  This guy in particular ******** was trying to scam me out of my deposit. Wouldnt check the car before he dropped me off to the airport I paid for a week and only used for four days. He was very unprofessional and rude made me in fear for my life. The car ride back to the airport made me so uncomfortable because his window was broken and I stayed on the phone with my dad because of how angry and rude the guy was treating me. I could go on and on about how he treated me beforehand and how he disrespected me after dropping the car off. He left his place of business to keep me stranded so I wouldnt get to the airport on time. Then he refused to take me until I threatened him with the cops. He kept giving me disgusted faces. Wouldnt help me with my luggage at the airport because he was upset. And I felt like he kidnapped me because when I asked for my $200 deposit he tried to give me a book of excuses until I threatened to call the cops multiple times. I feel absolutely flabbergasted by all of this

  I wish I could give a negative 5 stars. Jumped through all the hoops with the Insurance and printing out my own voucher. When I arrived at said office there was a block on wifi and data service so you couldn't pull up any information they needed. I asked for **** password said he had to call his boss for permission?? So made my phone a hot spot pulled it up on iPad and sent pdf he was not Happy. Now let's get to the Tolls..... I have a sunpass and a transmitter in my possession was told it was not allowed and wouldn't work also told it would be ***** per toll..... I was charge ****** for $5.42 in tolls. That is absolutely Positively ridiculous and Robbery. They "claim" they are not an **************** and your credit card needs to be open for out of country charges..... should of been my first clue. Absolutely Positively THE worst company you could ever rent from. Drove rhe car less than 100 miles returned it full and clean. To be charged an extra 105 dollars for "tolls" . They also try and get you to buy out of country Insurance...... this is America shop.and only do Business with Amercans ! Save our country people like this need to go back to whatever country accepts this kind of business operations...... no wonder BBB WONT ACCREDITE THEM I WOULDNT EITHER!

  Check Better Business Bureau and read all the reviews first. Stay away from this company!!!! They don’t want return customers!! Rented a car in May. Bought the insurance to cover any damages to the car plus collision INS. Returned the car and a week later they tried to run my card for an additional 700.00 for a scratch on the bumper. They were in possession of the car for a week before they discovered a scratch that apparently wasn’t there on return. ***!!!
  Thank goodness my credit card company denied the bogus charge.

  If there was a negative star review they would get the worst one possible. This company is a rip off. They say no hidden fees but they lie. They rent cars to people in Florida, and charged my card $200 for sand on a mat that they can take out and shake. Do not use this company. They don’t answer phones and the online price is different from what they charge you in person.

  We are sorry you had a bad experience, but in this case the vehicle was delivered with a lot of beach sand, which is stipulated in our contract, if you do not comply, a cleaning fee will be charged.

  This company is a rip off and a scam!! You do not need to use their insurance!! I used reward points thru my credit card for a rental car. In my confirmation email from credit card showing the rental car company RJ rental. I was suppose to pay $0. Well that was a lie! They said shuttle service from airport was free and they still charged for that. I have my own car ins but they would only allow getting theirs. All the contract they gave you sign and initial it shows the option to decline insurance. My drop off time was noon but my flight did not depart until 7pm that night so I texted them because that is how they communicate because they do not have good English. Asking how much would I need to pay for the extra hours. I was told $52.50 until 4pm. I asked what the hourly charge was and she told me $45 an hr. Take my bad experience and go with a reliable rental car service!!! DO NOT USE RJ RENTAL!!! It is a scam!! Oh and the rental I had must of been a personal vehicle because it really needed a front end alignment, the touch screen in the car did not work.

  I rented a car through ******** from RJ Car Rental. The customer service was good. But what I did not like was, you can only communicate with them through text message. I texted to ask if I could pick the car up a little early. They responded yes, no problem. This is where the problem is, I was charged an extra day for the tolls because you have to prepay the tolls, which was fine. But because I picked up the car at 1:15 instead of 3 pm, I was charged for the 3 days instead of the two days I had reserved the car for. Two hour early is was the additional time. Also, they do not give you the option to decline the CDW. If you don't get it, then you will not be able to rent the car. I tried to explain to the agent that I have my own insurance, but she said I had to get theirs, which I think is unfair to the consumer (ME). Let me decline if I want to. In addition to charging for the tolls, they charged me an additional fee for the Sunpass device. That is totally unfair and a rip off in my opinion. I DONOT recommend using this company EVER. This was my first and last time using them. I think there are charges that are a total rip off and there is no way around it. Unfortunately, I could not cancel the contract because I had already paid the rental fee to ******** and I did not find out about these additional charges until I was at RJ Car Rental. So pleasse be aware of what you are getting into before you rent from these smaller companies.

  RJ Rental used a bait and switch trick to get our business. We booked a car for $30/day only to be told when we arrived that we had to pay an additional $25/day for insurance. There was NO mention of this in the confirmation email we received. We refused to pay that and they would not cancel our reservation and kept our money. We lost money, time, and had a horrible start to our vacation. My husband and I are 58 and 61 years old and we have never had an experience like this after renting a car many times over the years, and have NEVER posted a bad review.

  Wow where to begin. Started out good with a prompt ride from MCO to RJ Car Rental. Downhill fast thereafter. The young woman behind the desk informed me my Florida Sun Pass Pro was discontinued in Florida. Hmmm I had just received the transponder in the mail a couple weeks ago I exclaimed. I then presented my voucher and insurance rider. The agent then wrote down the amount due today in addition to my booking.com voucher. Hmmm I was informed the rental had been paid in full and the deposit would be an additional $200. Nope the agent said fees, taxes, toll pass, are an additional $356 plus the $200 deposit. So my total rental went from $119 for the week to almost $500 plus a $200 dollar deposit just by walking in the door. I promptly asked for a ride back to the airport. My wife and I were given a quick ride back to MCO
  where we rented a BMW at Sixt for a week, less than $400. Also I used My Sun Pass Pro transponder no problems for Florida tolls. Classic bait and switch!

  I have rented a vehicle from RJ Car Rental from October 1st to 13th, 2022.
  Soon after, I received a charge on my credit card for toll charges and I opened a dispute. However during this period, tolls were suspended - from Sep 27th, 2022 up to Oct 15th, 2022 -by Govern Act, in preparation and evacuation for Hurricane Ian, in Central Florida Expressway Authority’s (CFX) in their 125 mile system, according to release: ******************************************************************************************************************************
  Nevertheless, RJ Car Rental sent to my credit card a fake toll transaction spreadsheet., which never took place… I sent an email to E-PASS that promptly replied that I was correct, confirming that there was no toll charge in the period and "also do not have any toll hits on our system for that plate during that time period since our tolls were lifted..." .Such dishonest attitude by the company RJ Car Rental deserves to be known by other consumers.
