1 starI only stayed at Westgate because the Salsa Super Congress was being hosted here. They were running a special promotion which seemed affordable until I realized I was signing up for a one-lifetime-subscription-for-regret.The 90-minute Presentation = Half Your Day Gone This was advertised as a quick 90-minute presentation. In reality? Expect to spend 23 hours minimum. They check you in, make you wait in the lobby, ask you to eat before starting (why?), then bring you into an endless upsell loop where one manager after another tries to get you to buy their product. When you say no, they wont let you leave. They literally block you with sales tactics and pressure. Because of this nonsense, I missed my entire morning plan, including a long-anticipated visit to The Sphere. This isnt a presentation its a lifetime subscription to regret. Please dont fall for ***** Security on Guest Floors There is no keycard access or security on guest room floors. I received multiple flyers for massage and pizza discounts slid under my door every single day clearly from random people walking through the hotel halls. Thats not safe. Any outsider can just take the elevator up.This made me feel uncomfortable.Late Checkout = $45 I asked to check out just 30 minutes later (11:30 AM instead of 11), and they said it would be $45. Seriously?Aggressive Vibes All Around From the staff to the overall vibe, everything here feels like a hard sell. It honestly feels like, because I got a discounted room rate through the promo, I was nickel-and-dimed at every step toothpaste, late checkout, everything costs ******** warmth, no hospitality. Just relentless selling and marketing.I will never stay here again. The only reason I came this time was because the Salsa Congress was here and that event was amazing. But the hotel? Never again.Review fromElsa M

1 starMy husband and I are writing this review to warn others about the absolutely appalling experience we had with Westgate Resorts in ********* in February 2025. Despite repeatedly telling sales representative ***** and his manager that we only had $100 to our name and could not afford a timeshare, they subjected us to relentless, high-pressure tactics that made it nearly impossible to leave without signing. We were fed outright lies about this being a "valuable investment" that we could "easily resell or rent out" when the reality is there's virtually no resale market and renting is extremely complex. They deliberately downplayed or completely hid critical costs like high interest rates, maintenance fees, and limited peak season availability, leaving us completely in the dark about the true financial burden. When we tried to cancel just two days after signing, our calls went to voicemail with no response until they demanded payment - meanwhile, we've never been able to access any promised benefits since we couldn't make the $1,000 payment. The four-day cancellation window is a joke designed to trap people, and their emotionally manipulative sales pitch about "dream vacations and family memories" is nothing but a predatory scheme to exploit vulnerable consumers. This company preys on people's financial desperation and uses deceptive, high-pressure tactics that should be illegal - stay far away from Westgate Resorts and save yourself the nightmare we're still dealing with.Review fromRaymond G

1 starDuring our stay at the Westgate ********************************, we were strongly encouraged to attend a timeshare presentation, despite repeatedly expressing that we were not interested in making such a purchase. We agreed to attend what was presented as a 60-minute presentation; however, the sales team confiscated our IDs at the beginning and held them hostage, extending the presentation to over 3 hours. Throughout this extended presentation, we declined their timeshare offers at least 5 times, yet the sales team relentlessly pressured us with various options and repeated price reductions, wearing us down to the point of agreeing to the purchase. The information provided to us during the sales process was deceptive. We were led to believe that the timeshare would allow us to enjoy stays at the Westgate ******************************** on the Strip for many years to come, making it a long-term investment for vacations with our family. The sales team sold this to us to achieve our dream vacation; however, when we check in, we never receive the room we were shown during the presentation, which constitutes a massive bait and switch. It wasn't until after the purchase that we learned the timeshare didn't include stays at this property until we paid additional fees. We were also misinformed about the stability of the maintenance fees, which have increased significantly since the purchase and have further exacerbated the financial burden we now face. We've basically stopped using the timeshare because of all the extra fees imposed on us, making traveling more expensive than necessary. Having paid more than $16,000 and receiving only 4 vacations is hardly the investment in vacations these unethical salespeople promised. Westgate Resorts presentations reeks of fraud.Review fromLeandra L

1 starMy experience with Westgate Resorts and its associated representatives has been highly disappointing, misleading, and has resulted in significant financial loss and emotional distress. To date, we have spent approximately $13,500 on this contract and have never been able to book a vacation. This has caused severe financial hardship, making it impossible for us to continue making payments to this disreputable company. The sales process was marred by a severe lack of disclosure, including inflating Maintenance Fees, Special Assessments, Truth in Lending and hard credit. Then there is the Perpetuity clause that puts your heirs in financial ***** way by associating them with your financial responsibility associated with the contract. Meanwhile, they neglected to disclose our legal right of rescission per Florida law (10 days). We can not book a vacation to save our lives, yet **** Q Public can rent the same units for significantly less.Review fromTanika W

I booked this trip for my second anniversary, signed up for a timeshare incentive package while at a ****** race last labor day 2024. We were promised ****** tickets to ANY race and $100 in giftcards, as well as breakfast the morning of the 90 minute presentation. We booked our trip for April 2025 and attended the presentation. Of course it ran over well into 2 and a half hours before we were finally allowed to leave. We were sent to the rewards room afterwards to collect our incentives. The only incentive we received was $100 cash no ****** race tickets. The breakfast was basic continental (cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast). I was told to call customer service to retrieve the tickets. I started calling as soon as we returned to the room. They advised me i would receive the tickets via email. Fast forward 37 days and a dozen phone calls, still no tickets and each time I am promised they have escalated ***** addition to the extremely lousy communication and not following through with what they have promised, the room itself was absolutely awful. It was small, dirty, and severely outdated. I would have never stayed here in normal circumstances. They placed us in an area adjacent to the hotel where we had to walk behind 3 small businesses and lots of dumpsters to get over to the actual hotel property.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

When we returned home, as new Members of Westgate Resorts, we booked our first trip. As soon as we secured dates, we were met with a barrage of phone calls offering gifts to attend another presentation. It was in this second meeting that we were told that to stay once a year, we would need to purchase a larger unit for a couple hundred dollars more a month. In October, we were notified of a dramatic increase in the *** fee to over $1,400 per year, with additional changes to our mortgage payment pending a new interest rate. Since then, we have experienced a series of personal and financial hardships, including the illness and subsequent passing of my mother, as well as ongoing care responsibilities for my 94-year-old father who is an Army veteran. When we contacted Westgate Resorts and asked if the timeshare could be taken back, we were told this was not possible and were advised to hire a realtor to sell it, but that was an option we couldnt afford. Eventually, we were offered a change back to the original contract, which we reluctantly accepted due to the lack of alternatives.Unfortunately, it is not enough. We are no longer able to bear the financial burden that this timeshare has placed on our lives, and we pray that Westgate Resorts relieve us of this ongoing obligation.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

I visited Westgate **************************** in Orlando back in July 2024. We did one of their presentations and although we were firm in not wanting to buy based on our prior ownership at another resort, they did talk us into buying 4 weeks, to be used between 2024 & 2027 (one week per year). This happened after the sales****** we were with finally realized that we were not going to buy based on negative past timeshare ownership experience. He had his "manager" come down to speak with us and confirm we were saying no. We said that was correct and she also tried to reduce the amount and offer us a resale unit as well. When we continued saying no, she finally came up with the offer of the 4 week purchase I mentioned above. We did use the first week in November 2024 @ their **********************************. When I went to book my 2025 week this past weekend, I was not able to online. When I finally called them today, I was told that I only purchased one week and that the contract shows that. Both my husband and I very firmly recall what they told us they were selling us because it was a great deal with no commitment to purchase. The cost was $1,495, which I NEVER would have paid for one week. They offered it with the option of buying the timeshare they were trying to sell us at a later date at a fixed price. I did just look at what they gave us, but almost no hard copies were provided which showed everything that we discussed and they wrote down. I have a USB drive with the contract on it. I believe that they did a bait and switch on us and I can't do anything about it. This was a very deceptive thing that they did and I am sure that I am not the first ****** that this has happened to. Nor are we the last. I cannot find any way to contact them about this to file a complaint. I am so angry because I would NEVER spend $1,500 while on my current vacation to buy one week at a future date. That is not a bargain and certainly not anything I would have entertained.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

Dear Ms.******,
We thank you for your patience while we reviewed your correspondence. We apologize for the delay in our response and for any inconvenience this may have caused.Westgates response is as follows.
Ms.******, please be advised that, contrary to the allegations presented, full and fair disclosure of the Vacation Occupancy Agreement (***) purchase was in fact provided on the day of sale. The price lock-in option being purchased included a complimentary stay at a Westgate resort as well as one discounted stay at a Leisure Time Passport (LTP) location as a part of that complimentary membership. That being said, if you have documentation that negates your executed signatures on the documents in question, we encourage you to provide it for further review.
As for your concern regarding the *** thumb drive you received on the day of sale,we ask you to review your Receipt for ***, which shows that you acknowledged acceptance of the copies in this manner. For your convenience, we will be sending an additional copy of this document directly to you via email to the email address on file.
Ms.******, ultimately, Westgates position is that full and fair disclosure of the terms of the *** contract was provided in accordance with all laws. As such, those same terms have been fulfilled by Westgate as agreed within the executed contract.
We thank you for the opportunity to be of service.
Respectfully,

The contract we entered with Westgate Resorts in May 2023 was done so under circumstances fraught with deceptive sales practices and material misrepresentation.During what was represented as a brief "2-hour" presentation on our Orlando vacation, we were subjected to a high-pressure sales environment. We met this opportunity while looking for ***************** tickets during our spring break with our son. We responded to an advertisement offering discounted tickets in exchange for attending what was described as a 2-hour breakfast and informational presentation. Upon arrival at 9am, we were assigned to a salesperson who assured us we would be finished within two hours. Instead, the presentation lasted over six hours, during which we were subjected to relentless sales pressure.Particularly disturbing was that our identification documents were taken from us at check-in, effectively preventing us from leaving when the agreed-upon 90 minutes had passed. This tactic forced us to still be on the premises for six hours, deliberately wearing down our resolve until we bought something we could not afford. This practice of holding guests captive is unconscionable.Westgate representatives did not show several critical elements of the agreement. They did not inform us that this was a lifetime commitment, which is a serious breach of trust and failure to show material terms. Additionally, they did not inform us of the interest rate on the financing, the required membership fees for exchange companies like ******** and Westgate Cruise and Travel, the specific cancellation period for the contract, or the fact that HOA and maintenance fees would increase over time. They repeatedly left the table and returned with managers or supervisors who would cross out numbers on paperwork and write lower figures to create urgency and pressure. Finally, multiple employees claimed that Westgate had an affiliation with ******. This claim has turned out to be a complete fabrication.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

The stress of the mounting costs associated with Westgate Resorts joke of a timeshare has taken a significant toll on my wifes health over the past 3-4 years. We were never given options beyond "in-house" financing for 10 years; were falsely told we could write off payments on our taxes and were misled about the inheritance obligations our children would face. We have stayed at multiple properties including Westgate Lakes Resort in Orlando, Westgate ***************************************************************************** Resort, and Westgate Painted Mountain Resort in ****, *******, and none have lived up to the promises made during sales presentations. The fiscal impact has been overwhelming. Our maintenance fees have increased from $300-$400 per year to approximately $1,700 for 2025. When combining mortgage payments, down payments, maintenance fees, room deposits, transfer fees, and various other charges, we have spent well over $50,000 on this timeshare. For this substantial investment, we have enjoyed only four vacations totaling 28 nights amounting to $1,800 per night. This stands in ***** contrast to their salespeople's repeated claims that ownership with Westgate is "significantly more cost effective than traditional travel." The properties themselves have been disappointing, requiring deep cleaning before each stay. When using the Westgate travel program, we discovered the hotels were not as pictured they were run down and dirty, just like every room we have stayed in at these resorts. We have faced constant difficulty booking at our preferred locations, particularly during holiday periods. Most troubling is our discovery that these supposedly "exclusive" owner resorts are being advertised to the public on third-party travel sites for a fraction of what we are paying. This explains the difficulty in securing reservations and finding parking during our stays a complete contradiction to the exclusive ownership experience Westgate salespeople promised.Central Florida Investments, Inc.
