I rented a vehicle for use between 11/11/2023 and 11/14/2023. The vehicle was returned on-time on 11/14/2023. Upon later inspection of my credit card statement, an additional $276 charge was added with no explanation on top of the agreed-upon rental cost. On my first call to the customer service line for this company, there was no indication in their system of this charge (only the original rental amount was present), and so an email to the manager of the site in question was sent by the customer service ********** emailed several hours later to indicate that this was a 'cleaning charge', which I challenged back as being nonsensical since we had returned the vehicle in excellent condition without any garbage present and without any smoking of any kind having occurred in or near the vehicle. I requested confirmation of the exact nature of the cleaning and evidence of the problem. There was no response for the rest of the day, and the following day I sent a follow-up email that was responded to several hours later apologizing for not having been able to get back to me and simply saying the cleaning fee was 'non-refundable' with no other information. I called customer service again and now there was documentation of cleaning due to a 'rotten smell' in the vehicle - conveniently having appeared in their system after I asked for proof as an unprovable assertion, and I am fully aware that there was no such smell in the vehicle upon its return. They have sent yet another email to the manager, but I do not expect the manager will resolve this since they are clearly obfuscating and looking for an excuse to make the charge now. My only request is to have the full amount of $276.63 refunded to my credit card for this fraudulent charge.

November 5th 2023 I rented a car with ADvantage Rent A Car in *********. The employees were very unprofessional and rude, during the car checkout process. We were told that a ****** Altima was too small for 4 people and tried to change our car. Upon returning the car on Nov 7th the shuttle driver Attempted to say that the car smelled like smoke. We did not smoke near or in the car or at all,and had two elderly people with us. She received a second opinion and was told that there was no evidence of smoking and that we were good to go and I would receive a receipt within fifteen minutes. We got dropped off at the airport and went on our way. Later that day my bank alerted me for fraud. Stating ADvantage Rent A Car was attempting to charge me multiple times in the amount of $250. I contacted the office on November 8th and was told by ******* that the deposit was being returned. As of today I have not received my deposit back and called and spoke with a manager and was informed that it would be investigated. We did not smoke in or around the car And I have 4 witnesses. I also did not receive a receipt stating that I was going to be charged. We were told everything was good to go. The amount of the deposit is $250

I booked a 7 passenger van/minivan with advantage. As I arrived to the rental counter, I was told that my vehicle was not available. I asked if there was a large SUV with ample trunk space similar to a van that was available. I was told no. I was offered a small SUV with zero trunk space and I had 7 passengers in which two were toddlers. I had two strollers in addition to luggage that did not fit in the vehicle. I had to put the strollers in the passengers laps to be able to get to my destination. Thats how limited the space was. I had no choice but to accept the vehicle as they had nothing else and I had two toddlers with me. I was told to call back the next day and they would provide me a vehicle and promised delivery. I called back the next day after remaining on hold for quite some time only to be told their systems were down and to call back the next day. In addition to this, the car smaller of cigarette smoke although smoking isnt allowed according to the companys policies. The car was sprayed down with some sort of chemical but not wiped down. With two toddlers and other passengers in the car in addition to being pregnant the car was a health hazard to my family and I. I have reached out many times to find a resolution only to be repeatedly denied. Hoping to find a path forward.

I had a reservation for a car at Advantage Rent-A-Car(*********** on 10/29/2023 at 9pm. The car sales person aggressively tried to sell me an Upgrade, Car Insurance, and EZpass. Renting from Advantage before, I had the needed Insurance on my own policy and had my own EZpass. The sales person, aggressively pressured me to upgrade or he would cancel my reservation(I have car insurance) as I show him my insurance policy the sales person accused me of recording him and cancelled my policy. He told me to leave the property and employee surrounded me and my wife. I call 911 and told the police that I felt threated and left with no place to go in Orlando. The police did nothing but had me leave on the street with my family with no car.

This was such a scary experience that in am hesitant to even visit Florida for some time and never dealing with Advantage Rent-A-Car.

Thank you for time and concern.

      Sincerely,
      **** ***** ************

On October 28th, I rented a car under the confirmation number AEXP0B3C1F. I picked up the vehicle on the same day and promptly returned it after usage. Upon returning the car, the inspecting staff confirmed that the vehicle was in satisfactory condition and allowed me to proceed. However, I was appalled to discover that I had been charged an additional $165.98, broken down as a wet seat fee of $150, plus tax. No evidence was provided. No pictures were shown. If the car has any problems, the staff will point it out when I return the car. However, she chose to charge after I left. This charge was entirely unauthorized and was not communicated to me until I noticed it on my statement. This action is unacceptable and a blatant breach of trust.I kindly request an immediate refund of the aforementioned amount to be issued back to my card. Failure to do so within a reasonable time frame will compel me to dispute this transaction through my credit card provider and share my negative experience through online reviews and social media platforms.I believe in fair and transparent business practices, and I trust that you will take prompt action to rectify this situation. I look forward to your prompt response confirming the refund process.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I rented a car from Advantage Rent A Car on Sept 1,2023. The Invoice # ******** for 3 days in Orlando. The advertised price thru ******* was $22 a day. I videotaped the outside of the whole car since there were many scratches and dents. The sun visor's were down when I looked inside the car. Everything seemed ok. After I left the lot and was only a few blocks away, I lifted up the sun visor and noticed a small chip on the windshield behind the visor. My wife immediately called the company and it went to voicemail. She left a message and the woman called us back about 10 minutes later. We told her about the chip and she said she will put it in the notes about the chip. We returned the car 3 days later on Sept 3,2023 with no problem. A receipt was sent to my email confirming the return with no issues. Four days later there is a charge for $600 plus they never gave me back $250 deposit. After sending them pictures and calling them three times they are saying I owe them $850 for the chip. I feel they gave me this car knowing it had a chip and who knows how many more people they will try and get over with this bogus claim. I called Safelite just to get an estimate and they told me any chip or crack the size of a dollar or less is $159. I've spent over 20 hours making phone calls, sending emails and faxes of pictures and paperwork to Advantage Car Rental, my credit card, ******* and **********. I will also now have to notify my auto insurance company. Oh and that $22 a day somehow was a bill of $165.76 with all the crap they added without my permission. They also may be affiliated with *** rent a car. One of my papers had *** on it. Oh and they have my mileage out as 17,377 when it was actually 17,400 to which I have a photo with a time stamp. Someone must have used this car (employee) and put on 23 miles from the time it was last returned. The image I sent was from a video I took with the agent Sharon. We then went inside and it was another 15-20 minutes before I left with the vehicle.
So I am requesting to get the $600. and the $250 credited back to my credit card.

I rented a car online through a third party. When i arrived at the facility I waited 45 minutes to be assisted. When I finally got assisted the car I reserved (7 seat large suv) was not available and the rep wanted me to pay 20$ a day extra for a 7 passenger large suv.

The manager came over(maria) and told me of I didnt like it she would cancel my reservation and I could leave.

I refused to pay extra for the same car and the car they wanted to give me was not equivalent.

I had my 3 daughters with me trying to enjoy the start of our vacation. I said this is F-ed up. She said were sorry were not giving you the 7 passenger suv for free.

The manager Maria told me to leave or she was calling the police. I asked to speak to her boss and she said she was the boss.

on top of that she was malicious and told me that she was going to let the shuttle bus driver know not to take me and my family back to the airport.

instead of having a confrontation I took an Uber to another rental car company and paid almost twice as much for a much smaller vehicle

on top of that I spent almost 2 hours last night on the phone and another hour and a half this morning trying to reach a corporate office for advantage and all they were able to do was escalated complaint back to the same manager Maria at the Wally Park location.

The worst part about it was when I went online looking for car rentals at other locations they still were advertising a seven seat SUV for rental available immediately

On August 11, 2023, Advantage Rent a Car committed deceptive, fraudulent actions towards me.
I should have only been charged $300 for unlimited miles. When I arrived at the City of Las Vegas Airport to turn the rent a car in. Advantage Rent a Car said I owed $1,852.73 instead of the $300 dollars for unlimited miles. There is no written statement on the Advantage Rent a Car contract stating the fact, that if I go to any other states besides, California, Utah, Nevada or Arizona. I would be charged an additional $1,552.73 This information was not stated or given to me verbally or in writing by Advantage Rent a Car. As of, August 12, 2023, I have sent written complaints to five government agencies regarding the fraud that Advantage Rent a Car committed towards me. there five government agencies I sent written complaint to are Nevada Office of the Attorney General, Nevada Department of Consumer Affairs, Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles Occupational Business and Licensing, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Due to the fact that Advantage Rent a Car committed fraud against me I want a full refund for $1,552.73 dollars, I should have never been charged an additional $1.552.73. Advantage Rent a Car committed fraud.

I booked a rental car reservation w/ Advantage Rent a Car (Las Vegas Airport location) on behalf of my Father, who is elderly. The initial reservation totaled $370.01. Upon my Father returning the vehicle, I received a copy of the final Statement, which showed the total at $804.58. Of this charge, I questioned my Father as to (3) specific charges totaling $309.90. These (3) charges were for: (A) Collision Damage Waiver; (B) Roadside Assistance; and (C) Supplemental Liability Insurance. I asked my Father why he didn't decline the additional insurance options, and he stated that he was told by the woman behind the counter that he had to show them his auto insurance policy in order to decline these options. I also asked him why he did not decline the roadside assistance since he already had AAA. All of this was relayed to the woman behind the counter. I spoke with an employee on 8/16/23 and explained that I felt their practices were not only unethical, but predatory. This employee spoke with his manager "D'Angelo" who said they would need my Father to contact them directly to make any kind of decision. I do not feel that my Father is of the mental capacity to handle this himself, and so I am advocating for him.

My friends and I rented a car for a week starting July 26. We returned the car, and the business sent a receipt with a summary saying that the car had no damage. Despite this, the business has not returned the $200 security deposit that was meant to be refunded as soon as the car was returned with no damage.
We have called the business several times, and they have completely ignored every attempt we have made to get our security deposit back, though their policies state that it should be returned to us. We have pictures of the car before and after we rented it, as well as an itemized receipt from the business and their confirmation that the car was in fact returned with no damage.
