      My experience with Spirit Airlines was one of the most frustrating and distressing travel situations Ive ever endured. My original flight from ******* (MCO) to ********* (LGA) on June 26, 2025, was canceled due to what was described as weather. I was rebooked for the following day, June 27th, on a 5:54 PM flight connecting through ************. Thats when the real chaos began. Upon arrival in ************, gate staff repeatedly announced that our flight was delayed because there was no co-pilot available. The pilot, flight attendants, and aircraft were all ready. There was no mention of weather or air traffic control delays. Despite this being a controllable delay, Spirit provided no accommodations, no meal vouchers, and no assistance. I was traveling with my child who suffers from seizures. We were left overnight in the airport without her medication, without food, and without waterand I had no money to cover these unexpected needs. We were forced to sleep in the terminal surrounded by anxious and frustrated passengers. There was only one police officer on-site, and he was the most empathetic person we encounteredmore helpful than any Spirit employee. To make matters worse, when I contacted Spirit via chat to explain the situation, I was dismissed. The agent insisted the delay was weather-related, contradicting what we were told at the gate. Even more upsetting, I later learned that other passengers on the same delayed flight were given accommodations while I received nothing. I am left wondering: What set me apart? Why was I ignored? This experience was not just about inconvenienceit was about neglect, miscommunication, and a total lack of accountability. Spirit failed me and my child in a moment when we needed basic support. Im sharing my experience to demand answers, call for better treatment of passengersespecially those traveling with children and medical needsand warn others to proceed with caution when booking with this airline.

      I had a 0645 flight from *** to ********************. I got to the airport at *************************************** by staff. It was the longest line I've seen by Spirit. When I finally got to the front counter it was approximately 0630. The line instructor did poor job of trying to figure out who needed to be urgently help/admitted and just a poor job coordinating the line in general; alot of other people, that day, missed their fight because of the poor customer service. When I finally got to the front counter and was met by the clerk, she checked my luggage into the flight and advised me that I had 12 minutes to get to the gate to board the flight and that I should run. Unfortunately, I ran right into *** and didn't clear until it was approximately 0640 hours. When I got to the boarding section, the flight had already departed with my luggage on board. At that point, there were about an additional eight people that missed the flight because of the poor customer service by ********************** employees. I was rebooked for the next available flight to Ft Lauderdale. Moreover, I was advised as by staff as soon as I get to ********************* to go directly to spirit baggage claims and recheck my luggage for my final destination to ********. As soon as I landed in *********************** approximately 2330 hours, I went straight to Spirit baggage claims. There, I was met by an associate which I unfortunately didnt get his name, I advised him my name and that I needed to recheck my bag for my final destination. He affirmly advised me that I didn't have to do anything and that my luggage will be at my final destination by the time I land. I landed on time, cleared Customs and went to claim my luggage. When I encountered Spirit baggage claims at my final destination, I was advised that my luggage had not departed from *********************** and that it shall arrive on the next day 06/23/25. I am currently stuck in ******** with no clothes, shoes, hygiene products etc.

      I have flown over 10 times in the past 3 months but I've never departed on time nor have I arrived on time-mostly due to bad operations. The customer service is mediocre. I have never experienced such small seating arrangements on any airline before-but spirit takes the title for the smallest. My girlfriend and I boarded a late flight with Spirit and sat in our seats. A short time later an intoxicated passenger 2 rows back began to vomit all over herself. It was obvious she shouldn't have been able to board this flight. The drunk passenger stood up and began to walk down the isle towards the bathroom. It was during this time vomit began to splatter on the passengers in the isle, the floors and the seats. Maintenance was called to clean up the seats and floors. This of course was after the vomit had splatter onto the face and clothes of my girlfriend. This is totally unacceptable in any setting. After a doctor visit for blood test, new change of clothes and not eating tor 2 days we feel that Spirit Airlines owes us not only a full refund but owes us for the mental and physical damage of being vomited on by an unknown passenger. We will be seeking legal counsel for damages and mental suffering. This has been our worst travel experience. My girlfriend had to get a change of clothes on the flight and had to carry soiled contaminated clothing in a bag through the plane and the airport. We spoke to Manager after the flight and she stated complaints needed to be done online.

      Horrible horrible horrible! The said they were going to credit a carry on that I didn’t have but paid for originally. Then turned around and made me pay 100 extra for the bag they said they would credit. So they got 170 for one bag. Because they told me I could bring carry on coming back. Due to me not having one at that time. Now I can’t get anyone to help me after they cancelled my flight and up charged me while saying they would not refund the first flight. This airline as a whole is a complete joke. The workers surpass rude ( the lady told me in my eyes. It’s not her issue. Pay to put my bag under if I want to get on that flight) the call center is a joke. Now you have to write your complaint but you easily took my funds. and they mishandle luggage every change they get. We sat 15 minutes with them giving us different instructions evertime. This is one airline that should be shut down! It’s worse than a carnival the way they ***** *** and take your money!

      My mom had to cancel a Spirit flight and was given a future flight credit in the amount of the purchase price ($188.). When her health changed for the worse and she was unable to use the flight credit, Spirit declined to refund her since the medical issue was separated in time >30 days from the original booking and charge to her credit card. We waited on hold on the phone for a conversation with an agent which took a long time, were then redirected to an on-line chat which also took a long time, and we uploaded a physician's note which we got at the company's instructions - many hours of effort all together - though ultimately were not refunded. We have a flight credit we cannot use or change to another passenger. We were offered no avenue at the company to appeal or call attention to the effects of their policies.

      This airline consistently delivers an abysmal experience. Flights are habitually delayed, punctuality is clearly not a priority, and there is a complete lack of accountability when it comes to addressing their own operational failures. Even basic accommodations for their repeated mistakes are dismissed without consideration. Its a clear display of poor management and disregard for customer satisfaction.

      The airline has predatory practices that are confusing to follow and provide for misleading sales practices. We purchased a discount plan which provided for future bag and seat reservation discounts. They do not tell you when booking through third party sites that passengers need to be booked in a certain way in order to get the discount, nor that through their own website. When trying to cancel the reservation, even if it is the following day, they charge you $100 per passenger to cancel the flight, there is absolutely no reason for this. We do not recommend that you schedule a flight with this airline.

      My wife mistakenly picked up the wrong bag after a flight from Orlando to Richmond. After 5 hours of dealing with non Spirit employees and being given multiple phone numbers that were either in a loop in voice mail or not even the same company. We began to get blown off and told there was nothing and no one the foreign call centers could do, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE after 5 hours!!!!!!

      Ridiculous airline and app. After purchasing bag fees they still constantly ask if you want to buy a bag. I purchased browsing for $10 and it turned out to be a "security shortcut"?? What even is that -- I boarded with everyone else with Group 4 which was on my boarding pass. Just be careful as you will never get a refund for a purchase like this. And it all adds up. No help as their advice does not work and I could not even obtain a receipt for what they told me I had paid for. BUYER BEWARE!
