I contracted with this company on 2/23/22 to build a home. The contract stated a 270 day completion. It has been two years and the house is not done. They are not returning my calls, texts or requests for appointments. I am being threatened by Sub Contractors that they are putting liens on my house. To date I have paid them $177,058.50. The last draw was $31,176.00 paid on 4/20/23. The work that was supposed to be done with that draw is nowhere near completed.

I purchased a home from WeitLund Construction LLC with my closing date being 05/12/2023. When I purchased this home, I was told that I have a 10 year structural warranty, which I had assumed was through WeitLund since they were the ones to build my home. Now, in January of 2024, my neighbor had informed me that my warranty was through a third party, Maverick Builders, and to call them to ensure my warranty was in effect since my neighbor's warranty was inactive. I called ******** and was told they had absolutely nothing on file for my address. I called WeitLund and spoke to ***** who stated that she is unsure why ******** is saying the bills were never paid and that she is working with ************************* (****), who is one of the owners of WeitLund, to pay the bill. As of today, 2/2/2024, nothing has been paid towards mine or my neighbor's warranty. Please let it be known that chapter 718 section 203 in the ******* Statutes states that it is law for builders to hold a three year warranty on any newly built homes. On top of this, I have been actively emailing WeitLund regarding the immense flooding that occurs in my yard when it rains. No one has ever responded to my emails. I called WeitLund to ask over the phone about the flooding and was told **** would be calling me to come out and assess the property, but he never called. The company, WeitLund Construction LLC refuses to take ownership for the issues on the properties they built and are in violation of section ******* of the Florida Statutes.

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against WeitLund Construction LLC and ****************** regarding a construction agreement entered into on February 3, 2022, for the construction of single-family residences in Marion County, *******. The properties in question are identified by the following property IDs: PID ************ (********************************************), PID ************ (**************************************************************), and PID *****************************************************************).The construction agreement, as stipulated in the contracts, required WeitLund Construction LLC to complete the properties within a "reasonable" timeframe. Weitlund indicated that the process would take 60 days for permitting and 210 days for construction. Unfortunately, WeitLund Construction LLC is in default of the contracts, as we are approaching the two-year **** in January 2023, and the house is nowhere near completion. Additionally, I have received multiple liens on the properties from vendors that WeitLund has failed to pay, compounding the issues at hand.To date, I have paid WeitLund Construction LLC a total amount of $337,237. The agreement specified the construction of one house at a time, with the funds allocated to the first build (PID ************, "*********************************************************"). The total cost to build the first home is $250,944. Regrettably, the first home remains incomplete, and WeitLund Construction LLC has refused to refund the available credit. Furthermore, the company has ceased all communication, ignoring calls, emails, and voicemails.I firmly believe that WeitLund Construction LLC and ******************, along with their owners, ********************************** ************ License Broker License ********* and ********************************** (Cert Residential Contractor License ***********, are engaging in fraudulent practices by accepting consumers' money without fulfilling their contractual obligations.I kindly request the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action against WeitLund Construction LLC and ****************** for their fraudulent activities. I am prepared to provide any necessary documentation, contracts, or additional information to support this complaint.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will take the necessary steps to address and rectify this situation promptly.Sincerely,*****************************
