thing we could get to work was the stove. This is not the end of the world, so we made ********, we wanted the opportunity for a hot shower after long days of hiking. The propane water heater never worked, not once, so only ice cold shower available. This was awful. The one time I bit the bullet and took a bitter cold shower, the shower flooded and clogged. Thankfully a guy by us had a snake and we were able to get this fixed, but really?!When I called the support team, they informed me they only have WhatsApp text for troubleshooting and support. I let them know, they told me I could take the rv to a repair shop and pay for it out of pocket. I then would be reimbursed if and when approved in 5-15 business days. So I needed to take time, leave the *************, drive for hours to an rv repair shop, then pay for it myself and hope for reimbursement.I paid an extra 75$ for the kitchen kit. This consisted of 4 plates, a small pot, and a few forks and knives. No skillet to cook on, no cups to drink out of. We returned the ** a day early (the 16th) in the morning since we were eager for a hot shower and a hot meal. We paid 250$ for an ****** so we could have the amenities we were promised with the **.Indie campers offered a refund of 254$ for the issues. I think this is completely unfair. The product did not work at ALL as promised. The support didnt help us at all and took hours to respond on WhatsApp.I believe we are entitled to at least a 50% refund due to all of the issues.

    Our fridge was not as advertised on the website nor did it function. It was an old cooler that had to sit in the middle of *** van ****** All of *** food went bad on day 1 of *** trip and we had to pay for special accommodations due to this issue. The heater made a loud knocking noise. This made it very difficult to fall asleep and would disturb the neighb***s. One person even came to knock on *** van late at night to complain about the noise. Roof vents broken. Both of the roof vents were broken. This created stale air, excessive moisture and a dangerous environment for cooking with the gas ******** grey water valve. We searched everywhere and could not find the grey water valve. It was never shown to us and it was not as described in the ***************** We send multiple videos to roadside assistance and their solution was for me to go under the van and open the emergency panel. Im not qualified to be doing such a thing nor is it safe to be going under a vehicle. Leaking roof vent. One of the roof vents leaked significantly. ***** water was spilled onto *** sheets staining them and making them very uncomfortable to sleep in. Low quality stove. The stove we received was of poor quality. It took nearly 30 minutes to boil water.- The van vents were not working - The wall were leaking with water The van was not as advertised on the website. This is false advertising and I will take this complaint further if not refunded. Videos are available upon request as I can't upload them to this site.
