    This company gets you in at low price through priceline then tacks on way more at pick up. 10min away from airport. Awful experience.

    They are a bunch of scammers!!!! I never even got a chance to get my car because the shuttle never came and picked us up from the airport even tho my flight was on time and I showed up to the correct pickup location. After calling customer service, they lied to me about the driver being on his way or delayed. Which I knew it was ******** because they were only located 8-10 minutes away from the airport. Also told me that my reservation would be canceled if I didn't show up within the hr of the pickup time. But how is that possible if no one comes to pick us up in the first place. They had one guy waiting for the pickup shuttle for over two hrs!!!! Other rental car companies came and went. We were told by other drivers from other companies that Nextcar had no more vehicles left and that's why no one was showing up!! How is that possible when we had standing reservations!!!!

    On the evening of July 5, 2024, my family and I experienced the most negligent consumer experience of our entire lives at the hands of one of this companys employees.This company was obligated to have a rental car available for us to pick up around 10PM on July 5, 2024. After the shuttle finally picked us up and brought us to the car rental site, we eventually met Darlenus. With a frown on her face, she merely asked for our confirmation number. Upon giving it to her, she typed it in and proceeded to tell us that our reservation had been canceled since we were supposed to have picked up the car at 10AM. When I produced our reservation to show her, indisputably, that the reservation was made for 10PM, she told me I was wrong.At this point, it was close to midnight because we had to wait in line after the delayed shuttle pickup. Understandably, our eight-year-old and eleven-year-old daughters were exhausted and couldnt understand why we were being denied a rental car that had been properly reserved. My wife and I asked to speak to ********* manager, and her reply was I dont have a manager. Shocked by such an unprofessional response, I asked for a number for customer service. She rudely handed me a business card with five different numbers on it. When I asked her to identify the one number I should call, she sullenly underlined one.I called the number and eventually was connected to ***************************. He confirmed that our reservation was made for 10PM, not 10AM, and attempted to rectify the situation. However, he ran into difficulty modifying the original reservation, and the delay in receiving our rental car continued. At this point, it was well after midnight, and we finally decided as a family that this company didnt deserve our business.At that late hour, we had to resort to using Uber to transport us to our hotel. Imagine a family with two young, desperately tired children, stranded on *************** at nearly 1AM, waiting for an Uber.

    Worst rental experience ever. Don't do it. Pay Uber or go to another company. Service for 3 people in line took 3 hours. Same employee that checks you in is the same employee that retrieves your vehicle. Imagine that service in person traveling with children. Everything done manually, no automation systems. Very rude employee. One employee appeared to be struggling to stay focus and kept stepping away from the counter to go who knows where. The other employee left when the line long, didn't care to help. Place maybe a scam or a racket of some sort. Didn't bother to wait another hour after waiting 1 hr for the shuttle and 3 hours and online.

    I will never rent from this location again! I waited almost an hour for a shuttle and was told multiple times it was due to traffic. Which was unbelievable because I saw at least 3 other rental car company shuttles come through the terminal at least 3 times! Just awful!

    Tried to rent from them. Their online page stated they accepted my insurance, over the phone, they stated they did not. I swiftly canceled and praying I do not get charged.

    Our experience mimics every negative review posted here. From the nonexistent "regular shuttle" to the originally undisclosed fees and surcharges - compounded DAILY throughout your rental period - NextCar is a nightmare.I feel for their employees. The amount of abuse and embarrassment they experience over enforcing money grabbing policies they had nothing to do with creating must be staggering.

    BEWARE!! RED FLAGS!! SCAM OPERATION!!We had to wait at the airport for over an hour for a pickup to the rental lot as apparently they wait until they have at least 10 customers lined up and then they send out the van to save on gas. Then they make you wait at least 25 minutes at the counter to check in as there are only 3 booths with their employees more busy chatting within themselves rather than helping customers. Lastly they scam you on the administrative fees of $14.99 per day plus the tolls even though you have your own transponder pass and they happily tell you to go ahead and use your pass and you will not be charged a ***** until a week later after you have returned the car, you get a charge on your credit card for $150 They are very discriminatory, racist and try to profile you as per their limited thinking. i'm also sending a copy of all this to the Governor of ******* *********************** to let him know how tourists are being ripped off and scammed, being discriminated against and lastly being profiled by their staff like ************ who are so lazy and incompetent that they don't even bother to open the file before answering a complaint and just go ahead issue a verdict that the customer was from ******, paid in Pesos etc. etc. Horrible and awful service and they lure you in with their cheap prices and then you find out their cheap tactics and even cheaper employees like ************who will just assume that since he is from ******, so is everybody else and so treat them like a lower class socially as he seems to be above them and speaks very condescendingly and looks down upon you with his arrogant attitude. Please stay away from this scamming operation unless you want to get caught up in their spider web.

    This company is garbage. We booked and they said they were open 24 hours. We arrived at the airport at 2am there was no shuttle and they would not answer the phone. When we finally got ahold of them the next morning they said they overbooked and there was nothing they could do.

    THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY THE GOOD The initial price is right. I got an 11-day rental for a quote of $329.89. The car was new and in great condition. The experience of booking -- for me, via the ****** app -- was effortless.The feeling of finding a bargain was immense.They give you a link to a video that illustrates the procedure you take once you land and gives you a number to call to make it easy.The ****** Sentra was in great shape and clean (the Sentra is one step up from the bottom-of-the-line Versa.)When I returned to the lot, which had been almost empty upon arrival, the cars were packed in with little space to spare. The drop off experience itself was pretty quick and painless. The attendant gave me verbal affirmation that I would get my entire security deposit back. See POSTSCRIPT below for more about that.THE BAD My flight was scheduled to arrive at midnight; it was 10 minutes late. I had an appointment for a 12:30 am pick up and still made it to the appointed pick-up location (I didn't check any bags). I called the number on the video and it said press "1" for a pickup. It then says that a pickup *** frequents the airport every 15 to 20 minutes or you can press zero for an Express pickup. I figured I'd just wait since it probably wouldn't be long. After a half hour of waiting, I called and was on hold for about 5 minutes; the receptionist said that they had delayed the pickup because the flight was delayed. I mentioned that the flight was delayed for only 10 minutes (arriving at 12:10 instead of 12:00 midnight) and asked what was the point of making an appt. I requested a pickup.The *** arrived at 1:20, 50 minutes after the appointed time.The NextCar desk is a ways away from the airport but I was glad that I would soon be on my way.Boy, was I wrong.Next up: THE UGLY See the FULL REVIEW here:*******************************************************************************************************************
