We rented a car from this company. Our plan was arriving later at night which was indicated on the rental reservation. Once we arrived to airport, we learned we had to take a bus to a different location to get to rental counter. The bus never showed up and by the time I could get someone on the phone, they had already given our car away. Two weeks later, I was charged a fee for the rental car that I never received but tried to pick up. The company is refusing to refund the money saying I never showed up.

Ms. ******** reservation was scheduled for a pickup at 11:15 PM at our location, which closes at 12:00 AM. Unfortunately, as noted in our records, ********* did not arrive to pick up the vehicle during the specified time and did not show up before our location closed. As a result, the reservation was considered a "no-show," and the $50 no-show fee was applied in accordance with our policy.
Our *************************** was contacted by Ms. ****** on December 28 at 8:09 AM, the following day. A note in her reservation from the customer service team indicates that Ms. ******* flight was delayed, preventing her from picking up the vehicle as scheduled. She inquired if it was still possible to pick up the vehicle and was informed that our location had no availability at that time.
We understand that travel disruptions can occur, and we make every effort to accommodate our customers. However, in this case, the no-show fee was applied in line with our standard policy, and we regret that Ms. ****** was unable to pick up the vehicle as planned.

hi ,Rented the car at Advantage rent a car -orlando ,Fl from Dec 26 to Dec 30th . At the start of the rental the car was given to me with just quarter tank gas . The employee who does the initial inspection also checked and asked to return the car at same gas level .I did return the car with same level of gas(quarter tank) .On dec 31 2024 I see the charges for $92.67 on my CC and there was no details on why the charges was for .Called Advantage customer care and got the answer saying this was charged for fuel since i returned back only as quarter tank . Since then tried to approach advantage rent a car multiple times through email and messaging on portal . Havent heard back anything yet on these additional charges .Appreciate they act on this and provide me the refund back without much delay .Also this scenario should never be reported for any one who wish to rent the car from this company .Attaching the proof of receipt and pic of fuel tank before i rented

Weve credited the fuel charge to the renters account and apologize for any inconvenience caused. The credit amount is $92.67 and should be reflected in 3-5 business days depending on their card issuer.

Is it possible that the Car Rental company can see that your phone number belongs to the BBB?  When you call them does your company name come up on the caller ID?  Have you tried calling on a personal pone that does not read Better Business Bureau?

This company misrepresented multiple aspects of their services and costs, and outright lied about others. They lied about the state tolls and fees, forcing us to pay additional money for a toll pass that we used only once. We were told we would go through many tolls and the state would send us a bill for a $50 fee for any toll we go through without paying - and that there is no way to pay for the tolls when you go through them. It was late at night when we arrived and we are not from *******, so we felt there was no option other than to take the word of someone who lived there and worked for the company. We later felt purposely lied to and misled to buy a product we did not need. We showed proof of insurance, which they accepted, but they still charged us for coverage. When we called for assistance regarding the insurance charge they told us the employee had us sign the wrong forms but they could do nothing about the charge. They charged us $250 more than we were quoted - which we were informed was a hold on our account that we would receive back, but we never received that money back. We have called multiple times and have been told there is nothing anyone can do to help us and they cannot reimburse any of our money, including the additional $250 which seem to be some hidden fees, though we were told was just a hold. When we call and explain our issues they tell us its our word against an employee, and they cannot and will not help us or escalate to another person that can help us.

I reserved a car through priceline. My estimated charges was ***** for 4 days. When I got to the counter I requested toll package be added which was ***** per day. so an additional ***** plus taxes. I carry ******** express premier car rental coverage. The agent required me to use my personal insurance rather than allowing me to use my ******** express rental coverage. He was going to add liability coverage to my rental if I didn't. He said my amount was going to be $143. He asked me signed a digital pad. When I ask him what *** agreement was, he said it is mandatory roadside assistance. Each car has to carry it. He didnt tell me how much it added to my rental. He said I would receive a text and email with the contract and charges. I never received a contract. I called the 800 number and the lady was really rude. She said the mandatory roadside was 5.99 per day which added 24 dollars + tax. This is part of the amount that increased my cost to $143. It is a bait and switch. They do not tell priceline the hidden charges. They only tell priceline the charge for the car not all the hidden fees. Then the customer gets to the counter and is charged fees that are not optional if the customer wants to rent the car. The ********************** agent knows the customer has no other option so the customer pays it. Worst experience I have ever had. They say every charge is due to florida law which is not true. I have rented from about 12 different companies in the Orlando area never seen as many hidden charges and demands for customer to do what the merchant ask them to do when it comes to adding charges to their bill.

I booked a rental car on Expedia for $ ***** and carefully read the terms and conditions. The photos attached show the receipt, saying all mandatory taxes and fees included, and the terms and conditions related to insurance that were given with my booking. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told I had to purchase additional insurance (see rental car document, which shows purchase of a Partial Damage Waiver and **************** Plan), bringing my total to $150.80. These coverages are listed as optional, yet I was told I could not take my reserved car without them. I told the agent multiple times that I did not want any optional coverage but she insisted they were not optional and would not allow me to pick up my reserved car without them. I came prepared with documentation of my personal car insurance and additional insurance through my credit card but was told that I still had to accept the *** and ROAD coverage in order to take the car. I emailed Advantage after picking up the car to again state that I wanted the optional coverage removed. The company has not responded

Dear *********** am writing to report an unfair rental car issue involving Advantage. They forced me to purchase their insurance protection plan, which was unnecessary. I hope you can assist me in resolving this matter. Here is what happened:I rented a passenger vehicle from Advantage from December 13, 2024, to December 21, 2024, in Orlando, **. The vehicle's license number is ******, and the ********************** agreement number is MCO-******. At the rental office, I informed the customer service representative at the front desk that my insurance carrier, Frankenmuth, provides coverage for rental cars, including roadside assistance, collision damage, and more. However, the representative refused to accept my insurance coverage and insisted that I purchase the insurance offered by Advantage, which also included roadside assistance and collision damage. This additional insurance cost me a total of $247.84.Later, I realized that the mandatory insurance requirement from Advantage might not be reasonable. Therefore, I conducted research online and discovered that requiring me to purchase their insurance despite my existing coverage was not only unreasonable but also against standard commercial practices. On December 23, 2024, I called Advantage **************** to request assistance with this issue. Unfortunately, they dismissed my concern, stating it was too late to address it. Furthermore, they reiterated that purchasing their insurance was mandatory, even after I explained my situation.I kindly request your assistance in resolving this unfair issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,****** *****

Booked Car Rental for agreed amount with Advantage USA Went to pick up rentat Dec 12/24.I have a Canadian Drivers Licence. I was told my ********************** nor my **** credit card was not allowed as insurance coverage (company policy). I was told numerous times this is on the website--so I checked it was not on the website and then I was told by the same employee that is in the agreement--so I checked the agreement and it does not say anything. Anyways, I had bought USA insurance earlier from a different company and said I have USA coverage do you want to see. The employee said I have to buy their mandatory coverage if I have a Canadian Drivers licence. I told her that made no sense.I called Advantage today, Dec 17/24, asking where does it say I have to buy their insurance coverage. Again, numerous times telling me it is on the website but cannot tell me where, I checked while on the phone and said there is nothing there. Then the person on the phone said I had signed for the insurance so I cannot get a refund. I called **** to dispute and they said they cannot do anything since I had signed. They lied to me about the charges, told me to sign (it was late and long flight), so I did and now I cannot dispute.

I reserved a rental online in October for $63.69. I declined the insurances and road side. I had my insurance with me. I have full coverage. I declined any extra optional services . These guys charged me $255.67. I feel like I was tricked. I want the money back for what I was Overcharged. This is not a nice thing to do to people who don't have money. I was there helping from the storm as a volunteer near *******. Please refund what you overcharged me. I provided my insurance . I called while I was there and no one seems to want to help me. How is this ok to do to anyone.

I had a contract through ********* to rent a car from Advantage for $122.49. Advantage then proceeded to charge me $362.24. They told me I had no choice, and if I didn't want to pay it, I could go back to the airport (they're offsite) and rent from another company. Advantage is scam company, and I want a refund for the difference.
